Neo-Edo, Mugen Tengoku
Supreme Shogun's Quarters, Bakufu

The Supreme Shogun had been sticking himself to bother studying a little about Symphonia and its Asian Federation of Nations, more than what he already knew. When he finally decided he knew just enough of the "basics", his secretary came in with a list of commanders for the attack on Korea. Just as he thought, the most of the Busougun's commanders would have ardently joined a war to fight a claimed victor against Japan.

  • Supreme Shogun Fujiwara Isasu
  • Shogun Sakahara Shinji
  • Shogun Li Yamada
  • General-Admiral Edward Sutherlance
  • Taishou Ken Nakano
  • General Murakami Anakin
  • General Aaron Lee
  • General Thampton Timeleaper
  • General Hachiuma Fukao
  • Major General Murakami Hisoka
  • Colonel Egami Haro
  • Major Trần Vũ Trọng Tài
  • Major Haisan Shousa

He recounted and tried to remember each of them. They all were part of at least one victory. Excluding himself, the Supreme Shogun trusted these people - together, they'd restore the tainted honor of Dai Nippon.

And the occasion was near, as the 48 hours given to Korea was running dry...

Genevira Palace, West Genevira
Hitachi Province, Symphonia Propera

The imperial celebration was well underway in the federal capital of West Genevira, as various aristocratic and senatorial couples waltzed to the symphony-orchestra. Food and drinks were plentiful, and the Empress saw to it that the party-goers were given the highest amounts of luxury that Genevira Palace could afford. In the meantime however, the Empress and the Privy Council continued their debate on the situation in Korea. Japanese presence in the region was about to skyrocket as the deadline was about the end, and Symphonian forces stationed in Fukuoka and Nagasaki were soon going to need a lot more help than their current numbers held.

The old enemy was coming back for unfinished business with the AFN, despite the fact that Dai Nippon was still technically part of the organization following the Great Asian War. Symphonia had a claim on Japanese territory on a historical basis, and the Empire's more conservative politicians were jumping on the recent legislative bandwagon for a supposed reconquest of Japan. Empress Seondeok knew that was an improbability. Decades of gradual erosion of Symphonian influence had left the AFN with very little in regards to international standing, and the collapse of Reformed Britannia and the Kiramashi-Britannia branch of the imperial family left Symphonia without any large connections to superpowers of the world.

Regardless, everything was now dependent on Korea's response to the imminent Japanese threat.

The GKE now gives the right to Symphonia to position up to 20% of their troops in GKE territory. In return the GKE will become an ally to the Empire of Symphonia. However the GKE plans to have peace talks and until they fail Symphonia will have to wait. Until then I hope to hear from you again.

"Mr. President, the Government of GKE asks Eminral to hold a peace conference in our country" the Foreign Relations Officer reported. The President, seeing that the situation have piped down, agreed with it "Well, I suppose there's no harm in it. Please tell them we shall accept". The Officer pulls out a notebook and asks "Sir, where would the venue be?". The President answered "Blanc, Vallière. Just let them set the date". The Officer exits the room and delivers the message:

Neo-Edo, Mugen Tengoku
Supreme Shogun's Quarters, Bakufu

It was only 30 minutes to war by Fujiwara's orders when he received a notice of the Korean response. The new Emperor, Lee Hyunsuk, was calling for peace. Intelligence from the Taiheiyou Keisatsu-dan suggested this man saw his family killed by Korean fascists, so the upper echelon of the Tengoku certainly sympathized with him more than his predecessor Sejo; but there was no mention of what he was actually made of; other than the confirmation from the Symphonians that he let Korea joined the Asian Federation of Nations. He drew a heavy sigh, and thought to himself: "Nevertheless, if we could make his Korea a better nation, then it would still be better off than a lengthy war - I desire another one". Only the peace talks could tell if Lee was a man of peace.

It was official, the Tengoku would send its delegates to Eminral (as said by the Koreans).

OFFICIAL COMMUNIQUE FROM THE MUGEN TENGOKU

From: The Shogunate of the Mugen Tengoku

ENCRYPTION: EXTREMELY HIGH

To Emperor Lee Hyunsuk of Korea,

We have noticed your plight(s) and your goodwill favoring peace and reasoning. Thus, we will send our own delegacy to Eminral for the peace talks. But remember, if you decide to do anything funny to ou delegacy, it'd mark the end of both you and the fascists.

Do mark our words. We hope the talks would go well, and peace finally returned to the region once more.

