We will be declaring war on your nation in 24 hours, unless you agree to the following terms:
-GKE improves freedom of speech
-GKE begins demilitarization
-GKE prepares 2 year plan to give at least 95% of its colonies autonomy
If these are met, we will assist the GKE. If not, we will invade the Great Korean Empire, and will not support the fascists, although they will be a political party in the new constitution prepared for an occupied GKE.
I STILL need a new signature.

The Kaiser and the Volkskammer, decide to- without the Emperor's approval, send in some Korean Prussians working for the Die Volks-Geheimdienst, (basically the spy organization for Prussia) to coup the Koreans into a Communist State, while the German Prussians working for the DVG would be secretly sent to Fascist-owned territory, to get rid of commanders, trick Fascist Soldiers, and to also let the door in for the Korean Prussians to convert the Fascists to Socialism and Communism.

Neo-Edo, Mugen Tengoku
Core Office, Tower of Gollide, Ten-on Citadel

Worries started to get its hold on the 17-year-old Heavenly Sovereign, as the Tengoku had only recently emerged (pyrrhic) victor of multiple simultaneous wars. Not to mention, He was not just the military leader, He was required for the Tengoku's political machinery to work. Going along with many important tasks, ever since His coronation sometime around 3 years ago, wasn't an easy task.

It became especially difficult when He had another nearby imperial power in the East Asian region to contend with - President-Empress SeonDeok vi Kiramashi and her "Asian Federation of Nations" - with the United Kingdom of Symphonia at the Federation's center. Unsurprisingly, both the Federation and the Tengoku went on the same trends: admitting nations into their respective Spheres of Influence, allying with those who they deemed worthy, improve their greatness with things in their favors, systematic subjugation through military power (if necessary), and most of all: both contended to seek and pose an unchallenged supremacy in their region - East Asia.

However, in regards with what was about to happen, they had different stories. From SeonDeok's perspective (as imagined by Tennou Taiwa), she seemed somewhat closer to the Korean kinds, and when she heard of the grandiose but soon-to-fall "Great" Korean "Empire" in trouble of fascist rebellion, she rushed to aid them. On the other hand, from Taiwa's perspective, He was facing Symphonia and Korea - both having acted aggressively and most unsatisfactorily towards his allies - respectively the many Japonic nations and Johto & Kanto. All was much more apparent that His Excellency would let His Shoguns and the Busougun participate in this once-in-a-lifetime clash, where the many enemies He'd marked out since His first day on the Golden Throne - Symphonia, Korea, Greater Terran Republic, Prussia and Unified States of North China - all suddenly dropped into the Korean Peninsula with their different goals, respectively: forcing the "Great" Korean "Empire" into the Federation, fuck the rebels up, establish puppet fascist state, establish puppet Trotskyist "state" and, then again, fuck the rebels up.

The memories of the wars that He brainstormed were as fresh as if they were still going on - the last time the Tengoku went "yandere" to protect its allies, and the last time the Busougun was on the Korean mainland.

"This wouldn't end well; but, nevertheless, it's necessary."

He would summon the Shogunate to discuss the problems.

Meeting Room, Bakufu

Soon enough, the Sovereign's confidential meeting was held within the walls of the Bakufu. When the Shoguns were all present, He turned to ask the Supreme Shogun - a little chat before going into topic.

"How's the Elven Imperium doing, Shogun?"

"Our intelligence suggested that the Steel Elves' Shogunate had either committed Seppuku or been subjugated - otherwise, not much is new; we'd send our forces there later."

"Then we should be focusing on things closer to home that might have more of an impact on our Homeland..."

"Hai, Heika."

The Tennou tapped on the table to get the other Shoguns' attention. He continued.

"Shoguns, you all probably remember Symphonia, from the Great Patriotic War of Japan - which ended in stalemate, and they claimed to be victorious?"

"Yes, Your Excellency."

"They're at it again. From now on, we'll have to watch out for their every single moves, as they've recently become more... aggressive, threatening, dangerous. Their plans? Immense power, of course."

The Shoguns nodded in agreement. Supreme Shogun, Fujiwara Isasu, picked off from where the Sovereign left:

"Then you've also heard of the... "Great" Korean "Empire"?"

The other Shoguns whispered, their expression seemed worrisome. They didn't want to remember about the nation with its English consonants read "G", "K" and "E".

