I made some Multicultural Coke jokes with my half-Pakistani friend about it, but that's all it merited, a bit of lighthearted ribbing for being a little too obvious about what it was doing.

The melting pot really only works with white minorities like the Germans, the Irish, Italians, Poles, Jews, etc. who start out getting spat upon and end up accepted into the fold. Integration across the lines of color doesn't come so easily to the silent majority here, and the silent majority doesn't appreciate it when things like commercials or TV shows portray white Americans as being just one of many equal minorities.

No need to duck and cover - that is a true and correct statement. English is the de facto language of the United States though and until they pass a law acknowledging that English and Spanish is the official language of the country it should remain in the de facto language. It's been translated before into German, Latin, and other languages - going as far back as the late-1800s - but same thing, it should be English-only until then. Obviously my own opinion and I'm sure there's plenty of disagreements.

Also I am going to try to work with the spreadsheet a little and play around with the format - maybe reload the data to clear any cell errors - that sort of thing. Might take all weekend now that I think about it.

Could everyone please review the spreadsheet for your nation and advise any changes - just post the needed changes. If you're missing a currency symbol, I need it posted; if you are missing any date, I need it posted. Review things like population, head's of government/state, independence dates, etc. Take a look at military sizes too. < 1% is common for Western states, 1% - 1.5% is about what you'll find in some reasonable militarized states. If you're getting over 1.5% you need to re-evaluate the kind of country you have. Mind you, North Korea is way up there but you see how sensible of a country they are.
