When I was in Earth II before, my initial claim was Austria, Switzerland, and Slovenia, and I RP'd it as originating in Austria in the fall of North Germania, at roughly the same time the German Region gained independence in Germany. In the previous history, this was throughout the spring and fall of 2009. In the newer history, I can see it has been moved to be around the spring of 2004, which would make more sense. My questions start to arise with France though, because my next important event was taking over south eastern France when Corbournne collapsed, as well as moving overseas to take control of Libya. I originally intended to take all 8 southern states of France, but due to the arrival of Frani and his claims, followed by intense negotiations, we ended up taking only Rhône-Alpes, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, and Aquitaine, as well as most of Libya. Neither Corbournne nor Frani are in the revised history, but it includes that
August 8, 2001: [North Germania] After 3 months of civil war, the Fourth Reich of North Germania officially disbands. The various states become independent but the violence does not stop. Germany and France become independent. Poland becomes the Democratic Republic of Poland and the Low Countries become the Dutch Unitary Republic.
Are we in a sense merging Corbournne and Frani to be that independent French nation? Because the War of Klievanian Succession was my third and most significant major event, and it wouldn't really make sense without a French nation.
Assuming that works though, more questions with the War of Klievanian Succession. It took place shortly after the fall of Third Spanish States, which in the revised history has been set to have taken place in 2010. However, it also has The German Region annexing my lands on March 24, 2006. I think it might be better if the War of Klievanian succession had happened in the '08 or '09, because 2 years after all three of the main combatants were founded just seems too soon to make a lot of sense, but it would make sense for the aquisition of new lands and people by Germany to have contributed to the unrest and eventual collapse of the nation in 2011 (revised timeline).
I think the war was significant enough to justify its existance in the timeline, since it almost turned into a World War spanning Europe, Africa, and the Pacific, but I'm not quite sure how much we'd have to modify it since a lot of the involved members are no longer present. The main combatants were myself, The German Region, and Frani (or a replacement generic French state as mentioned above), but there was also involvement by Cotland (performed a major landing in France), Hi No Moto (directed towards Khorsun), Khorsun (sent expeditionary forces, but is retconning that section of his history), Gliskor (as the Principality of Smolensk sending expeditionary forces), URBOV (sent a small fighter escort to aid Gliskor, one plane being shot down), Leavatia (gave Klievan the island of Malta, sent an expeditionary force), Drvarska (Pledged forces to assist The German Region), and Mount Kip (sent a fleet to fight in the Mediterranean, conquered Frani after he CTE'd at the end of the war). Obviously some will have to be modified, but it can still be made to work.
The last thing I noticed is that the only one who took my African lands while I was gone was Helissa, who is absent not only from the revised timeline, but from the Consolidated History thread itself. By that standing, if I claim my old lands in Africa, would it be ok if I wrote for the revised history a background in which Helissa is retconned and Klievanian government continued to exist in Africa as an exiled state, which had to spend the years recovering and living in shame until the present, looking to take back its Vaterland now that Olmeria has collapsed?