"What do we want from THAT place?", said Shogun Sakahara Shinji - also recently returned from another war.

"Pacification, Obliteration and Annexation."

"Retaliatory move?"

"Most likely."

"..."

The room was quiet. Awkward, silent, even eerie moments like those had become too familiar to the emergency confidential meetings set by the Sovereign.

"Do we have the optimal number of commanding officers readied for this?", said the Tennou.

"Yes, Heika, our best and most active have been called back and regrouped for this event. The Pacific Police Forces is also readied, just in case. Also, Your Excellency, should we also do the same as the Kantoans?"

"... perhaps. OK then... anymore questions? No? Good - we set for Korean mainland, yet again, as soon as possible. As Shogun Fujiwara just said: send the Koreans an ultimatum."

ULTIMATUM OF THE BUSOUGUN
Image
Provisional Emblem of the Mugen Tengoku

From: The Shogunate of the Mugen Tengoku
To: "Emperor" Sejo, "Great" Korean "Empire"
ENCRYPTION: EXTREMELY HIGH

To "Emperor" Sejo of the "Great" Korean "Empire",

For too long have we stood and observed as you seek to spread your barbaric influences to nearby nations by cowardly means. For too long have we watched as you used deception, betrayal, genocide, war-mongering, cowardice and arrogance as your prime methods to the fall of various lands of honorable peoples. FOR TOO LONG have we watched you committed insanely cruel UNPROVOKED attacks on our allies, specifically Johto and Kanto.

Evil begets evil - we will do the same to you. However, it can be stopped, if you, the "Emperor", would do just as follows:
- The full decolonization of ALL its colonies in a short period of time (no more than 2 years).
- Limits to be put on the Imperial Army capacity, for peacekeeping purposes only.
- More freedoms to be granted to Imperial Subjects.
- Military bases to be placed on Korean soil to guarantee no "mysterious" Korean activities would ensue.

We give you 48 hours for consideration. If you won't follow, then bloodshed is the way to go.

Sincerely and Regards,
Shogunate of the Mugen Tengoku

Another copy was also sent to the leaders of Johto & Kanto so they would know what was going on from the Tengoku's look into the matter, with a short side message attached: "This is our ratified ultimatum to "Emperor" Sejo of the "Great" Korean "Empire". We are wondering if you could halt your activities on your side (temporarily), and whether we could cooperate better with these incidents going on in Korea ~ Shogunate of the Mugen Tengoku."

As much as 5 thousand guerrilla forces are now also being prepared to be sent to the GKE. The plan is secret, so not even the GKE government can know about this plan. They are too launch a coup against the GKE, and too create a pro-Oceasia regime in the country. Oceasia still openly support the GKE, although still wary that some of Oceasia's Japonic allies will go against the GKE. The main force is now set to arrive at Pusan, while the guerrilla forces will arrive in Pyongyang, instead of Seoul. The reason for this is because there has been a change of plans for the forces that will be launching the coup against the GKE. Instead of directly creating a pro-Oceasia regime in the GKE, Oceasia will only launch a takeover in the Northern half of the GKE, split the country in two, gives the southern half too one other country. Oceasia, although being a warmongering state, has never back-stabbed an ally before, until now. Views of the war has been considered complex by Oceasian government. Firstly, Oceasia is allying with a communist state in this war, which is Prussia, while most likely won't ally with it's closest allies, like J&K. Still, the Oceasian government does think that J&K has a possibility not joining this war at all, being a friendly and seemingly neutral nation.

Central Alliance For World Order

As a member nation, The Great Korean Empire has access to all of the armed forces of the Alliance. GKE also has access to the Alliance Escrow Fund. GKE may use these at anytime provided GKE can return the amount used after the conflict is over. CAFWO reserves the right to step in and take over control of all Armed Forces, if GKE's demise is eminent, and such actions are warranted.

All other Member Nations are urged to keep a close eye on this conflict, and send as many supplies to GKE, that you can spare.

At the current time, it is CAFWO's position to not become involved, militarily speaking, however aid will be sent in the form of medical, monetary, and arms assistance. CAFWO will keep a close eye on this conflict, responding accordingly.

