Refugee City [OOC, sign ups]

I've had this idea for a while, but until now I haven't had time to do anything about it. The setting goes like this: The newly elected liberal government in Orthella opens up a massive refugee camp for people around the world, escaping war and oppression. The camp is so large that it takes up most of the city it's located in, much to the displeasure of the local population. The problem is that it's located in a very conservative part of Orthella, so the refugees are met with hostility and prejudice. To add to that, there are tensions between the different refugee groups, so all in all, the life pretty much sucks for the refugees. To make the RP more interesting, I would like as much variety as possible in the different refugee groups. They can be from any tech level, from any universe and of any species, in fact, the weirder the better. thy can be from your NS nation, but that's not a requirement. Is anyone interested? If so, here's an application form:

Hmm, interesting. But what will happen? Is this going to erupt into a full scale war, or will this be like a character RP?

Depends a bit on how the participants choose to role play. It's definitely going to be focused on the groups, rather than the individuals, but I'm certainly not going to ban RPing individual characters (note that the minimum number of refugees is 1, so if you like, you can have a single character). As for a full scale war; it remains to be seen. There's definitely going to be a lot of conflict but it's uncertain to what degree that will escalate.

but the war got very bad. so bad that it ended up taking the life of his wife and children that was when he chose to head to this refugee camp he had been hearing about.

during his ride to the camp bert was named the "leader" of the refugees because of his skills and kind heart every one felt that they could count on him

Cultural Notes: Centuries ago, the quarians buit mechanic servants, called the Geth. The virtual intelligence of these servants was so advanced that eventually the Geth drove their creators away from their homeword. Since then, the Quarians lived on massive spaceships. Spending centuries in isolation, the Quarian immune system has become so weak that today's Quarians are forced to wear protective suits to keep them from contracting diseases. This particular band of Quarians gave up on waiting to see their homeland again and decided to seek a new home.

Leader's bio: Due to her radical views, she was always considered somewhat of a black sheep in Quarian society. While the other Admirals withheld a strict policy of safety first, she advocated a fullscale attack to take back the Quarian homeworld. Finally fed up with waiting, she left, taking her ship and crew with her.

He will return there in a few months once the refugees are settled in.
Leader's bio (Chaya): Chaya's family used to run a large ship-breaking yard on the Coast, and were among the few bosses who actually treated their shipbreakers well. However, due to a burst of new fighting, Chaya's family was forced to flee, along with many others from the shipbreaking town they lived in, Black Rust Beach. They comprise nearly all of the refugees.
Leader's bio (Catalina and Ahmad): Catalina and Ahmad are both shipbreakers from Black Rust Beach who have been elected as some of the group's leaders, along with Chaya.
