In the north

the storm finally hits the colony.
For now it is quite weak, but the bad part has still to come.
Many people are leaving the colony by plane, luckely the planes can still be defrosted for some hours at least. The airports are working at full capacity to get as much goods in, and as much people out as possible.

In Kyle's office

"It are hard times indeed" Kyle said with a small sight. "The south Azuran colony will be able to assist you, the north however can't do much becouse they were not prepared at all for this storm, they will be suffering damage as well." he said while walking towards his balcony looking over the beautiful scenery of the southern sea.
"I will also give the order to build refugee camps on the northern border, doctors and such will also be present to treat wounded or sick people. Supplies are also not a problem, should you need some we will be able to provide them." Kyle said with a slightly happy voice.

Then he turned arround and went to the holographic map of Azuran. He zoomed in to the south west of the continent, seeing Sheng airships as dots. Then he saw an airbase in the area.
"And about the Canucks..." Kyle said with a very positive voice " We will give you cover from our coastal artillery, just mark targets and send the fire coordinates to the coastal arillery and they will follow your orders. But we can do more than just giving artillery fire. Should you need it, we can send multiple fighter squadrons to aid you. If you need them you can send a message to 'airfield AZU-gamma' and request aid there."

He then turned back to his desk and sits down. "The canuck thread in the south won't last much longer, one of our allies will soon strike them very hard, they won't know what hit them."
"So is there anything else I can assist you with?" Kyle then asked
"Even When broken a sword may still cut."

The blizzard also hit the separate lands of Ber-Asurina, Virgicum and Ugazir. Authorities reported few incidents of snowfall avalanches and strong snowy winds over the area. The Far North Fleet halted their destructive advance because of the blizzard that hit the Continent. Though they continued their missile barrage over the enemy ships, the Far West Fleet does also the same.

The Commonwealth Dominion new and the first elected president swore his oath inside the Palace of the Governments in the capital city. He also made a speech of the current events and the new projects he will start for this young nation.

She smiled and sighed relief from the words of the Governor. "I thank you from the deepest crevices of my heart. I can deal with this storm knowing that my people can find some help from somewhere should I fail at it. In preparation, I have ordered the reopening of the train system between our two colonies. The southern segment of the colony is secure. The north near the old canuck territory is still being investigated so your access is limited to Xinjia City." Before continuing she places she places a black cigarette between her lips and with her thumb lights a match. Burning a cheery she inhales deeply and bellows the smoke out.

She turns her attention to her map once more, "Excellent news on your support against the Canuck's in the Western Ocean as well. Heavy artillery from your shores will take them off guard and assure victory for Imperial Forces or at least there withdrawal to gain us the field." She reads a note handed to her by an aid. "I've just been notified, that the Crown Prince has indeed just launched a salvo of missiles onto the Canuck airship fleet. I will inform the Crown Prince of your agreement of artillery support and offer of air power in this battle. He will be thankful for it no doubt, but I will not be sure if it will be necessary until he has engaged them fully. I thank you on his behalf nonetheless."

"With that, good sir, that shall conclude this call. Should I find myself in need once more though, I hope to count on you for future support."

The President heard about a blizzard that was going on in the north. Hydroni Azuran was in the far south, so it would be spared, but could it really afford to sit there while the other nations perished? After a long debate, it was decided that any nation that asked could receive a thousand troops to help rescue people. Preparations were made for the training and deployment of 10,000 troops immediately.

The southern fleet reaches its aligned position with the alahanese fleet, ready for battle with Canuck. Side by side, all the naval officers on every boat salute the rising war flag of Azaflaza once again as the national anthem rings out, installing pride and high morale within them.

Up north people hunker down in their homes in new Allerdale ready to fight their own battle with the looming blizzard, 'st nick'. However the colonies have a new problem to deal with, with the winter the emergency services, including the police have been stretched to their limits. Plus with the majority of the governments having retreated south to Pangea, there was a sense of lawlessness. This has prompted an increase in gang crime and drug warfare.

In response to this, the governments have issued martial law and a curfew in Balot and Stopia. While this may seem like an overreaction, the governments assure the populace that this temporary until this one off winter is over, after which more conventional methods will be brought in. If the problem still persists that is.

This was clear. The orders were no more given by the Virgicine military commanders, but now of the High Military Command of the Quirina National Armed Forces, the total and ultimate command center of the Republic.

The Far North Fleet encountered fighter jet-like drones, whose size looks like a real aircraft. Determined to the challenge, men on board man the CIWS, Dagger ROADS, a missile defense system, and other AA armaments such as missile pods, microwave weaponry, and autocannons to defend the battered fleet.

Orders for the Far North Fleet:
Pin down all those enemy drones detected on range! Use your microwave beam armaments and autocannons to take them down. Continue the pincer movement!
Longsword-class, continue the missile strike bombardment over the enemy ships!

