Also, Canuck, some pieces of advice for your Armored Corps:
1. Try and make a central chassis and build all the other armored vehicles (except any IFV's) on top of it. It'll save time in logistical issues and it'll make sure your engineers aren't overworked.
2. Never put two guns on a tank. It's never worked in the real world for a reason. Why are you putting two guns on a single tank unless you have the room, and if you have the room (which I seriously doubt), why don't you just put one, bigger gun on there that'll be able to penetrate more armor, and will take up less space with its ammo?
3. This is more from the artwork, but it's a huge pet peeve of mine: quad tracked tanks. Don't. You're asking for four times the more most common injuries which take tanks out of battle.
4. If you have tanks and IFV's, why do you have Mechs alongside them?
Arcerion wrote:@Canucklad That is a lot of tanks. The logistics of your army must be amazing, as having that many parts and resources to keep all those different vehicles running is scary. Definitely some cool vehicles in there though.
Wandering Argonians wrote:Canuck, I'd advise possibly rolling a lot of the functionality into a single vehicle chassis. From there, develop different turret configurations to suit the roles of Main Battle Tank, Tank Destroyer, Mobile Artillery, etc. Also, don't forget to include a tank recovery vehicle in there somewhere as well. Vehicles get stuck quite often, tanks included.
Having a standardized chassis would streamline the logistics portion of implementation, allowing your military to keep one set of standard tracks, hubs, engines, engine components, etc. It will also streamline the training of troops to drive these vehicles, since the controls would remain the same, at least in terms of steering and such.
Also, perhaps a single main battle tank would suffice?

Voldoviana wrote:Alright, posts are done. The Coalition, using a military primarily focused on maneuverability, makes great use of armored vehicles such as Tanks, IFVs, and APCs. The following two are the most common, but are by no means a complete and total list.
The M1-56 Testudo Main Battle Tank
The Testudo MBT is the most common armored vehicle that appears on the battlefield. It is armored with between 1 foot and six inches of adamantite armor with ceramite ERA strike pads, and is crewed by three people: a gunner, a radioman, and a driver. All are seated in the middle of the tank, operating the various machines that operate the different functions of the vehicle. It is armed with one M644 130mm Smoothbore Railgun (Which fires either Depleted Uranium SABOT rounds or HE rounds), one turret-mounted M155 Heavy Railgun, and two top-mounted servo-operated M155's.
The M2-63 Battleaxe Armored Personnel Carrier
The Battleaxe is in common use in the Army. Whenever the Army needs to put infantry somewhere, they don't risk those infantry using their own jumppacks and armor to propel them into gunfire, rather, they ride in the M2-63. It is armored with between .5 and 1.5 inches of adamantite armor, and has a crew of two- a driver and a gunner. It seats up to ten armored men (fifteen unarmored), and is armed with both a M45 Heavy Rail-Autocannon and a M155 Heavy Railgun.
