Guys, I need some Co-OPs and ideas for a rather miniscule RP I want to put up. I have a few friends interested in playing NS, but they're pretty intimidated by the Forums. I just need an RP that'll take less than a week to change that. Maybe something menial like raiding a terrorist camp, or a small proxy war. Either way, I'd like some advice on this matter.

I don't think I've seen a giant monster roleplay before, so I encourage you to create that roleplay. Whether or not I'll participate is debatable, seeing as how I have a character or two who could take out a monster like that without much difficulty.

I have an idea, requiring someone who's willing to play as the USA. The synopsis is that a plane full of top wanted individuals flee to Crysuko, and the US vehemently demands their extradition accusing us of sheltering them, and later planting them in American society to begin with. Later, after a failed commando raid on a coastal facility where they are being housed designed to kill said individuals, we choose to escalate it. Anyone up for it?

I just thought up a bit of an idea for an international incident. How about rather than an actual war, how about a political/civil war that focuses on information and what public could consider to be truth. It's heavily based off of Orwell: Ignorance Is Strength, where the plot focuses on a mysterious organization with the ability to make fake news stories, if paid with a large sum of money. Both nations involved in the incident have become aware of the organization, after someone posts a news story that actually manages to affect reality itself.

I really like character heavy RP's in which each nation has a few main characters who interact with each other, focusing on drama and storytelling rather than listing how many soldiers and tanks are where.

I have lots of ideas, stories about spies, mercenaries, drug cartels and gangs, terrorism, etc. If anyone else likes character driven RP, hit me up. Me and other nations here wrote cool stuff back in the day.

I had a similar idea recently, in fact would it be okay if the giant monster was sent by some sort of Inter-dimensional overlord who wants to deceive and destroy the human race?

I have a bit of an idea for an experimental RP involved with dice rolling. How about a RP about skateboarding? Heavily based around the Tony Hawk and Skate Franchise, along with the story being based around Jet Set Radio and Green Day American Idiot, the RP basically revolves around your character wanting to be a legendary skateboarder, while the world around them starts to crumble. That's my shorted version of the plot, though I can write up a longer version.

So I'm here trying to check interest on a RP (to be started next year -- till then, I would be too taken up by irl demands as well as research for this RP -- should this come to pass -- and others) partly inspired by Harry Turtledove's "The Road Not Taken". Briefly:

The New Year 2019 brings with it not only the inauguration of a brand-new capital city for this nation (to be attended by unarmed delegates from various countries) and the elevation of one woman to the position of kami, but also two terrorist attacks (one by Homofront, the other by a party still to be determined, but must be ideologically opposed to Homofront's own) as well as an actual alien invasion... by a species using outmoded war tech and strategies (how outmoded I'll check in due course) but possessing valuable know-how for faster-than-light interstellar travel.

Of course the premise turns Turtledove's story on its head: what if an otherwise militarily backward alien species chances on our planet, only it lands on a pacifist nation that's technologically backward in most aspects, unlike, say, the United States? (The two terrorist groups can be viewed as two variants on a regurtitation of Turtledove's premise -- bearers of superior firearms who are not state agents, but instead act to liquidate Dahon's heads of state.)

That said, I'm still trying to develop the outline here -- trying to shoehorn an alien invasion sideline does make some conceptual headaches -- but it would be nice if I can get a few responses, even this early.
