I've asked him to withdraw his application from NEAR after I offered him a spot on the acceptance council, because I'd prefer the members of the governing body of the FAR/whatever we'll call it to be clear or independent from the NEAR, since I don't want this group having anything to do with NEAR.

No, I didn't. I copied the application into a notepad once back when FAR II was really in the gutter, then I realized what I was doing, and slit my wrists as a punishment.

I don't think that anyone who wants to be a council member can be one. I'm talking accepting applications and taking on the responsibilities of an OP, not a council member ICly. There are other people lined up for the job that have other qualifications, too, such as Tantalus.

Eh, I think that the image used might be a bit too bright, particularly with the lines you've used.

I actually approached them. Its not just map making, he's been a loyal member to the FAR for a long time. He's a pretty skilled RPer. Both Oogium and Tantalus are suitable candidates.

Ah well. I'm making my nation idea pretty clear - mostly AI-populated and obsessed with maintaining the Republic though not objective to changes made to it legally. Generally know-it-all's and annoying to the point of being unpleasant but also a connecting and necessary force.

I think that the string of numbers running along the bottom should be moved to the top, might look better then.

Oogium, one sub-square will be able to hold three spheres of influence. There should be more than plenty room for everyone inside. My biggest qualm with the FAR II map was that it was too massive for realistic IC interaction to occur. By crowding together civilizations, we can hope that IC conflicts over depleting resources may occur.

The area you govern / hold strong presence over, Toi. You can roleplay having NPC alien neighbors nearby, but I won't add them to the map due to their transient nature (That is, if both of you lads conduct genocide quickly).
