The Grand War Peace talks

The Foreign Secretary waited nervously wondering what his guests would be like.He waited at the top table in the palaces great hall with the Emperors Personal guard dotted around the hall.Each nation had a table with three seats a glass of water for each and two rows of seats behind it with each nations name displayed clearly at the front of each table,the rival nations were sat opposite each other followed with the allies of each nation.

Ambassador Eamon Gilmore arrived early and ready to begin the peace process. He walks into the doors and shakes the hand of the foreign secretary. Taking the silent approach that he is known for he says only "Thank you for providing a neutral venue for negotiations."

[Pantorrum]

The president has authorized Speaker Chi to represent us. She will have with 180 Pantorrum troops that will escort her to the conference from the naval frigate "Adomant". The gaurds will remain at the port until the conference is over. They will escort her every day to the location of the conference. They will not step on the soil of the conference building. These measures are to insure that there is no hostage situation in an attempt to force Pantorrums compliance.
She will need no hotel. Captain Howser of the "Adomant" has a very nice room aboard the vessel. Thank you for the offer though.

General Franklin Omid of the 5th MEF, General Owen Grant of the Aznazian Airforce and Admiral Alexander DeLunio of the 3rd combined Fleet have landed in Crown Island. We are ready to begin talks. I would like to suggest to Crown Island that you should set up a speaking order so that the conversation doesn't continue if representatives are not present.

indeed. I came to a sudden realization. herein are liberals, my constitution states that i cannot associate with Liberals. Also, I am willing to pay for all the damage done. I will push back herein if it becomes necessary. I no longer want bases in herein, but instead i want 1 forward operations base in Lepton.

Admiral George Le Clerc was obviously not present in the peace talks, however the Admiral got a secure link to the meeting on board his ship through a video channel and the face of the Admiral appeared on a view screen behind the assembly table his command chair was moved to an angle where nobody could see what was going on behind him. He was ready to talk while directing his fleet who said men can't multitask?

I believe that something, however, must be done about Zernin. They pose a great threat to this meeting. They fired nuclear weapons at me and everyone else. he stated peace talks take to long. he must be condemned. His false statements struck fear into my people.

The Foreign Secretary took his seat.
"Could we have the right honorable Delegate from Pantorrum to speak first please"

"Sorry about that didn't mean to be rude." George Le Clerc interrupted.

"Someone in a futile attempt blocked our communications for a second. Anyway, I suggest you cease all hostilities against my ships otherwise you will be destroyed.

"Who exactly is doing this Mister Le Clerc" asked the Foreign Secretary as he looked at him stunned thinking who on earth would jam communications to a peace conference.
"Also if you have anything to state first before we officially open this conference and the same for Mister Le Clerc"

Pantorrum Jammed his Communications. Not in an attempt to block communication with the peace conference. We are currently in the middle of a conflict off the shores of Lepton

"I would ask you to cease hostilities so that he may speak and the delegates from Aznazia may now enter please sit alongside the side you were on in this war"

"Well I'm streaming this channel from my ship the 'Despoiler' a small jamming frequency cut off our communications with my ships for a second and so this link was affected by the jammer. Considering Pantorrum submarines are on attack positions on my task force I regratably had to take counter measures and another large battleship of the Pantorrum navy opening fire on us we can only assume it's Pantorrum."

Very well, i have contacted the president, he has ordered admiral Krill to fall back to the rendezvous point

General Franklin Owin walks in and will speak for Aznazia:

"Fellow delegates, yesterday I was a man of war, to day I am a man of peace. The Federation of Aznazia intervened in this conflict due to the nuclear attacks on civilian targets by Pantorrum and cruise missile attacks by the F.I.L.. We also were willing to defend a Republic that was under heavy attack from the socialist nation of Herein. Our preliminary forces of naval units and 4 special forces units were only there as a peace keeping force and to stop these attacks. When the attacks continued we stepped up our position of defense with over 175,000 troops and more units. When Pantorrum sent 2 million more troops we felt that we needed to as well. As a result the Pantorrians threatened more nuclear strikes. As a result we sent Anti-ballistic missile systems that would destroy the missiles in flight. We have nuclear weapons but feared that if we deployed them that it would only raise tensions. Our forces began to engage Herien forces and fighting with Leptonsi troops and started to counter-attack towards Herein. After the F.I.L.'s second cruise missile volley, we decided to send a strong message to Herien allies. Our air and sea units overwhelmed the F.I.L. fleet and caused serious damage. We honor those who died on both ides of the battle and will build a memorial to commemorate those who died. After the battle we offered a truce to the F.I.L. and her allies. We offered many terms of peace for the Pantorrians to choose to end the war. However, our sources tell us that Pantorrrian officials derailed the peace talks by killing their own general and setting us against Pantorrum. As a result Pantourrm chose to bombarde coastal cities with it's navy. The Aznazain airforce and navy response quickly to these atrocities with a heavy counter-attack against the Pantorrian navy. Soon after Crown Island called for this meeting. I would like to bring up some points. First: Pantorrum failed to realize that Herein was a socialist nation and broke their own constitution. Secondly: Pantorrum used a nuclear weapon on a civilian industrial center. This is a horrible act that must be condemned. Thirdly: I would like to applaud the Pantorrian and F.I.L. high command for admitting to their numerous mistakes. However these mistakes have cost the lives of millions of soldiers and civilians. Chancellor Daniel Weiver insists that these two nation should pay for damage done to the Leptonsi and her allies (excluding Zernin and New Tyran). Also he believes that President Carter of Pantorrum should reconsider his political position and consider returning power back to his senate. The people must be able to speak their mind. (OOC: Pantorrum can still make the same type of decisions as before but they should be done through a senate and their President. This doesn't have to be done but I would highly suugest that he does.) This concludes our speech."

Pantorrum has offered a chance for the Lepton's to rebuild there broken country. we are willing to pay a vast amount of money to aid them. However, Zernin must be condemned for attempting mass nuclear offensives. we will fight against the Herein to correct this mistake.
Our troops now in the region maintain there presence only to fight against New Tyran. They can be used to conquer Herein in the name of the Leptons. Or we could end the war, but there is no grantee that Herein will return the Leptsoni's lost land

Admiral Alexander DeLunio speaks:

"Herein should be dissolved to create a more stable region. The size of our combined militaries is enough leverage the government of Herein to surrender. We can then set up a new Leptonsi government and end this war once and for all. However the cloud of war still hang over Pantorrum in their struggle against New Tyran and we will supply them military aid if they agree to an alliance with us."

We will agree to an alliance with aznazia. I agree. we should rebuild a government for the Herein. A better one.

Or we can dissolve the entire nation and give all former Herein territory to a new Leptonsi government.
