As the trio got back to the camp Dimitri ordered the men to continue the march. A bit agrivated by the whole situation Dimitri went ahead of the Army, alone to think. This would also give Caluthria and Kolandia some time to talk

Caluthria and Kolandia spoke for some length in Elven. After a while Kolandia then spoke to Dimitri. "It seems that you're quite filled with consorts. Will you heart sand for room for another?"

Listening to Durunya speak, Marie's heart sank as this was the second time she had been relieved of command. Before Durunya could finish her thought, Marie went ballistic as she spoke up loud enough for even Andy to hear. "Oh no......we are not playing this game again after the last time Prince Malin tried something like this. He cannot tell me to stand-down and for me to give my command over as he isn't the commanding officer of this campaign. I am finishing this war one way or another, but I won't have someone who was dead for the last ten years come over here and tell me otherwise that he is in-charge." As Marie finished for a moment, her eyes showed the anger that was flowing through her as she was beyond pissed off by this point.

Durunya was scared for a moment. And then laughter was heard behind them. The voice was familar. When Marie turn around it was her uncle. Prince Malin looking at her and smiling. "Marie..Marie..so hot headed. My dear you should let you Uncle explain his actions before you go mad with anger. I am please to see your making a great recovery."

"Good then its not you I need to win over. It is her and we will need some time for that." With that Kolandia kiss Dimitri and froze him in place. Then she move over and close the tent. Then Dimitri got to watch frozen as Caluthria and Kolandia got to know themselves better.

"Good then its not you I need to win over. It is her and we will need some time for that." With that Kolandia kiss Dimitri and froze him in place. Then she move over and close the tent. Then Dimitri got to watch frozen as Caluthria and Kolandia got to know themselves better.

Dimitri was stunned while at the same time frozen, a rare occurence for anything. Dimitri could not help but continue to gaze on in a frozen daze.

"Well fifty years is not much to a Elf. I will live probably another at least another nine hundred years. But to put that in context. I'd hope to find someone to fall in love with by then and perhaps start to raise a family. Thats if I get the choice. My brother will respect my freedom, but the nobility will pressured me to marry. Some will hope to ally themselves with the royal line. Others just out of hope my marriage can aid the kingdom. In all I doubt in 50 years I will be single."

Sakura's answer reminded Lord Brinford of the sheer difference in lifespans humans and elves had.

"I guess that makes two of us. I'm at a marrying age too, so I doubt I'll be single in a decade. Heh, I might even be married in three years, since Constannian courtships are generally rather quick," he commented. "So...why did you ask?"

Still shaking Akordia nodded and began to speak some words of Drow. A shadow moved from her and grew and swallowed the whole group. Then they faded from view.

Seeing that the whole group was engulfed now in shadows, Francis had them all keep quiet as the enemy patrols began searching around for them. Fully concealed, even from magic, the group watched as the enemy patrols began to search the area around them, looking for any and all traces of their patrol to either capture or kill. With the silenced magical sniper in his hands, Francis again moved away from his squad to get a better position for himself to take out the enemy. In position, Francis began systematically killing off the enemy patrol Elves while his daughter kept the others protected.

The enemy Elves began to dive for cover as there comrades began to drop dead from Francis shots. One of the enemy drop some kind of grenade that filled the area with impenetrable darkness.

Laying on the floor in a small pool of blood barely conscious, Marie couldn't feel anything as she noticed her focus was going in and out.

Thinking for a few moments, Francis headed back to his squad before he spoke to Akorida. "Akordia.....I need you to focus on destroying that dark magic so I can finish off these patrols. I know doing this will put us in danger, but if we don't do this now we will die anyways. Trust me on this and let our field down. Once their magic is negated, I will take care of the rest." As Francis waited for an answer, he reloaded his weapon to ready himself to take out the remaining patrols.

As both Marina and Charles looked at the bright light off in the distances of the outskirts of the Imperium Capital, both Russell and Leona had just gotten done with their last appointment of the day. As both of them headed back towards their Royal Apartments, Leona noticed as they walked by one of the large windows in the hallway a bright light off in the distance of the city. Looking at it for a moment, her heart sank as her senses realized that the light wasn't natural but instead magical. She had read the reports from the war about the weapons the Imperial Elves were using against the rebels and from what she was seeing, this was one of them heading towards them.

