Viva la Revolution! (MT) Open

Postby Hobit » Mon Nov 02, 2009 7:31 pm

Ciudad de Springston 12:00 P.M
Monday, September 9 2010

"Sir! We have reports from MICOM. They say they've picked up chatter from certain groups against the government. They say that the big fall is about to come, E is going down, Mobilization is given the go head. We think that they are preparing for an attack on the Empire.", said Defense Minister Griggor Rastin.
"Hmmmm.... I want the military to be put on high alert and martial law put into effect in Ville de Guadelupe, Ciudad de Springston, Jerusalem, Rabat, Ciudad de Camino, and Strong City. Curfews are to be in effect in all cities. Noting is to happen." said Emperor Peter II.
"Yes my liege."

15 minutes later all citizens were evacuated off the streets and workplaces and forced into their homes before curfew. Riots broke out in 12 cities after cars were crashed and stores looted in all the chaos.

"This is Hobitian Governmental Television. I'm Cynthia Montoya. It has been reported that the Emperor has declared martial law in Ville de Guadelupe, Ciudad de Springston, Jerusalem, Rabat, Ciudad de Camino, and Strong City and curfews put in place in all major cities in fear of attacks on the Empire from revolutionists. Several citizens have been killed and 15 injured in the madness that ensured after curfew was set in place. Government official, Defense Minister Griggor Rastin was qouted saying,"Changes are trying to be brought about by several groups and factions that oppose the government. We will not let this happen. For years we have been lucky to live the way we do now. Many people across the world, lack the freedoms we have and rights we do. We will not let this change." That is all for now. I'm Cynthia Montoya reporting for HGTV. Good night."

Ciudad de Springston 5:00 P.M
Monday September 16 2010

As the last of the soldiers returned to their bases after a week of martial law, citizens finally returend to a sense of normality. Children remained outside passed 5, adults were out side talking, bars were filled with people, and government officials were in closed doors deciding what should be done about the rebels who could strike any minute.
"We must locate arm depots and destroy them!" exclaimed one.
"No we need to locate the training camps!" said another.
"NO!"
"YES! We need to strike them not their weapons!"
'Enough! We both all know that we do not know who or what we are facing! We do not need to make ourselves look like fools! We need to find other ways...What was that?" asked the Emperor, who appeared scared.
All the Ministers and Undersecrataries listened. All faces went white. They all heard it. In the distance they heard artillery fire.
"Griggor! Sound the alarms! We are under attack! Get choppers in the air now! I want to know who, how many, where, and what they are armed with. Get the remaining battalions on high alert! Kigil! Get an anouncement out to the public telling them we are under attack. Send it to all allies!" yelled the Emperor.
Ring...Ring...Ring
"Yes? Govenor Riginald? Yes. I see. Activate the Colonial Guard!"
The Emperor looked around the room.
"Ladies and gentlemen! We are at war. Govenor General Riginald of the Colony reports that the capitol is under attack. Kigil start sending the communiques!"

Official Communique of Hobit

As the artlillery fire closed in on the city, the government fled for the docks where 15,000 citizens were waiting to board ships to take them out of the city. The airports were flooded with people. The military was doing all it could, but it was not enough. Only 3,000 soldiers were avalible to defend the capitol and there were 25,000 rebels. Citizens were in a panic. There were riots, looting, robbing, and murder. The government still had no responces from allies, and they still had no idea who was attacking them. Estimates put the ETA at 7 P.M. They had two hours to get the citizens evacuated and remove all important and classified material.
"Your lordship. We think that these are facist rebels approaching the city." said Minister Rastin.
"Hmmmm.... How many soldiers are within 5 hours of the city?" said Peter.
"About 3,000 to about 6,000 sir. Shall I call them back?"
"Yes. Are all members of the government and their families on?"
"Yes sir."
"Then lets board the ship and set sail. I want to be at least 65 miles away before the rebels have access to a boat. I want all naval ships out of port and all small speed boats burned. Also who is protecting the Port?"
"Yes sir. Ummmm... I believe the Royal Militia and the Royal Police force."
"How many?"
"About 500."
"I want them to be on every ship defending it."
"Yes sir. Now lets get out of here."
Peter looked off into the hills around the city. He saw the rebels breaking through what little defense there was.

The military realized these were no ordinary militias. They were too organized. They were more than just up and go revolutionaries, too.
They were definitely supported by someone, but who?