Orders for all Task Forces in Far North Fleet:
Continue the delegated movements for you! Advance and destroy the enemy! Utilize all possible weapons for the assault. Leave no one alive!

The drones fired off missile after missile, both the small and agile QF-15 Reaper Mk.II Drones to the heavy and powerful QF-22 Raptor fighter jets. The drones were to buy time for the retreat of the fleet, so that they could last as long as possible. Drones dodged missiles and gunfire, their infra-red lights detecting lasers and dodging as fast as they could, but it was almost impossible. Drone after drone fell to the enemy's fire, but they would go out in a blazing glory, firing off as many missiles as they could.

Back at the fleet, they were already turning tail, hoping to beat the Quirinan's to their pincer movement, hoping to get out alive as they sped away. Commander Lowski had a gash on her forehead, not to mention her arm felt sprained, and she was limping. The Hope had taken many hits from the enemies. However, she would not give up. Even though her forces had done what had needed to be done, distract, she needed to get out alive, she needed the two carriers to get out alive. She sighed, sitting in her chair as she watched the holotable, seeing the battle unfold, railgun shell after railgun shell, guided missile after guided missile, it was all just routine for her now. But, she wouldn't give up. She felt blood drip down her face, along with sweat. She had been stressed beyond belief, but she knew that the battle was almost over.

Prince Wei was once more in the command center of the Fenghuang battlecruiser. The glow of the screens and hologram gave the bridge an odd but intense atmosphere. Officers, technicians, and the like running about chattering amongst themselves as they look over the equipment in the room continuing to input code and the such to bring up images on the hologram table that the Prince looked over.

"Open the blast shields! I want to look out on the sea." The Prince ordered. Quickly the front of the command station shifted, a ray of light began to streak through as the walls seemingly split open. However what was revealed was a observation windshield behind a thick wall of shifting metal sliding away. As the shield wall spread the sun light shown through, most needed to shield there eyes from the darkness to bright light. With the light the command center was revealed in the light to be quite large with dozens of people on different levels at stations and monitors. The Prince's throne commanded the room on a slightly raised platform in the center of the room with a large hologram table that could rise and fall at his command standing in front of him.

The Prince allowing his eyes to adjust looked out to see the length of his battlecruiser and its massive guns on deck. A cruiser on each flank slightly ahead of his own. Before them the expanse of the blue ocean and the partly cloudy sky ahead of them. The only obstruction was the smoke trails coming from the cruisers and the deck of his own ship.

Prince Sheng Wei looked back down to his hologram display. The image of a volley of missiles having been launched from their decks moving south toward a airship fleet. "They think they can hide from us. We'll give them a friendly greeting to the continent." The Canuckland airship fleet had been spied on by Sheng satellites and was reproduced on the hologram table.

Rocketing towards the Canuckland fleets Sheng airships have launched supersonic missiles of hyper intelligence, being lead by not only on board computer system, but as well by Sheng satellite intelligence. Another missiles type having been launched is a Sheng concussion missile which on detonation not only leads to a large scale destructive explosion but an EMP blast as well.

Sheng Wei looked over to his generals who surrounded the hologram table in their own chairs now revealed by the light. "Ship shields up. Prepare for possible return fire. General Zhang and General Guan prepare your fighters jets and ship escorts. I want to be ready should they attempt to retaliate."

"General Guo and General Jia continue to move the fleet into a wide flanking motion." Prince Wei ordered off. Each man standing and saluting the Prince.

The airships across the fleet began to hum as their magnetic shielding along their hauls whirled on from their generators. The air decks on the Fenghuang and the multiple cruisers of the fleet prepared their jets and defensive small craft for possible takeoff. All while the Sheng Imperial Airship fleet moved wide into the ocean to flank the Canucks on the left.

The General sighed. "Turn on the experimental shields, and make sure that weapons are still preped, but cut engines so we don't strain the ships." He said, sitting down in his chair as he looked at the holotable. The satellite fleet above Azuran provided valuable information from the battlefield, including the approaching enemy airfleet. The Sheng Chinese airfleet, to be exact. Though this was basically the Canuck fleet's maiden voyage, they would have something to show for it.

The missiles on the holotable got closer to the fleet. "Fire Close-In-Weapons-Systems....Now!" The General shouted, feeling his ship rock slightly as microwave lasers and 30mm cannons fire off, trying to hit enemy missiles. It was only moments later, that he felt his ship thunder, the magnetic shielding had gotten a missile, but another had gotten through. It pierced the hull, and then the missile exploded. He took a deep breath. "Damage report!" He shouted, getting up off his chair. "Fire damage and hull breach, we're working on it!" A Lieutenant shouted, his hands working frequently as he typed away. He looked over at the window, and he saw more missiles. A few moments later, he saw a missile strike a Salamander Missile Frigate, it punctured right through and blew the ship apart, literally. Another ship beside it, a Charon Class Frigate, just started to slowly drop down, it's engines on, but it's stabilizers failing. It was a concussive wave.