Without even thinking, Leona quickly turned to Russell and spoke. "Russell got get Charles and Marina and bring them down into the caverns of Dragonstone. That light off in the distance is one of those damn Elf Superweapons heading towards St. Petersmarch to destroy us. Get the kids and go I need to alert the city and try to save as many people as we can." Before Russell could say anything back, Leona was already off to send an emergency broadcast throughout the city to try to warn more people. As Leon managed to get the signal out, her eyes noticed the trailing beam behind the light as she began to flee for shelter beneath Dragonstone.

Russell immediately ran to the children's bedrooms, luckily entering Marina's first. Russell barked out an order to get to the caverns beneath the palace, and the three royals quickly ran out of the room, heading for the subterranean shelter.

Among the Constannian knights there was considerable surprise that an Elven superweapon was about to hit St. Petersmarch. Most of the soldiers also headed for the caverns, except for a couple older knights.

"Well, I suppose this is as good a time as any to test the Absolution field," said one.

"We don't have time, sir! We need to get to shelter!" One of his subordinates cried.

"Go on ahead. I'm duty-bound to protect the members of the Imperial Line in every way I can, including this!" The first knight thundered, heading towards a room in the knight's compound. There was a large computer screen with various complicated data feeds that were growing frantic in the face of the oncoming Spear of Heaven blast. However, the knight's task wasn't that complicated, really. A press of a button, an entering of a password, and it was done.

Knightmare Frames weren't the only Constannian technology the Swords of the Empire had brought to the Steel Imperium with them. As the light outside grew brighter shimmering green hexagons began materializing in a protective dome encasing the palace. A magic user would notice something rather odd about the green hexagons; the fact that there didn't seem to be magic in them. Not simply that they weren't produced by magic, but that the magic that naturally flowed over and through the planet completely vanished in the vicinity of the shield.

Waiting a few minutes to make sure that no one else was sent after them, Francis directed Akordia and the other members of the squad to retrieve their fallen comrade as they would be heading back to camp since the recon was becoming to dangerous. Laughter and sounds of passion could be heard for a long while. Finally the freeze spell wore off and Dimitri was free.

Waiting a few minutes to make sure that no one else was sent after them, Francis directed Akordia and the other members of the squad to retrieve their fallen comrade as they would be heading back to camp since the recon was becoming to dangerous. Staying on guard back to the camp, Francis decided to engage in come conversation with his daughter about the encounter. "So Akordia........what did you think of this mission we just partook in? Taking the dead Steel Guard over to the medical tent to be prepared for transport back to the Imperium, Francis noticed his daughter Akordia had been relatively silent during the trip back and this worried him to an extent. After taking care of some reports and the former Steel Guard, both Francis and Akordia headed back to the Steel Guard Command Center and headed to their rooms to rest. Upon entering his room, Francis was met by a still awoken Vera as he responded to her. "Well the mission didn't go as planned as we were ambushed and we lost a Steel Guard. Akordia is ok but she hasn't spoken to anyone since the engagement. Perhaps this would be a good time for you to talk to her as my head is still railing from the battle."

As their squad made it back to their camp, it was still relatively dark outside as their mission had only been a few hours at most. Taking the dead Steel Guard over to the medical tent to be prepared for transport back to the Imperium, Francis noticed his daughter Akordia had been relatively silent during the trip back and this worried him to an extent. After taking care of some reports and the former Steel Guard, both Francis and Akordia headed back to the Steel Guard Command Center and headed to their rooms to rest. Vera then moved off and went to Akordia to speak with her. Meanwhile Celanor enter the room flank by guards. "Lord Francis we need to talk." His voice was one of urgency.

After a few more moments of getting her bearings, she also noticed that she herself was glowing in a dim but prolific bluish light. Troubled about the light, Marie quickly spoke up to one of the attending Elves. "What is with this bluish light that is glowing from my body and what is with the singing?"

"Its Elven healing magic Marie. You need to lie here for a few more hours till they fully heal you." Said Andy coming in her view.
