My air force is pretty fucked. At least, until we get those reinforcements. Hopefully.

So is mine. Because of weird decisions, the 250 planes in reserve completely pulled out, leaving my 38 fighters to their death

We have like 50 left in the air.

We may have the best birds in the sky, but they don't amount to much whenever hundreds of less-advanced, yet reliant fighters are hording around you.

And once again I stress that we should consolidate many ideas into one post - not because I pursue the vanity of entering ultra-long posts, but because it makes many ideas more coherent and continuous.

And I realise that I sometimes also made brief posts, and I'll admit fault.

Combat situations are excepted.

Just do what I'm doing with Syria or whatever and ignore them until they can make better posts. The RP still has plenty of quality, imo. I feel SI, NT, myself perhaps, and (although brief) Them and Ardavia are still positively contributing.

While I'm glad to see that this RP has attracted new players and brought back old ones, I am feeling a little concerned by the drop in post quality, in particular the bagpipe spam and the trololol flying swastika made out of crashed planes. But instead of complaining, I'm going to try and give some constructive criticism, things I learned in my own first days at NS.

(1) Try to use characters instead of third-person reporting. Even if it's still the same information, saying it through the eyes of a pilot, soldier, or commander adds a new layer of detail beyond stating what a group of soldiers happened to do somewhere. This works even better if you build on the characters' personalities, and add dialog between them.

(2) Remember that your forces aren't all-knowing; they can't predict every attack that comes their way. Yes, there are times when you can react effectively, but the fighting shouldn't devolve into a bunch of units miraculously counteracting each other's attacks. Take losses every now and then, and let yourself be caught by surprise; hopefully your opponent will do the same.

(3) Think twice before using a unit/weapon/strategy that's overpowered. I understand we have a lot of PMT nations here, but anything that massively exceeds the bounds of reality will give you a poor reputation. Don't throw around radiation weapons and super-soldiers as if they were child's toys; save them for the moments you need them most, and then use them wisely and sparingly.

Again, I give my obligatory apology if it seems like I'm imposing on anyone or overstepping my bounds here, but I feel like with a few small changes we can get this RP up to an acceptable level.
