The Story
The Federated States of California and the Federal Republic of San Cristobel do not get along. Their history is marred with periods of tension and periods of war. Their governments are not the best of friends despite that tens of thousands of their citizens share one another's ancestry and familial ties. For thirty five years California and San Cristobel have been preparing for what has come to be known as the Inevitable Fourth, or the Fourth Californian-Cristobellan War, in the offset of this they have likewise been pursuing a lasting peaceful relationship between their two nations. This lasting peace was accomplished in large part on June 3rd, 2018 in the form of the Treaty of San Paro signed by both President Julia Sanchez of California and President Águeda Molina of San Cristobel. At long last did it seem like the possibility of peace and prosperity between California and San Cristobel seem like a possibility.
The Inevitable Fourth however; has come. at 04:30 Hours on June 4th, 2018, the helicopter carrying President Julia Sanchez was shot down in Amazonas, San Cristobel. All contact with the President has been lost as of that time and she is missing, presumed dead until proven otherwise. Californian and Cristobellan Forces who have for thirty five years been preparing for the Inevitable Fourth now find it thrust upon them as this deliberate attempt on the Californian President's life is a direct act of war, answered with the advance of Californian troops and assets that have been on standby for years while the FSC goes to its highest state of readiness since the Great War while in the shadows both sides are being played against one another without their knowledge, and the presence and existence of the Democratic League brings about the very real possibility of a second Great War.
The Rules
The Ending to this Story has been Pre-Planned.
The scope of this RP is limited to California, San Cristobel and their respective allies.
While the Democratic League has been requested to step aside as San Cristobel has done this to themselves (so it appears), should the Democratic League involve itself, it shall be considered as a total agreement of belligerency by all Democratic League Parties until such a time that they declare themselves otherwise; their embassies will be seized and their assets in California or occupying her waters will be confiscated for the duration of the conflict and their merchant marine and military shipping considered to be fair game for military strikes.
Nuclear Weapons have been agreed upon to be deployed on a tactical level by both myself and San Cristobel against military targets of tactical and strategic importance; civilian centers will be conventionally struck but not nuked.
All DL-armies are to be limited to 10-20,000 men, due to the fact that the main combatants of this war are to be California and San Cristobel.
The transcontinental nation-wide airstrikes that Eslovakia likes so much are forbidden and will result in the use of strategic nuclear weapons on the offender by fiat.