Thank You,
Esis Coa

Symphony, Latinium Province
Latinium Region, Symphonia Propera

“Your Excellency, we have an emergency transmission from the Far East Task Group from Fukuoka Base.”
“Oh, and what might Lord Shimurazaki be so interested as to send it through priority channels?”
“Sir, your must take this seriously. Lord Shimurazaki reports that HHI has rumours of an old enemy resurfacing to face us again.”

International Relations Vice Minister Han Li-an looked up disinterestedly. Besides from the normal amount of traffic between Symphonia and the outer portions of the Empire, military reports from the Office of Overseas Operations normally did not reach the Ministry of International Relations unless there was an absolute emergency. For Lord Shimurazaki, perhaps the most decorated military leader since the Seong-Kiramashi War, to send an emergency missive direct to the imperial capital rather than the federal capital was an anomaly.

“What upstart nation is challenging us now? In Korea or Ryukku?”
“The old enemy, Greater Evil Imperial Japanese Dystopia, reborn as the Shogunate of Mugen Tengoku.”

Han dropped his papers as he stood up in sheer shock. After what felt like decades since the Symphonian victory in the Battle of the West Coast, that empire had arose to face Symphonia once again. This time however, Symphonia was in no real position to face the Shogunate. Divided on two fronts, in Ryukku and Korea, Symphonian forces were engaging a list of enemies far larger than anything since the Castigonian Oil War against the Corporate Alliance. This reborn Empire of Japan was bound to have a list of allies far larger than isolationist Symphonia was bound to muster. If anything, were the Japanese were to attempt to once again invade Symphonia, Her Imperial Holiness’ Armed Forces would be unable to muster the forces needed to counter a multi-million man army.

Lord Shimurazaki was right, though. The reappearance of this old enemy was surprising enough and perhaps the Far East Task Force needed more than just the small amount of troops at its disposal. Far too little in fact.

“All right. I will inform Her Holiness immediately. Please call up an emergency meeting of the cabinet and legislative leaders.

......

Imperial Palace at Genevira, West Genevira
Hitachi Province, Symphonia Propera

The emergency meeting had an electric effect on the high officials of the central government. Korea and Ryukku were supposed to be minor military operations, and the memos sent out caused a dozen or more military and intelligence leaders scurrying for cover. East Asia was supposed to be a region where Symphonia and the newly created Asian Federation of Nations were supposed to be ascendant, and the reappearance of Dai Nippon was an event that shocked even the most well-informed of the upper echelons of government. An emergency meeting, convened in the Empress’ official conference area, had already begun, and already, the political factions of the central government were fighting for the control of the official response.

“Imperial Japan is an entity that we cannot afford to be hostile towards at the moment,” explained the Minister of Economics,” The last time we went to war with them, the Empire was invaded and the entirety of the West Coast came under attack. Damages exceeded over 2 trillion imperial kokus and trade took a nosedive was our merchant marine was devastated.”

“I have to respectfully disagree,” replied the IF Minister,” The reputations of the Empire, the United Kingdom, and the AFN are at stake. If we refuse to engage the Japanese in Korea, then Symphonia losses its position of power in East Asia and we might see the collapse of the AFN, as diminished as it is already. I propose that we draw in our political clout and begin operations to defend Korea and perhaps force it into the AFN.”

President-Empress SeonDeok vi Kiramashi-Reich looked over questioningly at General Shi Kai-ming. The Minister of Defense looked over as well, raising an eyebrow at the general as if expecting an answer. Shi looked around blankly before clearly his throat and getting the others to settle down.

“Ah yes, our military is at a state of readiness that allows us to fight a limited war. Our capacity still lies at approximately 23% because the operations in Ryukku are debilitating and Blahbania is frankly wasting itself on our superior forces. Once we have victory in Ryukku and we annex Senia and Korotomi Province into the AFN, the military capacity can be totally focused on Korea.”

The economics minister broke out in protest before he was quickly silenced by SeonDeok, who raised her hand as a gesture to speak.

“Gentlemen, I understand that this issue is most pressing,” she said gravely,” But I have not survived the destruction of the most of the Kiramashi Dynasty to shy away from a confrontation with one of the greatest and most dangerous enemies of the Empire.”

There was silence in the room as the implication of what the Empress said sank in. The Minister of Defence cleared his throat and prepared to deliver the response.

“Well then, Your Holiness,” he said,” Is there anything that you would like for us to do?”

