Zombie Apocalypse RP Intrest thread

I just want to start this by saying, I'm still fresh here, if this is the wrong thread for an 'intrest' thread, please tell me so I can move it.

Anyway, as none of you know, I am a huge fan of the zombie genre. Yes it has been over done, and yes there is pretty much nothing new that can be done for the genre. It has been pretty much milked. However I remain a loyal fan to the rotting ones. The societal and psychological impacts of an apocalypse have always interested me, as it is often what people perceive to be what humans would be in their most basic form, and how they would function. The zombie apocalypse is my favourite form of this as the ever pressing danger causes constant stress, leading to eventual breakdowns, and impossibility of finding a comfortable life unless you strike gold somewhere.

Now I am not obsessed but I have done a bit more study of a zombie uprising than your average Joe. I read the books, I play the games, I study the movies from time to time, but I always end up thinking. This is one persons take on the apocalypse. This is one persons opinion or prediction. What I want, is a group of peoples ideas, how they think they would react.

I'm sure someone one this site has done a zombie survival RP but I wanted to make my own. I would like to make an RP where you play yourself during a zombie outbreak. You will become my loyal test subjects.

So, the way I would set this up. I will pull a map from google maps of a small town, and designate an area for players to choose a house. Then, the outbreak is released. It is entirely up to you how you react, but I want you to be true, to what you think you would really do in this situation. If you think barricading yourself in your house is the way to go, you do that, if you honestly think starting up the chainsaw and going on a rampage through the streets is a good idea, then it's your funeral. I will control a few NPC's, but my main job will be to control the zombies. Using all the zombie lore and such I have learnt over the years, I will try to simulate the most realistic Zombie apocalypse I can.

If you think you are interested, post below, as well as any suggestions. If I get enough interest, I will create a application thread, and telegram everyone interested with the link.

I really like zombie RPs, but this should be moved to Portal to the Multiverse. Don't worry though, I'll tell the mods and they'll move it. Love the idea, though, it sounds like Class 3 Outbreak.

just make sure we have a variety of characters and not everyone is a cop or a soldier, gets retarded lol.

You should DM like D&D style with zombies but it can be a big toll on you or DM specific events

I've seen zombie RPs last for years - look through the archives at ZORT, it was zombie/fantasy and only died when we created a real life spin-off which split people's attention

Remember the idea of the RP is to play yourself. Ofcourse you can change your name and age but as long as your character thinks like you.