Sincerely and Regards,
Shogunate of the Mugen Tengoku

Blanc, Vallière

The airport nearby the city is being prepared for incoming diplomats. The gates have been cleared of any planes, although there is one parked in the end, which belongs to the President. President Stephen Blair are also at the city. Attendants are also present at the area to organize the staff and direct the drivers of where to go. The venue shall be at Vallière Provincial Legislature, picture here:

The Blanc City Police, accompanied by some members of the Federal Police, are also present at the venue. There is no clear instructions on how the meeting will go. It is not even clear if Eminral will participate with the talks or not. President Blair is inside the airport, waiting for the guests to arrive.

The Imperial Plane landed onto the airfield before slowly coming to a halt. Out walked sixteen year old Emperor Lee Hyunsik of the Great Korean Empire. With him were three Korean Imperial Guards. He sighed and said "So this is the NER? Not a bad place to visit every now and then". With that he is instructed to walk into the airport which he does closely followed by the KIGs.

Imperial Intelligence Strike Team Gamma
Outside Blanc City

Chaya Suvbakthit brushes past a bush and into the small clearing. "No one followed. We're clear."
Jairawn Daileki nods curtly and looks at the three other spies in the clearing. They are some of the agency's finest, skilled operatives with many missions under their belt. "Shen, the remote is ready?"
"Yes. Missile is armed and ready to fire."
"Right then. Let's leave while we can, khap?"
The five spies quietly emerge from the bushes into an empty parking lot. Not a single person or camera is in sight to observe them. They climb into a Toyota Avalon, and drive off.

Half a kilometer, in the small clearing, a single Luchadore-III hypersonic SAM sits in its tube, a small red LED indicating it is armed. A camera and a remote control sit next to it on a picnic table, as well as a laptop hooked up to a small satellite-dish like device.

The laptop shows a single bright spot, moving over a map of the area. If one went to that location, they would find Emperor Lee Hyunsik's plane, parked at the airport. As soon as it took off, the missile would fire, destroying it and killing everyone on board. If that didn't work, there was a backup plan...

He opened the door for the Emperor and his men. He signed the police escorts that they are ready to go. A minute later, they exited the airport complex It is expected that it will take 5 minutes more to reach the legislature.

Prime Minister Raymond Simon would be attending the Peace Conference in the nation of Nationalist Enmiral Republic, is speculated to arrive soon before the meeting is officially started. If he does not make the meeting in time, this could mean the deployment of the peace-keeping forces slated to arrive when the word is called may not see action until another war is called.

(OoC: Sorry for the late entrance and no real back story, and the fact this is short. I don't have too much to work with here.)

Blanc, Vallière

The time had come. The people from Eminral stated that the negotiations would take place in Blanc, Vallière - which was exactly where Supreme Shogun Fujiwara Isasu was heading.

He was arrived in Vallière using his personal helicopter, then continued to the predestined meeting point as quickly as possible. There, he met some representatives from a yet unknown side. He confidently (but not arrogantly) walked to them.

"Pardon me, am I late for the talks?", he asked, wondering whether he missed the starting of the most important part of reestablishing peace.

Blanc City
Random overpass

An old, battered-looking Honda drove slowly over the bridge, and pulled over, to the side. Several young men got out, looking down at the approaching procession of cars. There are two black cars, surrounded by police, approaching. The three converse briefly in Korean, then one goes to the trunk, opening it. He hands the other two what appear to be violin cases, and they go into the car and open them. The third one closes the trunk, and gets in the driver's seat.

Ten seconds later, the other two get out, holding Korean Army assault rifles and wearing bulletproof vests. They immediately train their guns on the two black cars, and open fire. The guns chatter away, spewing brass as they send their deadly payloads to bite deep into tires and windshields and gas tanks and bodies. The driver rolls his window down, for some reason, and hunches low. Then the reason for the window becomes apparent: he is holding a machine pistol, covering for the other two as they send streams of bullets into the convoy, blasting away at the two cars and any police officer who dares to return fire.

Jairawn appears to be relaxing by his room's private pool, Chaya sitting on his lap. Shen is staring intently at his computer screen, flicking through news sites. Jairawn suddenly stiffens, and Chaya looks up sleepily at him. "What now?"
Shen looks grim, pointing at his computer. "It's starting."
Jairawn nods, and Chaya stands immediately. "How'd you know?"
"I left my COMtacts in."
"Oh."
Shen taps his screen. "We need to be monitoring this. They won't make it out, but they don't know we're here and they don't know who Taku and Kanya are, so we're clear on that front. Chaya, did you rig their vests?"
Chaya nods. "Poor fellows. You know the synthetic foam they use in bulletproof vests and warm parkas?"
Shen raises an eyebrow, and Jairawn rolls his eyes. "You shoulda just stuffed in a couple blocks."
Chaya shrugs at him. "I put in some of that new AccelFoam that we've started using as well as some of the bulletproof stuff. There won't be much left of that Civic." She tosses a device that looks like a TV remote. "Tell me when."
