Video is being showed of new aircraft, tanks, and marching soldiers. "In the past week, the Dominion of The Great Dark Empire, has gone under massed armament of over 30 new divisions, to add to the nations 45, along with new weapons being created at a high rate, that information is still not declassified." Videos of military drills and training now under way. "SO far no information has been given to why this massed armament is under way, other then a suspected invasion of the last free country on the continent known as Cristol. The main idea where this has come from, is that lasting rivalry between to the two nations, along with Great Dark Empire's leader, a creature known as Timothy has gotten military reports of Cristolian soldiers, shooting across the border." Broadcast ends.

Inside the Imperial Intelligence Agency (IIA)

The analyst sat bored and lazy at his desk. He had only five minutes until the end of his shift, and he could hear is cigarettes calling him. He looked over and saw the light on the monitor flashing. He debated whether he should check the update or not, after all, he was almost out. He sighed, and flipped a switch. A broadcast from The Great Dark Empire played itself before him. At once he sent it to his supervisor, who did the same. Soon it made it to the Director of Intelligence. In his office were his two deputy directors.

"Is this true? Can we confirm this?" he asked them. The Deputy Director of Reconnaissance answered first.

"Yes, our reconnaissance resources have confirmed this buildup. However, we have not yet confirmed that hostilities were started by Cristol. It may be a false claim to spur aggression and justify it in the eyes of the world." she said.

The Deputy Director of Special Operations spoke next.

"My department suggests that we contact both governments and that we maintain surveillance. We should also increase military readiness. Its possible that conflict could occur, and it may spread." he said.

The director nodded as he listened.

"All right, prepare communications." he said.

Imperial~Cristol Border
15th Kendris Division
Near Midnight

Jenen Malonas was a sergeant operating at the border. Several shots had been fired from the south, towards his potion, but he didn't know from exactly where, but the muzzle flashes he had seen came from the Cristolian side. "What the...." He said in the imperial language, as he said this a mortar shell landed, not thirty feet away. "We are under attack!" He yelled. He radio operator immediately called this in. Three people had been injured, and one fatality had occurred by the explosion. There were three machine gun nests at his position, and they all opened fire. Jenen got his assault rifle out and turned t to three round burst then returned fire across the border. The border was in chaos. Crsitolian soldiers had launched a surprise attack, and the Dark Empire was in shock, but the imperial soldiers, never surrendered and never gave up.


"We will fight to the bitter end!" the sergeant ordered firing his last magazine at the Cristolian soldiers. He ran out of bullets and equipped his bayonet, and was killed by a fully automatic weapon to his back.The border had been over run in under an hour.......

Inside the IIA

The Director and his two Deputy Directors sat in a Situation Room devoted to the increased armament and sudden conflict between the Great Dark Empire and Cristol. It had been confirmed that the GDE had increased armament and military size. It had also just been confirmed that Cristol forces had launched an attack across the border. Right now the IIA was trying to determine whether or not this attack was the work of a few disgruntled soldiers, some sort of power-grab politically within Cristol, a splinter group, or if it was an actual declaration of war with GDE. All attempts with communication with Cristol had not been responded too. The director sighed, and then turned to his computer. He began typing a draft that would be sent to the President, who would then go over it before sending it to the Great Dark Empire. When that one was completed he would write one more letter addressed to Cristol, and send it on up to the President.

Dear Esteemed Ruler(s) of The Great Dark Empire,

We are sorry to hear of the current state of affairs. Being attacked by a neighbor is no walk in the park. We wish you the best in your conflict, and are requesting any intelligence you have on Cristol, specifically and especially concerning the current conflict. This intelligence would be considered a blessing upon our Imperial Intelligence Agency (IIA). We need this information to help determine any cause and effect relationships, as well as to determine the justification that either side could use. Currently our intelligence reports that you are in the right, but we wish to be certain. We hope that we can soon come to your aid and help you defend your homeland. We hope you receive this correspondence soon, and anxiously await a reply.

Dear Esteemed Ruler(s) of Cristol,

We are issuing a cease and desist order. It has come to our attention that military action as been taken against The Great Dark Empire. We understand that this may be the work of a few disgruntled soldiers, possibly a splinter group or an over-excited officer. If this is the case we must urge you to put a stop to this at once, and punish those responsible. If this is some sort of power-grab or coup, then please alert both us and GDE. I'm sure we will be able to sort things out. If you do not cease and desist this act of aggression, then we will be forced to support GDE and will stop this act of aggression for you. We hope that this is simply an isolated accident and that you will soon be able to reign the situation under control. We wish godspeed to this message, and anxiously await a reply.
