"Sir, a new message from a foreign forces" he said. It took the Commander 2 minutes to reply, "From what country?" he asked. "Vaastavikus, they would deploy naval and air support for their fleet for our support" he replied. The Commander never replied back. He relayed the message to the Central Pacific Command.

Taku yawns as he reads the Imperial press release. The Empress was, thankfully, being smart. He leans back in his chair. He's on a train to Seoul, and wishing he could have made contact with the rebel sect around Pusan so he could hand off some heavy weapons he's had for over a month that have been looked over by government officials several times now at the warehouse back there, or maybe some of the mining and manufacturing equipment, which would allow the rebels to produce some unguided rockets, ammunition, and light vehicles for themselves. The bomb attack was impressive, but Taku and Kanya agreed: they were effectively on a terror mission now, and the attack had the added effect of making it very unlikely they would be able to contact the rebels. Their first strike simply hadn't been big enough. In Seoul, they'd have far more help from other agents, and they'd have higher profile targets.

The next strike would completely stun Korea.

North Chinese forces cross the Yalu river into Korea. 4,500,000 men, almost 5 times the size of the original force. A push into North Korea, stopping at Kusong Si and Nyong Bin, before stopping and creating a camp, would be one of the long steps in the march to Seoul. A North Chinese Naval Force, one of the largest assembled by the North Chinese government, was to sail to counter the Grand Terran forces. It consists of 153 ships, 10 of them are superships, and 29 aircraft carriers were sent there. More reinforcements from Mongolia and Japan were expected to arrive down south.

The meeting of the imperial privy council had gone off wrong, the council had broken up amid arguments over new imperial policy of bringing member-states into the Asian Federation of Nations, with the UK at its core. Of course, the first objectives were to secure for Symphonia a well known presence among the East Asian nations before systematically bringing them one by one into the imperial fold. Any conflicts that would improve Symphonian imperial power through diplomacy, economics, and perhaps military conquest would be looked favorable upon by the Empress, and yet the Imperial Senate and the Imperial Cabinet was balking at the prospect of having to manage two wars at once.

However, with the Prime Minister fully agreeing with the Empress' "suggestions", there was literally no way for the opposition to stop Her Majesty's Will, as the ruling party was perhaps in control of over 60% of the government.

"Your Excellency, we have reports that events in Korea are getting worse," came a voice over the earpiece," Several nations seem hell-bent on establishing puppet states in Korea, namely the Terran Republic. Her Majesty is demanding an immediate meeting to address this situation."

The Vice Minister swore quietly. Her Imperial Holiness, Empress Seondeok vi Kiramashi-Riech, had perhaps either gone mad or forgotten history. The last time Symphonia went up against so many enemies was the Castigonian Oil War, in which imperial forces suffered heavy casualties and Symphonia came very close to invasion of unimaginable proportions. But maybe the Empress was onto something. This was Symphonia 200 years later. The Empire had crushed the invading forces of Greater Evil Imperial Japanese Dystopia, the Seong Shogunate, and they currently are close to winning victory in Ryukku.

“Very well,” he replied,” Tell Her Highness I will be in her office shortly.”

“Vice Minister, it is a pleasure to see you again after the debacle of this morning,” Empress Seondeok said softly as the man sat down,” You should rest assured that I have a plan for the situation in Korea.”

“Oh and what might that be?”

“A shock and awe strategy combined with punitive military force. The GKE is far too large for a small force like what we deployed in Ryukku, and adding to the effect that we will possibly be facing several nations at once as well as a tenacious rebel cell. Holding Seoul and perhaps the port at Incheon should directly allow us to protect the Korean government and force them into the AFN.”

“Oh, and does Your Imperial Holiness have a decision on how to announce her opening move?” inquired the minister,” I don’t really see the point of subtlety by this….period in time.”

The Empress smiled gently, a smile that didn’t really reach her eyes, and the pupils noticeably shrank in size. The Vice Minister was taken back for a second, truly wondering if the President-Empress had really lost her mind. Perhaps in her advancing years and the wars that raged during her lifetime, the poor woman had finally broken from the strain….

“No, no. If Symphonia is to enter the world stage as a nation of immense power, we must be prepared to act that way. The GKE represents the first among many small nations in which our power should be quickly revealed. This is only the start of a long process of imperial expansion."

The Commander of the Far East Task Force, Marquis Ryu vi Shimurazaki, had quite the job to deal with in the GKE. Fascist rebels flowing through the countryside, and the Emperor of Korea not being able to leave his own palace, Her Majesty's Armed Forces were going to have to deal with a lot of issues before proper order was going to be able to be enforced. Fortunately, with North Chinese support, allied command could quickly secure the country in the typical north-south fashion.

Current Known Situation in Korea

The Seorabeol Squadron, named after the old Silla's capital, would be sent to Pusan to intercept any foreign navies that would attempt to enter Korean waters. Acting as a support force to Korea's own navy, any foreign force could be quickly neutralized. In addition, Army units would land in Incheon and proceed to set up a base on the outskirts of Seoul before clearing up the city and securing it.

For now however, communication was vital for the allied forces. From his current position from outside of Pusan, Ryu quickly sent a message to the Korean military command.