A Stalwart Class Frigate fired off it's spinal main gun, a single massive railgun that could fire off 3 times per charge. But it would have to cool down for a few minutes, and let the smaller 50mm railguns and missiles take over. It's main gun fired once, the massive shell being flung across the sea towards the enemy fleet, to hopefully hit something. Then it fired again, and then again. Soon after, a few missiles were fired from the bays, and then the smaller railguns fired. It was unleashing it's full power. The General smirked. "All ships, fire at will." He said softly through the comms. Moments later, he felt gun after gun after gun fire towards the enemy fleet, as missiles rained down upon the Canuck fleet.

30 Minutes away from the sea battle, near the Kármán line

Inside a flight of about 5 pelicans sat about 50 soldiers modified with experimental technology that made them as stronger than the most skilled fighters, as well as more agile.

Commander Hackett: Alright our orders are to drop into the battle and plant these explosives onto the largest ships we see on our way in. After which we will activate our oxygen supply and drop into the sea, descending until we reach the extraction sub. It's a fairly simple plan so don't fuck it up.

Soon they would drop out of the sky onto the battle below, hoping to put their largest ships out of commission.

A soldier on the deck of the Scarface looked up, he saw something, but he wasn't sure of it. He pointed up, and sure enough, others saw it too. Then they got closer, and closer. It was only a matter of moments before CIWS was activated, and SAMs, 30mm rotary cannons and microwave lasers were firing. Seconds later, a few of them were a ball of flames, but it wasn't enough. Two crashed into the Scarface, while another crashed into a frigate beside it. Another two crashed into the Scarface, and the rest fell into the sea. Then, it happened. Explosions happened all over a few of the ships. Whatever had fallen, they dropped packages. Whatever was on the deck, was surrounded by Marines and other naval personnel, while a 50. Orders for the Far North Fleet attacking the west Canuck fleets:

Two Submarine Task Forces, guard the Carrier Assault Task Forces and attack.
Two Submarine Task Forces, guard the Surface Action Task Forces at the center.

Total number of casualties (all sorts of damages): 9,072 personnel

The ships kept retreating, hoping to beat the pincer move and return to international waters, where they would be home free. Firing off shells again and again, while missiles were bombarding the enemy, especially the largest ship. According to satellite photos, the largest ship was a huge capital ship. It was identified as the Longsword-Class Warship, designed and distributed by Lyras. It's curious, why the Lyrans let them use the ship while not at war, and how it got there so fast by the time the Canucks invaded. Nevertheless, missile after missile and slug after slug were fired off, in an attempt to damage, or even sink the damn thing.

A submarine task force, one lurking in the deep, approached the Canuck fleet. Told to wait just outside 50km's, now sped ahead to try and buy the Canucks time. As soon as they got in range, a few ballistic missiles (Non nuclear) were fired off from the submarines, in hopes to confuse the enemy, as well as take a ship or two.

They propably went down with the ship while they were stuck there.

The southern fleet was finally in position, ready to fire. Now it is only waiting untill Canuckland fires first.

The fleet waited patiently. They were surrounded, that's for sure. Though they did land some people and secured some land, they needed more. Civilians were getting a little unresty, calling on the Commander to make a move. They were a civilian fleet with military escort, not anything else. Instead of stopping, they went full speed ahead, heading to the land of Izkovizki, or the islands rather. A neglected nation that disbanded after a while, these people could barely live by themselves. The Canucks here were on a humanitarian mission, rather than a mission of hate.

Commander Amy Jackson covered her mouth, smiling. "Copy that Captain Talbot. The Military escort and the Civilians will make their way to the rendezvous point, over." She said, smiling happily. Commander Sheridan sighed. He knew his fleet, both Civilian and Military, would either die trying to get in, or die trying to escape. If the defenders had a heart, they would let them pass and the military would leave. If, that is. But it seems not. this blizzard was dangerous. The previous one lost much of its power by passing over flazian territory, but now it will start much closer to our territory.

People were requested to purchase anti snow ecquipement to protect their house, car, etc from the cold.
Many people rushed to the stores to purchase their stuff.
Now its only waiting untill the blizzard strikes.

Goodday,

Here is a last warning, leave the south and we will allow free passage of your civilian ships.
The military escort will be taken as prisoners of war by us.

If you decline this offer then your southern colonies will be attacked.
We will try to avoid civilian casualties, but if you don't protect them we can't guarantee that they won't be shot.

So if you decline bring the civilians to safe zones, we want to prevent their deaths.