The military soon found out who was suppoting these rebels when mercenaries in full black suits armed with 9mm's and AK-47's approached the ill- defended docks. They were supported by Ledzep123. The Snipers with AW.50 cal's backed this theory. "Soldiers from Ledzep123? But How?" questioned Emperor Peter after being handed a report by his top advisor. The Emperor then heard shouts, "What could that be" aked the advisor. A sailor then rushed into the room.

"Sir, sir! Pirates are attacking! They're killing everyone they se..." the sailor's words were interrupted by the sound of a pistol being cocked. A quick bang soundedand the sailor fell dead. A man in a designer suit walked in."Why hello Empeor Peter, what a pleasant surprise," said the man.
"Captain Zeppelin?" asked the Emperor.
Then one of the Emperor's bodyguards boomed, "Hey, You can't be in here." Caotain Zeppelin pulled out his 9mm and fired three quick shots at the guard. The other guard reached for his weapon, but was shot twice before he could grab it. This was to much the advisor and he ran for the door. He ran right into the blade of the captain's knife. The blade entered the man's heart, and he stared at the captain with a blank look. The captain twisted his knife and let go of the handle. The advisor fell with a thunk. The Emperor looked on in horror. "Oh Emperor, would you like to join me for dinner in about 5 minutes?" asked Captain Zeppelin. "You're a twisted man", said the Emperor. "I try hard," said the captain.

The two sat down for a meal five minutes later. They drank rum and ate great dishes. The emperor slipped knife in his pocket. When he got the captain to laugh, he stabbed him in the heart. The captain looked at the Emperor. "Oh that's interesting" he said, pulling the knife from his heart. "You see," he said, "several years ago, I became so cruel and cold and heartless, I literally stopped using my heart." Captain Zeppelin then motioned for guards to arrest the terrified Emperor. The mercenaries entered and dragged the Emperor out of the cabin. The captain continued drinking the rum. "Drink up me hearties, yo-ho,"

The Shou air was abnormally mild and pleasant despite the ever present pollution and fast approaching winter. The climate on the eastern edge of the Peoples' Revolutionary Square was much harsher; an emergency meeting between the Defense Ministry and the Foriegn Ministry had been called to discuss the recent news out of The Holy Sovereign Empire of Hobit.

The projected maps of Hobit's various holdings glowed on
"Greetings comrades, we at the Foriegn Ministry have recieved troubling news from Hobit. According to official reports, Fascist militias have moved in on several major Hobitian cities. We are unable to pin down the exact threat that these groups pose, however we suspect, due to the urgency of the message, that it is severe"

"If these reports are true, then we have to carefully consider the possible consequences of a fascist Hobit. They have used Communism as a scape goat before, a trend which will only increase under right-wing rule. We must help put an end to this rebellion!"

"A weak Hobit means a strong Guanzhong, and, ideally, a China free from Imperial rule. The people would never accept an intervention in Hobit, supporting them would run contrary to every tenet of our great revolution! Furthermore our dealings with this nation have resulted in nothing but treachery we simply cannot afford to support The Empire of Hobit"

The debate continued back and forth until the Defense Minister was finally allowed to speak, "It is entirely possible to achieve all of our goals in this conflict. If Hobit where to be 'encouraged' to withdraw their forces from China, they would be in a better position to combat the fascists. Additionally, besides of obvious benefits of gaining influence in East Asia, the spread of Guanzhongese Communism would probably make the population more receptive to actively engage the rebels ourselves, if the need arises. In this case, we intervene out of a position of strength, not out of necessity."

"What does encouragement look like Minister?"

"You shall see soon enough" he said with a grin.

A single pair of soldiers silently approach the Guanzhongese-Hobitian border at inner Mongolia. Their olive drab forms are silhouetted against the evening light. They where one of 8 teams of elite GLA commandos charged with finding potential infiltration points for future special operations within the Empire of Hobit itself. They bear no regular uniform, badges, or any other apparel which would indicate their country of origin. This first operation was only to find potential infiltration points, and would not probably actually involve an incursion into Hobit.

The team found a shaded area which they hoped would help them to evade detection
*stop* motioned the first soldier
"Do you see anything?"
"I don't know, hand me the spotting scope"
The second soldier rummaged through his kit to find the device
"hmm... interesting"
"what is it?..."

