Large protests have been held since the recent merging of the Gaianst Party and the Social Democratic Party, creating the Green Left Party. The only other leftist party is the New Communist party. Center-left citizens are furious, as their only options are now an eco-socialist party and a communist party. Many joined the Liberal Party, a center-right and socially liberal party. It is theorized that soon it will no longer be center-right, but centrist or center-left.