From: Commander Sheridan, Enforcer of the Canuck 5th Colonization Fleet

We mean no harm. The Civilian ships should be allowed past, but we should be let free and go home. We do not mean to start a battle here, the west was for that. We mean to colonize the lands that have been neglected, and save the people remaining. The military will see that the civilians land in the Annexed lands and the lands of Izkovizki, we will then be on our way back home and into international waters. If you decline, we will not fire, but wait for you to fire. The press will be waiting, my friend.

How could we not see ths coming? This is something that cannot happen again. An estimated of ten thousand people will die becouse of the cold itself, and becouse emergency vehicles won't be able to ride. Weather satelits are now being upgraded with the latstes and finest technologies, but still they do not detect the storm for some reason. There is something different about this storm. scientists from all over the republic are coming here to watch the strom and see what is wrong with it.

In the south

The navy is moving in, making a blockade on the southern Canuck colony. Nothing goes in or out. Now we hope that the Canucks will strike first so we can counter attack.

The phone rang and Kyle's assistant picked up.
"Sir, its Duchess Chen from Sheng China" the assistant said to Kyle

"Okay, pass the call to my phone" Kyle said while the call was being replaced to his phone. Then Kyle said "Greetings Duchess Chen, how can I assist you?"

Commander Sheridan kept going, the blips on his radar getting closer to his ship. This was the life or death moment for his fleet. Either they let the fleet pass, and the military goes home, or everyone dies. It was a simple, but hard choice. Unfortunately, it was not his to make.

As the fleet reached the massive sea gates, the first pair of gates opened slowly letting ships through. Then the second pair of gates opened and let the ships into colonial waters. On the docks, soldiers patrolled the area and watched as the ships docked. Two particular soldiers stood on the docks and watched the colonials unloading their equipment. A V-25 Groshawk hovered overhead to keep overwatch on the colonials to ensure their safety.

The pincer movement was still in its attacking phase. The Fleet knew they are damaging ships. The Longsword Warship was the main target of the enemy, but it only handle few damages, although burning areas were easily extinguished by fire teams on board. The damage of the attack move was moderate, compared to the earlier assaults of the scramjets.

The left flank task forces did not tried to entrap the enemy but instead chased the enemy fleet while maintaining parallel direction, firing their missiles and rounds and also taking casualties. The right flank does the same as the left. The center flank, the main and the strongest force in the pincer attack, remained in moving forward to chase down the enemy ships and finish them for good.

I have strict orders to make your forces leave the south of the continent.

Upon hearing new orders that a boarding task may be afoot the Flazian fleet reconfigured itself into new positions ready to move swiftly and effectively into the Canuck morass.
The rail gun divisions nearby on the coast are alert and primed in the event the Canuck ships were less then compliant.

Over the open waters, in the furthest reaches of the atmosphere a satellite rotated above, watching, waiting. On the other end of the cameras was a crowded room full of officials moving frantically about. Rows and rows of computers and their users typed away at phenomenal speeds. They were preparing for an almighty cyber attack.

Two Submarine Task Forces, guard the Carrier Assault Task Forces and attack.

The Military escort and the Civilians will make their way to the rendezvous point, over." She said, smiling happily. this blizzard was dangerous.

To: Southern Combined Navy

In Kyle's office

Soldiers on the deck of ships sighed. They knew this could be their last day, so they had already sent messages home. They knew they could be mentioned in papers all across Azuran and even in the home countries of the belligerents. Luckily, cameras have been set up, in case the Flazian or Alahanian fleets fire upon the civilian fleet.

The left flank task forces did not tried to entrap the enemy but instead chased the enemy fleet while maintaining parallel direction, firing their missiles and rounds and also taking casualties. The fleet kept speeding ahead as fast as possible, wanting to out beat the Quirinan's to international waters. Missile after missile, slug after slug was fired upon the enemy fleet, though the large blip, confirmed as the Longsword Class Warship, was nearing the edge of the missile's range. The retreating ships were at least another hour or so from International waters, where the Fascist Empire of Spatania had a few fleets on standby to assist their allies.

But before that can happen, the fleet fired missile after missile, the smoke from the VLS pods shooting up into the sky, before the small ball of light sped away to both the North and West, in hopes that more and more ships will fall to the Canuck War Machine.

Commander Lowski sighed. Her mission was done, but at a huge cost. Her small fleet, an average one, was beaten to submission by a larger, more powerful fleet that almost quintupled their numbers. She got up and looked at her table. The fleets were closing in on their attack, but tje Canucks were closing in on International waters.

The drones and drone fighter platforms fired off their armaments, missile after missile as they all head towards the north and west enemy fleets, hoping to hit something as they dodged the lasers, gunfire and missiles that come from what seemed like all directions. Everything from the thin frames strapped with missiles, to unmanned fighter jets armed to the teeth with missiles were being shot down, but they were at least going out with a bang, firing off their weapons as much as they could.