“Tell Lord Shimurazaki that an additional 750,000 soldiers will be under control and they will be sent to Korea immediately. If these rumours of are true, I do not want the Japanese to have the better opening hand in this conflict. Prepare a missive to the Korean government offering them to join the AFN in which they will be guaranteed military support should war break out.”

“Yes, Your Holiness.”

Your Majesty,

Her Imperial Holiness, Empress SeonDeok vi Kiramashi-Reich is pleased to inform you that Korea has been invited the join the Asian Federation of Nations as a Partner State. Joining the AFN will give you the military and political backing of Symphonia and several other states that are part of the Federation. Her Imperial Holiness’ hopes that Your Majesty is willing to see the severity of the situation unfolding in your nation, with the combined threats from other nations and your internal fascist rebels.

The Empire already has units stationed in Fukuoka and Nagasaki, but we cannot act fast enough should a foreign power proceed to attack Korea proper. Furthermore, the small military force we have sent to defend your nation is too small as more nations become more interested in this debacle. I hope Your Majesty can quickly approve of our request to build bases in Seoul and Pusan and help facilitate our assistance to the Korean people.

GKE,

I am sending you 50,000 CAFWO M10's, produced by NUA's very own Sure-Fire Arms. I am also sending medical supplies/equipment, as well as 1000 trained medical staff. If you need anything else please let me know, and it will be sent to you. If you need the Alliance to intervene, you know what to do.

It is my Admirals suggestion to create a naval blockade and no-fly zone over your territories. Controlling the skies and waters is the key to success.

Again if you need anything, just let us know.

"My lady, public opinion is turning against the fascists. These deployments are simply too large, and as you said, war is not an option. We should extract our team now, and then pretend we never received the bodyguard acceptance message."
"I-" the Empress goes into a fit of coughing, delicate misty pearls of blood marking her lips. She wipes her mouth with a tissue and continues. "I agree. But we need to do something about Korea. They are becoming a major threat, with all this stability they have."
"That sounds like you want one last attack by our spies."
"We have a submarine waiting for them, yes? They can steal a plane and ditch it, and then the Yuanjai can pick them up and submerge. They'd be in international waters, and no one would find the sub. Yinjin hunter-killers are some of the quietest submarines in the world."
"Commence with the attack, then?"
"Absolutely. Sejo won't be around to grieve for his son for very long."

Seoul, Korea
8:47 in the evening

Taku and Kanya waited in the noisy metal elevator. After what seemed like an eternity, they walked out from its sliding metal doors and powerful odor of cigarettes and urine into a rather dirty, poorly-lit hallway. Kanya walked in front of Taku. "33, 34, 35, 37...wait, what?" She kept walking. "38, 39, 40, 41. Taku, here."
She tried to open the door, but then looked down at the keypad lock that protruded from the wall, almost looking like a beam of chunk of insulation. "Ah. Of course." After a moment of looking at a note she held in her hand, Kanya laughed. "Of course." She tapped in a combination, and the door clicked open. The two spies walked into an extremely luxurious apartment. A man looked over at them. "Ah! Taku, Kanya, can I get your coats for you?"
Taku smiles. "Thanks, Bunta. Is everyone here?"
The man called Bunta takes their coats, hanging them on a coat hook fashioned out of silver like a dragon's head. "We're still waiting on Faisal and Esperanza, but they called me and said they were about five minutes away."
"Good! You heard about the bombings in Pusan?"
"I did, and I have my, uh, suspicions about them," Bunta says, leading them into an ornate dining room. A long, white-tableclothed table stretches out almost the length of the room, and about two dozen people were seated at it, eating dinner. Everyone waves to Kanya and Taku and starts chatting. Taku only really hears snippets of it: "nice to see you!"
"-Yanyu couldn't make it, she's bringing some cruise missiles in to the reb..."
"Did you hear Jaidee got Suk-bin?"
"Nice work in Pusan-"
"Might be pulled if..."
"-who really knows?"
"-you'll need a tactical nu..."
Several new arrivals come in, smiling and talking with Bunta and a few others.
"Faisal! Anza! Nice job up in Pyongyang!"
"Yanyu is in Ch....cruise..."
"Jaidee got...Bin!"
"Kanya and Taku....Pusan!"
"Really? Congratu..."
Bunta stands up, and everyone falls silent. "As many of you know, Command has been having concerns about the operational viability of our mission. However, I have just forwarded them some information that will quite certainly change their minds. Either way, we have been ordered to commence Stage 3. The submarine HMS Yuanjai is waiting offshore in case our operational function is compromised. We still have a considerable amount of Stage 1 to complete as well."

