The defenders will likely be entrenched in bunkers.

Your population (meaning the whole country) should match that of your historical counterpart or whatever countries you own. For example, I'd be using the total population of California and Baja. In the early 1910's.

In wartime it can be anything, though that's if you can support it all. I suggest everyone use the population of your chosen country at that time and/or combine it with you other countries., we don't want 10 billion guys in one nation because someone is basing it off of there ns nation.

Actually, during WW2, US had 8% in their armed forces and Germany went up to 11% before economy failed from allied bombing and no workforce