The blockade arround your colony will be maintained, unless you accept these terms:

Your civilan ships will be allowed to pass the blockade to return home.
Your military will be taken as prisoners of war and will be released on signing a peace treaty.
The equipment of the military will also be taken, and won't be returned to you when the war is going on. We might give a part back after signing a peace treaty.

We don't mean any harm. We are here to ensure that the civilians make it to the newly annexed lands. We already have people there, we are just dropping of some more. We will not open fire.

But be weary, we have the press on air and are filming the situation and your messages are being broadcast all over Azuran.

Tread lightly.

Another railgun shot had landed beside a civilian ship. Commander Sheridan's heart was racing. They were being fired upon, but nothing was working except for morse code in the form of lights. He sat in his chair. He looked off to his right, seeing a civilian cruise liner. Seconds later, it was struck by a missile. He stood up and his eyes widened. "No! That missile was for our ship!" He shouted, seeing people dive off the side of the exploding ship, unable to stop them, or stop his fleet. He wasn't going to fire yet, but he didn't want to lose more ships. He sighed and sat back down, seeing a railgun shell capsize a destroyer next to him. They were targeting both civilian and military ships.

Or so it seemed.

The last broadcasts before the night bombardment had begun was an interview with Sheridan. Now they had no clue what was going on, nothing came in or out.

Hopefully, they will make it through the night.

The pincer attack was somehow a success, to the extent it cost the Virgicine Navy much. The Far North Fleet was ordered to fall back to the continental waters to prevent a world war that might involve the seven mainland states in Sondria and all other nations at the neighboring continents, seeming that the whole Republic is angered at the cost Virgicum did committed. The Far North Fleet's rendezvous was to Ber-Asurina for repairs and re-arm.

The enemy unmanned aircraft were being intercepted by long range anti-air missiles and weapon systems of back falling destroyers and frigates. The Longsword proved to be the best warship the Lyran Arms and the Quirina Navy ever had. The Far West Fleet that had been stationary in its place while the whole battle was raging went to the coordinated borderline between the continental and international waters, assuring to still have the Canuck fleet on radars and satellite lines, yet not engaging it unless provoked.

The Canuck fleet won't retreat, so be it.
The flazian fleet is shooting at a part of the Cancuk fleet, but about half of the fleet could continue their journey.
Now they stumble upon our blockade. There is no way arround it. They aren't able to pass.
Their ships are closing in, our ships still holding fire, once that the Cancuk fleet is getting to close, boarding parties are being prepared and emp blasts as well.

The Canuck fleet was suffering badly, their navy was out numbered and out gunned. The fleet could now afford to be more careful of where they are hitting. The ships chase and draw Canuck military ships out into the open by separating them from the rest of the fleet. Once they were isolated they would be targeted.

Civilian ships were ignored as much as possible, often just being sailed by, showing that we were not targeting them. Some civilian ships were even being boarded and hijacked. Once in control of them they were taken out of the battle zone to a secured port in Aspiria where they could be kept safe until it was safe for them to be taken back home.

Over in Stopia, governor wright enforced his rule by further restricting the rights and communication of citizens. All foreign nationals were ordered to leave or face being arrested on suspicion of attempts to harm the colonies of Azaflaza. Most did in fact leave however some thousands refused and they were consequently arrested, often in the middle of the night, by a new police department set up by wright. They were in charge of 'dealing' with the non-cooperative. The military is an all too familiar sight on the streets of New Allerdale, Balot, Stopia, Pangea and Aspiria. There is faint rumours of dissent in all of the colonies besides Stopia, whom remains loyal to their governor.

The Canuck fleet had finally made it to international waters, where another fleet [Commanded by Commander Richter) and a Spatanian fleet [Commanded by Paul Miller] awaited them a few minutes out, just over the horizon. Lasers and CWIS were still working hard, but the bombardment was lessening, and they have reached international waters. The Canuck's had retreated, and the lands were basically secure. But no one knew what would happen next.

By the time the drones were destroyed, the fleet had gotten away. The drones had at least covered the escape, and destroyed a few ships while they were at it.

Call off your men! We'll retreat! Just let the civilians pass! Just stop firing at us, please!

Commander Sheridan filed the message and it sent, as a railgun shell hit the deck of his ship, the carrier named the Borden. The Commander and Captain, along with most of the crew fell over and hit the deck. The ship cracked a little where the shell entered, but no real damage. "All military ships, fall back! They promise to let the civilians pass!" The captain shouted, as his ship turned tail, a few following. A few seconds later, what was left of his small fleet had turned around, the civilian ships still going straight ahead.