(OOC: I'm new, so sorry if this isn't the greatest. )

To:Emperor Peter II

From: Lord Dominicus of the Holy Empire of Lord Dominicus

The Holy Empire of Lord Dominicus was a young nation, founded by the name bearer himself, Lord Dominicus, to promote religious and cultural freedom among his followers. However something weighed heavy on the mind of Lord Dominicus as the news broke about the attacks in The Holy Sovereign Empire of Hobit. Lord Dominicus did not have much to spare in the way of an army, navy or air force, but he could not sit back and watch as rebels and terrorists tore this nation apart. Calmly he sat at a desk in his bed chambers, gripping a pen he put it to a piece of paper he hoped would reach Emperor Peter in time.

"Emperor Peter, you may or may not have heard of me, but I find it most hard to stand back and watch as your country is ripped apart by a threat known and unknown. These terrorists who have either taken advantage of or even perhaps fund the rebels within your boarders are sickening to me. I find it is my duty as a leader to extend my hand to you in friendship and allegiance. I understand we have little to offer you, but would gladly offer you any support and or protection you may need. May this letter find you whole and safe in this your time of need.

Lord Dominicus"

Lord Dominicus sealed his letter and handed it off to an adviser who in turn would bring it personally to Emperor Peter, assuming he could find him safely upon gaining entry to the Sovereign Empire of Hobit.

Lord Dominicus looked out his own window and hoped, no prayed, that this incursion of terror and rebellion would not be the end of a country he himself looked up.

"My Lord, are you sure this is the best course of action?" Inquired the advisory.

"This man has done no wrong, his people only know peace, what has befallen him is ghastly and evil and it must be stopped." Replied the unwavering Dominicus.

"Very well my Lord, I shall leave for Hobit at once." The adviser left Dominicus to his thoughts.

As the Royal Cruise Ship the Titanic entered Ville de Vicotory ,the de facto capitol city of Hobit during this war, a messanger arrived in town. He eventually found his way to the port.
"Your Majesty, I have a message from Lord Dominicus."
The Emperor looked over it.
"Tell His Lordship, Dominicus, that whatever he can spare will be fine. But to prepare for attacks as these Facist scum will stop at nothing. I will be greatful for anything he can spare. In return I offer your nation observer status in the Monarchs United Alliance. now get word to Lord Dominicus before the rebels find out we are here."

OOC: Not bad. Excellent opening post. Better than alot of newbies. However you only put to and from on the letters themselves not the whole post.So this:
"Emperor Peter, you may or may not have heard of me, but I find it most hard to stand back and watch as your country is ripped apart by a threat known and unknown. Would become this:

From: Lord Dominicus

Lord Dominicus had received the reply message from Emperor Peter II, he smiled, knowing this would be the beginning of something much greater for his country.

"My Lord, the Emperor seems to have found a safe haven for at least the time being, what is our next move?" The humble adviser questioned.

"There is not much we can do about the rebels, that is for certain. Emperor Peter will have to find out whether they truly are citizens of his country or terrorists in disguise, but what we can do is find out everything about the Islamic Warriors. We need to know where the hail from, who their leader is, but most of all we need to know where they will strike in Hobit next and make sure a strike force of our best men are en route to stop them."

The adviser was obviously shaken by his Lord's response.

"My Lord, our best men? What if they strike here next?"

"That is why, for the time being, I want the our boarders closed. If your not a Hobit refugee fleeing from the war zone, you will not gain entry to the country, understand?" Lord Dominicus replied.

"I understand sir, I will gather together an elite strike force of our best men," This time he didn't hesitate.

"Make sure to keep constant communication with Emperor Peter, he knows his land better than us and may know where these terrorists hide."

The adviser turned and headed out the door. Lord Dominicus was unsure of where this road would take him, or even if his country would come back in one piece, but he knew the terrorists had to be stopped. Word spread fast of Lord Dominicus' alliance and pledge of support to Emperor Peter II through out the Holy Empire and it wouldn't be long before we knew their next move.

Specialist Xi prepared his sniper rifle while Captain Zheng continued to scan the landscape with his spotting scope

"Hmm, nothing... wait... I can see two maybe three people and a truck about 3 kilometers away, its hard to see from this distance"
"Hobitian?"
"maybe... yes definitely Hobitian kit"
"there's probably an outpost nearby, this location won't work"
"If there is, I can't see it from here... wait, our second guy seems excited"
"have they spotted us"
"impos...*figure points at them* shit they spotted us"
"The short one is walking away, should I open fire?"
"No! we have strict instructions not to engage unless fired upon"
"lets get out of here"
"Put down your rifle, I've got a better idea"

Capt. Zheng searched for a flashlight, and sent a message to the Hobitians in Morse code.