Three hours later.....

Taku walks out with a sigh. How the hell are we going to contact the rebels?

From: The Armed Republic of Falls Empire, message from the Supreme Premier
Issue: Your Rise of Power
How dare the world try to create a new Fascist regime? As seen in Italy, it is a failed creation, which did nothing but support the loss of economy to tyrants and loss of lives for such leaders burning in Hell. I will not try to stop you, as it is not the place of the Armed Republic to start a war unless provoked, but we ask that you change your cause toward a different goal of government for your peoples or, if your government does use the ideas of fascism, to be smart on everything you do rather than fall apart as so many others have. We ask you do not take this as a threat, more as a warning for your future. Acting as a Fascist dictorial state will rip your nation apart unless you're wise about it.

The Prussians, tired of following the emperor's orders, decide to send 1 Million of the VSS to finally get rid of the fascists, but soon, the Prussians WILL have to fight against the GKE for back-stabbing them. For that, the Prussians, will keep the 1 Million VSS in Fascist Territory, and send the rest of the VSS- 2 314 631 of them, and 3 771 946 of the regular Prussian Army: The MSI. While attacking the GKE, the Prussians will also send 200 000 of the MSI to help the Eminral Republic and J&K.

We might be split apart by 2 different ideologies, but we should all help Johto and Kanto to attack the Greater Korean Empire. When Johto and Kanto attack the Greater Korean Empire, I will order in 200 000 soldiers to help your troops, while I have 2 314 631 of my troops ready to assault, and have 1 Million of them attacking fascist territory.

Ryu vi Shimurazaki sighed in annoyance. News from the Office of Military Intelligence regarding the situation in Korea was starting to become worse and worse. Johto and Kanto, a nation far larger than Symphonia, had entered the conflict opposing the GKE based on previous GKE abuses in human rights. With the imperial government in Symphony now accelerating the time table for the date in which the GKE would be forced into the Asian Federation, there was little he could do except prepare for an invasion of Korea at the same as the J&K forces would arrive. Hopefully, in the diplomatic chaos that resulted, the AFN could chew off a portion out of Korea as to become a model colony for the Empire.

Nearly another 750,000 soldiers were arriving from Symphonia Propera, along with many, many military goods and hardware needed to begin an invasion of Korea if necessary. If Symphonia could not fight against the tide, perhaps it could take a favorable piece for itself.

OOC: All WMDs are now allowed to be used.

Lee Hyunsik had found that has father was dead. It seemed that the man couldn't stand the death of his beloved wife at the hand of the fascists. A few hours later he was crowned as the new Emperor of the Great Korean Empire. A estimate had said that they had killed around one thousand fascists however a lot of them were remaining. The funds given to him by the Central Alliance For World Order would help greatly should he use them. Meanwhile the GKE has declared that all foreign powers expect for the NER, Symphonia, and members of the CAFWO leave at once or face a united Korean military might. However steps are in motion to improve freedom of speech. The order was also given to prepare for war as barbed wire, artillery and machine gun bunkers, landmines, naval mines, pill boxes, ZEUS systems, AA systems, and anti-tank guns were prepared in a massive defense system along with bomb shelters and trenches. Propaganda was issued meanwhile guerilla warfare tactics were prepared as well since the GKE had given its citizens firearms in case of a invasion to resist enemy forces. They had also seized a cruise missile from a unknown source which is being researched by the KIA and the missiles are believed to be manufactured in Senkaku which is troubling...

The GKE will not accept help from other foreign nations due to intelligence which states that supposed allies are actually back-stabbing us. However your attempt to is appreciated and we thank you for that. We hope that the relations between our nations however remains stable for man decades to come.

The Prussians, decide to send in all spies of the DVG that knew Korean to be sent to the GKE, to coup the GKE into a Socialist State, with a local "People's Chamber". The 100 Prussians in GKE leave, and the Prussians also start mobilizing against the GKE in secrecy.