I have a problem with the highlighted part. Civilians would've likely tried to stop them, by pushing them or something. I highly doubt that you would've been able to hijack any of them

The Civilian ships kept on going, most of them pushing soldiers as they tried to hijack their ships. Captains refused to hand over control, as they passed ship afters ship. They had a precious cargo, and they were told from the Prime Minister himself that they were to not back down. They all knew the score. The ones that gave in would be deported to Azaflaza, due to treason. The land was over the horizon now, as the ships sped ahead, trying to avoid the boarding parties and the ships.

A V-25 Groshawk hovered overhead to keep overwatch on the colonials to ensure their safety.

The Commander sighed happily, on the deck of her Carrier. She watched civilians and military get off the ships, heading into Volveken territory. She stayed on the deck, hoping that Captain Talbot would meet her personally after she had sent him a message. Nevertheless, she was happy. A few VTOL gunships helped unload equipment for the civilians, while landing crafts unloaded military supplies.

The military unloaded soldiers and equipment to make sure the Civilians were to make it to their new home.

Far North Fleet ships remaining: 101/188
Far West Fleet ships remaining: 188/188

I have strict orders to make your forces leave the south of the continent.

From: Commander Sheridan

We don't mean any harm. We are here to ensure that the civilians make it to the newly annexed lands. We already have people there, we are just dropping of some more. We will not open fire.

But be weary, we have the press on air and are filming the situation and your messages are being broadcast all over Azuran.

Tread lightly.

The Southern fleet kept advancing, not wanting to stop and wanting to possibly break the blockade. They were all promised lands, a bond, and starting money to get what they needed done. However, with this blockade, the Canuck's might leave disappointed, or dead. Most likely the latter.

But Commander Sheridan didn't give up. He knew he couldn't let these people down. So, he kept on going. "Lock and load, just in case. Load the railguns and and prepare a barrage of missiles. Fire only if they fire first." He said, watching a few Meryl Fighter Jets take off, followed by a single SCRAM Jet to lead them.

He thought to himself as he activated the emergency release button. Blowing the door towards
the soldiers in front of him. As the doors blew off the smoke system activated, clouding the surrounding area in smoke(a perk of being the commander). Then he dropped a dummy hologram to allow him to run off towards the weakest area of the ship indicated by his HUD...

Two soldiers in front of the pod were immediately knocked over, dying as the metal crushed their bones, organs and spirits. Soldiers fired at the Hologram, but to no avail. Through the smoke, they saw a soldier sprint off. They all took a knee, and fired off their assault rifles, while an Attack VTOL Gunship hovered above, rotating it's dual 25mm rotary cannon to warm it up.

Speaking at a late night press conference this is what he had to say.
"My people, we are facing an imminent threat from the filthy Canucks. Tonight they brutally murdered my friends and colleagues and their families in an attempt to test the resolution of this great nation. Well they will find we are not to be messed with. It is time we ended this game of cat and mouse and hit the Canucks hard. We beat them in Grecia and we will beat them again!"

The fleet that had been stalking the Canucks for days on end now began firing at the military ships. They unleashed a heavy payload. At the same time the cyber warfare department got to work. The shut down every nations news networks of Azuran and cut off communications of the Canuck fleet and their commanders, even the cameras were wiped out. They would pummel the outnumbered navy ships hard throughout the night. The rail guns in southern Aspiria also got in on the action but only if a military ship was isolated enough to get an accurate hit.

All Flazian colonies

The curfews and martial laws were suddenly in place in all the Flazian colonies on Azuran civilian movement was heavily restricted, no one was allowed to leave the colonies. This was all explained as necessary precautions and the only way to keep people safe. The reaction from people in the north was slow as they had to deal with St. Nick.

SPLASH!

"No! That missile was for our ship!" He sighed and sat back down, seeing a railgun shell capsize a destroyer next to him. They were targeting both civilian and military ships.

Or so it seemed.

The last broadcasts before the night bombardment had begun was an interview with Sheridan. Now they had no clue what was going on, nothing came in or out.

Hopefully, they will make it through the night.

Some the bullets scraped against his armor as he continued to run, surprised that the soldiers were able to shoot at him at this speed. Then he caught sight of the VTOL airship starting up their rotary cannons...

H: Shit.

He thought he was done for until a stray bullet pierced through the window of the airship, killing the pilot and crashing the VTOL...

Cpl. Stevens: Didn't think you were gonna start the party without me sir!

Haccket heard Stevens over the communications link inside his helmet and responded...

H: Alright, if you're done fucking around with your sniper rifle then plant the bomb at your location and jump ship! I'm about to plant mine right now.

S: Yes sir.

Haccket had just reached the spot indicated on his HUD and dropped the bomb, making sure the primer was linked to his suit's computer system. He didn't have much time as he heard more soldiers running in his direction and firing at him. If he didn't jump ship soon he'd have to activate the bomb before all of his men escaped the killzone...

