Okay this ends the Brydog/IM situation and puts it back to nothing. Brydog - as it stands now you have no pending claims as you revoked them. You may reinstate them if you want. If you do and IM you want to contest - please just say so immediately and we'll move on but I hope we're not going to go back into this.

I'm going to be dropping the claims to the former Amigardian territories.

Adding on to my domination of Far East Asia I claim the remainder of Mongolia. If my cartography isn't failing the claims should be Uvs, Zavkhan, Khövsgöl, Övörkhangai, Bayankhongor, Bulgan, Dundgovi, Govisümber, Orkhon, and Khovd Provinces.

If my cartography is failing, in plain words: I claim Mongolia wholly.

A soccer team typically has 18 players- 11 who start and seven on the bench. During the game, the manager can, at any time, change up to three players in the starting 11 with players from the bench, so there's always 11 players on the field.

Those 11 players are divided in four groups: goalkeepers, defenders (who play in front of the goalkeeper), midfielders and forwards (who play in front of the opponent's goalkeeper. You always need one goalkeeper on the field, but it's up to you how many defenders, midfielders and forwards you want to have on the field- as long as you have 11 on the field.

Typically a traditional soccer team has four defenders, four midfielders and two forwards- it's the formation that's in the middle between attack and defence, but you don't have to arrange it like this.

Special Announcements
Well 2014 is here and we've put our ninth year behind us, something indeed! There were a lot of changes in 2013 thanks to our new thread. Some of the highlights include new claims maps, a new format to our main thread, a total history revision, and some lengthy (but fantastic) threads. Despite the low membership (perhaps the lowest of any year), we remain a stable and well-rounded group. In light of this, I feel that I should start a goal's list for Earth II for 2014 and share it with everyone.

• Update member histories to end of 2013 minimum. See here for more details.
• Get World Cup V going.
• Increase total (active + pending) membership to 22 (+7 players from where we stand today).
• Get us an up-to-date entry on IIwiki.
• Restart the bank and stock exchange.

The goals are small for now but we can add them as time goes – and I would love to cross them out with strikethrough as we accomplish them. These goals aren't entirely on myself – I need your help as our community's members on each and every one of these bullet points.

Let's make 2014 a year of true revitalization for our RP! Wouldn't it be nice to celebrate our 10th anniversary in November with a bang and a half?

I totally forgot to mention in the update. I removed the Time Zone(s) from the spreadsheet and from the application. Reason being that 1/2 of the time people didn't get them right and no one updates it.

So how are we going to deal with time zones? We'll use what real-life is. If you're too stupid to figure out how to use this map or Wikipedia (which lists the time zones to everything) then seek some better education.
