Commercial District, Eminral City
The Commercial District is one of the busiest streets of Eminral. Big television screens are one of the most attractive place for students. They often stop here just to see what is the latest technology available. A group of 4 students suddenly passed by the district. "Hey, look at that, I never saw that before" pointed out Mark. "Its already been out for a month, you know" Jay teases him. "Guys, how about we stop at the gaming shop first?" suggested Dan. "Well, we still have class, right?" Mark said. "Nah, screw--" the big television screens suddenly turned off and the Commercial District descends to silence. "What is going on?" Dan asks, worried. The boys look around the District. Other shops seems to have electricity up and running. Suddenly, the televisions went right back up, but they only saw the seal of the Federal Police. A recorded message suddenly played "This is the Eminrallian Emergency Broadcast System. We are sorry to interrupt your daily broadcast. The President shall deliver the message about the emergency situation in Valliere today" the recording played 3 times before stopping.
Blanc City Hall
After the attacks on Eminral, President Stephen Blair ordered the Presidential Media team to immediately assemble to the Blanc City Hall, the nearest office for him to deliver the speech. "Damn it, of all times" President Blair sighed. An assistant of him approached the president "Sir, this is your script I believe. It contains information about the incidents". President Blair reviewed the script "Pretty good, I'm just going to add some things" he said. "Mr. President, we are ready". Blair took his chair and faces the camera. "3...2...1..go"
"My fellow Eminrallian citizens. At this hour, I am sorry to inform you of this grave news. During the past 2 hours, while our country is hosting the Peace Talks for the GKE crisis, an attempt have been made against the Korean Emperor. The convoy have been attacked at Bernings Street, 6 kilometers away from the airport. The suspects have been identified as Korean speakers, but their identity are still unknown. 6 of our men died in their duty of protecting the foreign representatives and suppressing the attack against our peace.
Not too long after that, a huge unidentified explosion happened in Hotel 6 in Blanc, Valliere. The explosion made the building collapsed immediately. The first responders did what they could to help rescue the victims. As of now, over 300 people are dead and several more are injured. According to the Federal Police, the numbers will keep on rising for the next 3 days or so. Immediately when I heard about the hotel blast, I have ordered the Federal Police, the National Guards and the Eminrallian Reserves to respond to the situation. Valliere Governor Scott Morris immediately ordered that the full force of the Blanc City Police force, as well as the first response force of the surrounding towns to respond to the situation.
Because of the following events, I have consulted several of my advisers and Prime Minister about the actions I can take. I also sought the guidance of God. After much thinking, I decided to exercise my constitutional powers as the President. As of this moment, I place the Province of Valliere on the state of martial law. All police force of the Province, including paramedics and fire response force shall be under the control of the Emergency Response Team. I also ordered the Federal Police and the Eminrallian Forces to join the rest of the provincial forces in forming the Emergency Response Team.
As a nation, I urge every sing one of you to pray for the souls of the deceased, for the recovery of the injured and for the immediate recovery of the city from this tragedy. As your President, I assure you that those who are responsible for this attacks and the organization behind this attack will be destroyed. In our darkest hours let us show to them why, after all the years of crisis and unstability, we are still standing as a nation. Despite all odds and doubts, we believed in one thing, the survival of the republic and its values. This is what makes us who we are. God Bless the Federation of Eminral Republic"
Eminral Armed Forces, Sakagawa, Valliere
After the investigation, the cyber unit of the EAF immediately researched the evidences and the profile of the suspects who are responsible for the attacks. The Airport Authority provided information about them. After hours of investigation, the EAF said that the 2 assassins were from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, accompanied by 2 other men, possibly the men behind the hotel blast. They traveled through China. For some reason, the explosives were not detected at the airports.
They immediately sent the intelligence reports to the President of Eminral and determined any possible action. The President ordered to send a message to North Korea, explaining the report. Failure to comply will result to more actions. Meanwhile, after the intel leaked, more anti-China protests were held all across Eminral. They blamed the Chinese that the suspects were able to slip to Eminral, despite travel bans placed by Eminral against North Korea. Anti-China sentiment ramp up last week, when the Chinese navy opened fired to Eminrallian ships inside Philippine waters. Since then, Eminrallian navy responded with hostile attacks against Chinese navy.
No response have yet been made by North Korea or China about the letters sent by Eminral.
