why not board ships? I don't think anyone sensible will want to have orks on their only planet right from the gate. Since, y'know, they're practically impossible to get rid of.

In a cooperative RP everyone's nation is a main character and main characters do not die, therefore every invasion will involve you getting stalemated or driven back, which is boring for both parties. Battles would have no meaning, diplomacy is out the window, and if they are some super powered threat at the last moment there will be some saving grace, just like Every Other Movie and Book Ever Made with a borg or zerg like threat. That doesn't sound fun to many and i doubt it would to very many people in a cooperative RP.

Points to keep in mind. If you want your not-Tyranids to actually be a credible threat it'll require a lot of cooperation with the other RPers to give you a fair amount of leeway on what you're allowed to get away with (and to what degree you're pushed back).

What you described will generally describe the Javakin better.