"Your Imperial Highness, we have confirmed strikes on the enemy. Three of there ships hit, two going down." An officer shouts from a level of the command center up to the Crown Prince.

The Crown Prince looks down at the hologram table of Canuck ships, rail fire would not show up on the hologram besides the fact that they had been fired a few moments later, but the Prince was not about to wait for that. "Evasive maneuvers. Move into spinning wheel formation. Divert more power to the shields across the fleet."

"Yes, your Highness!" The entire command center spoke in unison.

The airship fleet began shifting out of the diamond formation to move into rolling wheel, a formation that kept all the ships moving in a circular movement. Those on the bend closest to the enemy would fire off their payloads, especially for AA purposes, as the ones on the farthest would fire long range railguns and missles. The main point of the movement was to make them harder to hit.

"Incoming!" A man in the command center yelled.

The Prince then called out, "Brace for impact!" To the entire fleet.

The Canuck rails hurled into the fleet. Due to the evasive maneuvers of the fleet many of the rails crashed into the ocean. Several ships took hits, but the magnetic shielding on the airships greatly reduced their impact and damage capability through the reduction of the velocity when they came in contact with the shield.

The Crown Prince watched as the command center chattered and reported damage to the hologram table. Mostly light damage to the fleet. The Battlecrusier itself took only two railgun hits, only lightly shaking the frame of the ship. A bright light though flashed from the next ship. The next milisecond a major shockwave shook the Battlecruiser. Looking out they see a destroyer next to the Battlecruiser having been struck in the aft. The rail having torn through the ship. The destroyer now burned from a large hole into his haul.

The destroyer was diverting its full power into its stabilizers trying to keep it afloat. "Your Majesty, the destroyer is going down. The damage was too great. Orders?"

"Evacuate it immediately. Abandon the ship. Set it to autopilot. Send it towards the Canucks." He quickly and harshly ordered. Concerned for the lives of the men onboard.

General Guo, who was stationed on the Fenghuang, stood near the Prince commenting, "These men have a trick of their own. That is a powerful gun they have. What shall we do about it?"

"Order the fleet to expand the wheel formation and return fire immediately. Give them a taste of their own medicine. Fire the ships heavy railgun on them in turn. Try to aim for the source of that railgun. I want that blown from the sky."

"Highness! Incoming missiles behind the railgun barrage." An attendant yelled out.

"Deal with it, laser and anti-missile missiles!" He fired off.

The fleet ships on the bend nearest the enemy began to take on the missile fire. Laser and gun turrets swiveled into position. Laser fire began and the turrets unleashed their hot lead at several hundred rounds a minute.

A second ship, a cruiser, was struck by a heavy rail. It ripped through a part of the lower belly of the ship, leaving a hole of bellowing smoke. Work was quickly on the way to stabilize the ship, but it could remain afloat.

Missiles fire came down onto the fleet, much of which was destroyed on approach or fell into the ocean. The magnetic shielding helped once again to lessen the effective damage by the missiles.

"Damage report?" The Prince ordered for.

"7 of 25 struck. Two serious. One falling. 32 dead from the falling destroyer. 13 dead from struck cruiser." Someone reported quickly.

"Then let's return fire and make them pay. These fools are new to airship warfare. Let's show them our mastery. Fire our main battery. Rear flank launch long range barrage. Launch jets and bring hell upon them. Keep us moving closer."

By his command the massive railgun on the deck of the Battlecruiser motioned into place and fired a its bolt, sending a violent shutter through the ship. The two cruisers along side battlecruiser fired their own large scale railguns as well into the direction of the Canuck fleet. The rear flank ships fired smaller sized railguns as well as several more Sheng super sonic and concussion missiles.

The hangers of the airships through the fleet came alive like swarming hornets nests with engines roaring. Jets, Chengdu J20s, flew from airship bellies into the air scrambling and coming into formation above the airships. When in formation the soared high and fast towards the Canucks. Each with their own payloads of missiles and bombs to drop on the Canuck ships.

The hit destroyer continued due course toward the Canuck fleet. The emergency escape pods having left it with the remaing. The ship was now under full autopilot, most its power diverted toward stabilizers and shield.

An communications officer walked towards the admiral of the southern combined fleet and handed him a letter.

"This is very good, their military will pull back and their civilians will go to former Russos. The governor wants all canuck threat gone from the south, but we will deal with the civilians later." the admiral said with relief. He was just happy that he didn't had to make casualties without any reason.

Now that the Canuck military thread is mainly gone the fleet could rest a little bit. Some ships returned to home, mainly smaller vessels.
But when the Azuran naval command heard about Sheng airships crashing down, the navy decided to send some ships to rescue the survivors of crashing ships from Sheng ships and Canuck ships. Sheng survivors will be treated and returned to their home, Canuck survivors will be treated to but will be made prisoners of war and will be returned to Canuckland after a peace threaty is signed.