"Commander! We have an incoming message from the Guanzhongese soldiers we are scouting." said Private Fa.
"What does it say?" said Lt. Fa Jintao.
"Hello Hobitian Soldiers, we mean no harm. We are here to help and wish to meet with you."
"Get the scouting party the message and have them meet them."

Specialist Xi lowered his rifle, and the pair walked down from their post to meet their Hobitian counterparts. It was even cooler up north near Inner Mongolia

"Greetings, I am Captain Zheng of the Guanzhong Liberation Army, we have received word of a fascist threat to Hobit, and have been ordered to keep watch on the Guanzhongese- Hobitian border, and offer assistance to any Hobitian forces we met. Obviously neither of us are diplomats and not responsible for policy decisions, however you should inform your superiors so that a more official agreement concerning the fight against your fascist rebels may be made. Due to political reasons, all of these correspondences must remain secret"

The General already received confirmation from the President of Solm to go ahead and go to Hobit. He paced back and forth in his quarters of the large base. He looked at his watch, waiting for the letter from State to send to Hobit. He quickly glanced at the fax machine every time he paced one side. Finally, a message came through, in three long strides he arrived at the machine, reading the message as it came out:

Dear Emperor of Hobit,

The Republik of Solm has received your plea for help through NEMA. Solm does not stand for a nation of your greatness to be demolished and destroyed through one group of terrorists. We do not stand to let fascists take over a free government that upholds individual freedom and natural rights. Hobit is great nation, a strong nation, and a free nation, and we shall not let it be destroyed.

Therefore, I have issued an order for one of my General's to command 1 million troops, we think this should be suitable for you, but we do have much more if needed, and go into Hobit to destroy any revolutionists and secure the nation of Hobit.

Thank You, if you have any objections to this, you may wire my General, who's information Is below.

~ President of The Republik of Solm

The General smiled, he has never commanded a force of 1 million before, never anything near that, actually. He paraded out the door and told his assistant to ready the one million troops, he smiled at the expression the major gave.

As the General boarded the plane, he would fly into Hobit, they already had a carrier standing by for landings. The General smiled, laughing, as he thought of his plan. When he landed, which will be in due time, he would head off to the emperor. He would order his troops to stop the invasion of the city and then proceed to secure the rest of Hobit.

The plane started up, shaking the General over, he didn't like planes, but they were necessary. He liked the feel of the sea and the navy. He loved to be on a boat, and dreaded flying. But, he was exhilarated by the amount of men he was given to command. He sat back and tried to sleep through it.

"Agreed. But how do we know that during this fight you won't just run over the border and claim all of China for Guanzhong? What is stopping you from doing that? How do we know we can trust you?" asked Sgt. Hu.

Meanwhile in the Ciudad de Victory

General Van Stauffen made his way towards the War Room of the ship. As he entered the Emperor looked up from the digital map on the table. He looked extremely stressed. "Geeze this guy needs some rest" the general thought to himself.
"Sir! We have word that the rebels have broken through the last line of defense. They are rapidly approaching the Palace and Parliment Buldings." yelled Gen. Johan Van Stauffen.
"What! How long until 6,000 troops get there and 200,000 more?!" yelled the Emperor.
"At least 2 days sir."
"That will take to long! By then the Rebels will have the capitol and all will be lost!"
"We will try sir. But it takes time. Your Excellency, you look tired you need some rest."
"I will not sleep until this crisis is averted! We have 600 million plus people whose lives hab=ng in the balance of this! Don't tell me to sleep!" snapped the Emperor,"How are the evacuation efforts going in the capitol?"
"Only 300,000 escaped sir. That is small compared to the 9 million people who live within the city limits. In the whole metro area there is 13 million."
"Damn it! Are the ports closed off?"
"Yes sir we sealed them when we left. About 10,000 people were left there."
"All at the mercy of the rebels."
"Aye sir."
Then suddenly Col. Fried Roysin burst into the room. Out of breath he managed to say," Sir they have... captured... Ciudad de...Springston."
