I imagine you'd be rather busy with helping restore order to Kiku-Riku, but was there something specific you wanted to do once you took back your homeland?" Brinford enquired.

The whole idea of arranged marriages was a bizarre notion to Constannians, given how reverently they viewed matrimony, and Brinford didn't both to conceal that fact.

"That's rather unfortunate. A bit unfair to have you spend the rest of your life with someone when you didn't even choose that man yourself. I understand that a political marriage can do plenty of good if it's done right, since the Holy Fatherland was united under the Constannian Crown by marriages, but as second princess there's not really much chance of you bringing about some super-union by marrying someone, unless all your other older siblings died without heirs. Besides, your family has good control of the kingdom once again, and any of the nobles that would try defying your house are dead, as far as I'm aware," He said. "Not to insult you as a woman, but it's true. Your brother already has children, and with the way the war's been progressing I doubt they'll be in any danger once the Elvish supremacists are finally utterly removed from power."
