Since then, I have asked (twice now) for thoughts upon my population so I could officially set my military size and have received no response, until now. I am aware that population is very high and I set it thusly for two reasons. One, the Jakial are asexual and reproduce like crazy. Second, because of this, they for all practical purposes must constantly be at war; if not with outsiders, then they will dissolve into civil war.
If this number is simply too high to be acceptable, could we perhaps compromise on a lower one?

Let me explain a little. Despite this new account, I've been around these parts for... let's say a decent amount of time. I've seen FT groups pop up and fizzle out. All the time. They seem to always be started by and contain the same people all the time. The same small group of RP elitists that make you go through oh so much nation prep (The amount of information required in this app seems a bit absurd, to be honest) only to have no one want to RP with you because you're not one of the 'cool kids'. Aside from that, no one ever starts any real, lasting RP between nations which inevitably leads to that groups demise.

The NSFT community as a whole is so fractured it's crazy. You have people only doing closed invite RPs that have little to do with anything, you have newbs, boobs, godmoding asshats and you have 15-year-old elitist dickweeds that think they know everything about everything and always have some way to one-up you. Everyone talks about the 'Rule of Cool' and the 'Code of Bro' but no one really follows it. If you want to play your nation one way, because you think it's cool (and can actually pull it off), you'll get shunned by your FT peers because it's not 'realistic'.

And now, I'll get shunned for having the balls to point out what I've seen in my time here. It just confuses me.

I don't follow and code of bro, or rule of cool, but if you've even bothered to look around through the thread, then you would have noticed that there are rules and guidelines in place that ensure that everybody interacts with everyone else. We ensure we don't have godmodding asshats because we eject them the moment they start, and what's wrong with newbs and elitists? As for boobs, I don't know what you mean by that. You just seem like you've had bad experiences with II and the FT RPs in general, and you're just butthurt over it. You got rejected from one of the groups and now you're generalizing and complaining about all of them. And if you can explain away floating sentient gas bags as "realistic", which is one of the species contained in this group, I'll give you a nobel prize.

Anaheim, if you don't like something, why even bother trying to change it? Your points aren't even relevant, not everyone here is a "cool kid" or an elitist, or any other generalized title. I've just started FT a month ago, and it's one of the best communities I've found on NS. If you take the time to put work into your apps, instead of just hand waving your omnicidal planet eating robots, or your ion blaster eyed titanium skinned shark spiders, then you won't be rejected. If you don't try, if you don't put the effort in, then you'll be rejected and no amount of OOC spamming will change that.

If you don't like it, just leave. We aren't offended, you haven't changed our community, you've done nothing other than complain. FT will continue whether you're in it or not.

Yeah I was going off of that too, assuming medical technology was advanced enough to allow genetically similar races to interbreed and create sterile offspring. I suppose that if that's too radical though, I could edit that the human colonists simply outbred the Neratii while adopting/mixing cultures with them, and learning advanced biotics from them. Still doesn't seem as cool as a whole hybrid race, though .