Meanwhile in the north the blizzard rages on. Multiple deaths have been counted . The main roads are being cleared with tonnes of salt and is succeeding for now. The rescue forces are still able to pass but estimations tell that this won't last long and that the blizzard will grow in strenght.

The fleet and rail guns stopped the bombardment and did a casualty check. 3 ships were badly damaged and one was sunk, over 40 sailors died. The civilians that were taken into custody were allowed to cross the border into the former Russos colony.

The colonies of Pangea, Asparia, and Balot
The rumours of dissent have turned into protests and small scale rioting. In response to this wright came down hard on them, he sent the army in to deal with it in force. The tanks moved in and surrounded the protests, they aimed and after a moment of silence...they fired. At various points of impact broken bodies flew up and others were knocked down by the force of impact. After that it was bedlam and the crowd ran in all direction but the tanks kept firing.

Any forms of news or communication were quickly brought under government control. The internet was banned, newspapers burned and propaganda was the only thing that appeared on TV. Phone calls were monitored and so were suspects. Those who were confirmed enemies would be woken in the middle of the night, them and their families taken out into the streets where the neighbours could see and all would be shot. This sent out a clear signal that anyone caught acting against the government would have punishment dealt without mercy.

"Say that special forces have the green light" the general said in the control room in South Azuran.

Special forces started to infiltrate the Southern Canuck territory.
The teams consist of Strike team Alpha, Bravo and Charlie.

Strike team Alpha, are coming on land by sea, with a small submarine that is attached on a attack submarine.
This submarine has been stalkig the Canuck fleets and armies for weeks now. The special forces land in the very south of the lands.
They are still unnoticed they are armed with the latest technology and are currently in stealth. Multiple Canuck patrols walked just pass the special forces in hiding.
They will await further orders from main command.

Strike team bravo will be infiltrating into the Southern capital of Canuckland. The plan was to fly with transport helicopters armed protected by the very good stealth armor to the south of the capital, but for some reason their AA defences detected the aircraft and was shooting on it. trike team Bravo was forced to jump out with their wingsuits and land in a smaller town. Of the three transports one was shot down and another was badly damaged. The special forces only took one casualty and some minor wounds. They are now in hide in the north of that town awaitng further orders.

Strike team Charlie will come from the east of Canuck territory. They have been moving through the woods unnoticed. They are now also in hidding awaitng further orders.

The special forces are there in an atempt to gather valuable intel and cause much damage on their military there. The fleet is still blockading the Canuck territory.
They are now checking all cargo ships coming in the territory. They will allow some ships to pass, but all ships containing things that can be of value to the canucks military will be stopped and the goods will be taken. The ships are then send back. But ships containing food and things to let the civilians survive are mostly allowed to pass.
Not all are allowed to pass, only 50% so the people will still have hard times and maybe join our cause to get more food. The chances are very small that they will deflect, but the attempt will also weaken the Cancuk military there.

Alpha:
N° of men: 12
Support: None
Bravo:
N° of men: 16 (1 casualty)

Charlie:

Main support: Airstrikes, Direct reinforcements, Evac, Artillery fire, Air support.

Back in the north things are getting rough. The death toll is rising and the end of the blizzard is not even near. Many people are going to public buildings were the northern government has set up camps where you should be able to survive. It is warm there and the buildings are strong and will propably not colapse under the weight of the snow.
But to go there people have to go outside wich is very dangerous, leaving multiple deaths.

North Azuran Alahan colony, south Attbridge

Temp: -41°C
Snow amount: +-124 cm

The storm in Xinjia grows worse by the day. Although spared the wrath of a blizzard the colony is getting the brunt of a hurricane force storm. Rain, hail, wind and lightening dominate the colony now. Duchess Chen, the acting Governor General of Xinjia, called for the people to flee to high dry grounds away from the lowlands of the colony.

The amount of rain fall has proven too much for the Xinjia Flood system. The flood plains, designed to take on the overflow from canals and rivers, have overflown themselves and water surged towards Xinjia City, flooding downtown. Damage is great. Death toll is rising in Xinjia city. 230 dead thus far from the flash flood. What is pumped out or forced into the ocean is quickly replaced.

In northern Xinjia, the old Canuck capital renamed Yi Balei, has suffered terribly. Sitting on the mouth of the river, the city was already susceptible to possible flooding, but the break of a dam has flooded the entire city. The city and surrounding lowlands have been flooded out by dank brown water full of debris. Death toll in Yi Balei is currently at 673 and still rising as power is lost and floodwaters rise.

Colonial Army Forces and Emergency Response forces are working their best to save the people and combat the flooding around the colony.
