You mean plasteel armor? Sure, you can have that. It might balance it out a little more... you're still going to be at a distinct range disadvantage, though. That would work, I guess, but then you might as well just upgrade your plasma weapons in that sense.

Don't worry, nothing will be so different that a retcon will be in place. I've not taken too large a part in the RPs going on right now.

As I said, it's a bit late to be just asking "Hey, I'm tired of this, can I change what I don't like even though it's 'just about everything' and we've already started RPing?" without doing something IC to explain the sudden switch over.

Yeah. I have a decent organized structure now. Check the bottom for the unit formations. So, thoughts on it? How is it? I still need to do fleet formations, etc.

Official ADMIN Ruling


1 Hex = 10,000 Star Systems

Of those 10,000 Star Systems there are 100 Systems that contain a number of habitable planets within orbit. The number of habitable planets at a minimum is 1 and a max of three per system. To control a system you must colonize one of the planets through RP either open or closed, and provide enough detail in the RP to fill out a factsheet for the planet (See below for Blank sheet and example). If the Rp covers all of the factsheet requirement then the planet is colonized and you may officially increase your population by 1.5 Billion upon confirmation of a successful colonization- NOTE: Population of colony can rise to 3 billion if the colony is used as a place of concern in an open RP in which other nations can try an impede its growth. Once you colonize 5 systems and have no other competition within the Hex you will be considered to be in Full control of a Hex. Until you fully control the hex the map will reflect your PRESENCE in the Hex.

10,000 star systems? Holy mother of God. That is going to require a lot more patrol fleets now.

Edit: I have to go revamp my colonization post now. Check back on it in a few hours for more details.

Also, Hob, thoughts on when the influence map will come?

Don't worry - I haven't RPed a single event involving a H'rulka or my Home System/Planet, only scouting AIs and long-range outposts, things that I'm keeping in my changed nation. I'm just removing the H'rulka and messing around with the governmental/military hierarchy. I'll post the new app later once it's done.

I dont see a real issue with removing elements of your nation that have yet to be RPed to any extent. However, I do not want to set a precedent of allowing massive changes to nations without IC reasons given for documentation purposes.

That being said I dont see a real reason why an IC RP cant be made in which your A.I's wholesale slaughter the H'ulkra(SP) and establish a new state. There are ways around completely scrapping a people and starting from scratch. It would allow for the changes you wish to make to your nation, while also giving us something to read, and something for me to add to the Overall Story Arc on the first post.

Or like Arcturus said.. use the Ventorie... LOL

Okay. So have it as the last post. And then, use its elements within the thread. Scientists talking about the atmosphere, types of minerals; Generals talking about force deployments. That kind of thing, and just have it all at the end for you to read?

Glad to have that hashed out. But, I have a question:

Does the population immediately bump up by 1.5 billion after colonization through RP or does that have to build up over time in IC years?

My concern is this:

Because you're sending X amount of colonists to planet Y, X amount of people will no longer be on Z,A, or B planets, thus reducing that number of population by X amount of people. So while the population of each planet fluctuates to accommodate colonies, the population of that colony is not going to immediately start with 1.5 billion people living on it. Likewise, would we use the following formula to calculate growth on the colony or just pick numbers from our heads?:

For single habitable world construction

Star system generator.

I hope you guys utilize these and find them as useful as I do!

Terraforming exists for uninhabitable systems and you could crazy and plant pressurized dome-cities on top of barren planets.
