All Coalition citizens who can afford it get cybernetics. Of course it's minor, like being able to see infrared, or bone strengthening, or life-lengthening procedures, and other such things, but nothing overly extreme. It's not banned, but it's taboo.

I'm borderline!

Also, how many habitable planets are we allowed in our home system?

So there are 14 actual Nation/States/Politcal entities and things that can be reasonably comprehended by something that is nominally similar to humans. And 4 inhuman states

Form what I understand as many as we want in our home System. in our hex made up of ten thousand stars its reasonable to assume at most 50% will have planets the other 50% will probably have at least comets, asteroids, or maybe have gone super nova. of that 50% with planets the vast majority will not be naturally inhabitable to any species however at least 10% will be habitable to something, whether or not those habitable planets can support your particular species is up to you.

In the Home Solar System of either of my races there is only one, Vold has multiple habitable planets in his home system I Think. How many is in your hex is up to you just remember there wouldn't and shouldn't be a habitable planet much less a planet in every system.

Meh. I feel roughly 50-100 is good enough.

Of which only a few are fully urbanized.

ok so you were talking what was in your hex rather than you actual home system. well 10,000 stars with 50% having actual planets is 5000, if only 10% of could have a habitable planet then that's 500, 100 to 200 are probably not either death worlds, still in their primordial state, or toxic to you.
Dont forget you have to post your actual colonization of those planets they are not instantly granted to you.

I am well aware. I was one of the first to move to a new hex, but since I am switching overall nation ideas that isn't necessarily going to happen.

I have three in my home system, plus ten colonies in another sector, as of right now. I guess that means I control two sectors...

I think I'll go with five, and four colonized planets.

Ive think Ive settled on a good reason for why the Ilium Neurocracy is so hostile towards other species and would continue do be hostile even if their "dictator" was taken out. since the Ilium thought process are nothing like humans and they have the ability to review and trade genetic information between each other easily, they gained a unique perspective on biodiversity and life in general. While they have no issue with strip mining uninhabitable planets right down to the core, When ever a sapient species starts operating on a habitable planet they see it as genocide of thousands of future and current species. So with that in mind that set out to stop the horrible monster that are destroying countless future lives, by snuffing out the sapient which are running the planet they are colonizing.

Funny, the Chosen operate in much the same way. Except for we exterminate almost all life of a sentient nature, because of their potential for deviancy and corruption.

The Ilium just see Sentient Beings as being malformities that are committing genocide on thousands of possible genetic strands every second they exist. and as such they believe it is their duty to wipe them out especially humans since humans are the worst offenders.

Just as long as it's not too OP and is RP'd well, sure.

Just make sure you realize, that means no diplomacy. Period.

Depends on how it does it and how experienced he however how he worded is question makes me think he doesn't have much experience, but that is just a gut feeling.

If I were him I choose something a little more familiar and easy to get into FT.

try going with a society of culture somewhat similar to how human work rather than complete alien like the computer network of nanites. I honestly suggest creating a human race that just got FTL and is entering the stars and just make of your own government and military as you go.

some good advice is to remember weapons in FT are pretty much just flavor and should be chosen on what fits with your race and how you think your people will want to wage a war. There is no real power or damage difference between weapons, there might be different effect but a laser is just as powerful as a rail gun or nuke, they are there for flavor nothing else.

Another good bit of advice is to remember that space is huge and in a 3d environment so try incorporating that into post.

one last bit advice is avoid War hammer 40k numbers and stick with being reasonable.

Make that five. The Unity is definiteky an "inhuman" state given its nature, but it's very much a neutral entity at the moment. So "insane" may be a stretch.

I have a question about your map claim scheme.

Since my FT nation is a multi-species alliance consisting of seven species, so how big is one hex? Does it consist of one star system, or can it contain multiple star systems?
