Alternate Cold War (IC, PMT 2020)(Closed)

Postby Johto and Kanto » Sun Feb 17, 2013 3:47 pm

Edo, 2 PM
Emperor Tajiri sat in his office, watching JKNN(Johto Kanto News Network) as news broke.
"The oil transport was the third to be ambushed this week, and hopefully the emperor will take some action. If the Alaskan and Canadian oil fields run dry, who knows what could happen."
The emperor sighed as he turned off the television. It had been 68 years since they had regained their independence from Allied occupation in 1952, and it looked like the "cold war" might become a full out war.

The Chinese Emperor, Aisin Gioro, was smoking a fine, Havana cigarette, as he perused the news report of the dwindling oil resources, "I feel wise for investing in Mongolia and Tibet for petroleum. Only if I can get hands on Russia, that would be a boon."

President Eriksen read the news, frowning at the front page. "A shortage of oil? Impossible. Probably communist propaganda. Anyways, has Japan decided its side? Still neutral? Okay."

Japanese Imperial Decree
All oil tankers and other oil transport will be guarded by the military. The Japanese government is now in control of all oil-based imdustries, and oil is now heavily rationed. Although it may be tough, we will lead Japan to greatness!
Signed, Emperor Tajiri

Aisin Gioro read this letter and thought to himself, "Even our refineries? No kidding."
"Hey, Fung Xiao Wang,(beckoning to his foreign minister) is this true?"

Fung Xiao replied, "No, the Japanese are spewing nonsense."

Aisin replied, "Okay. Call Jing Ling Dang Peihao!"

Jing Ling enters the room and bows to the Emperor, "What is it that you want, Grand Majesty?"

Aisin replied, "Okay. As the Commander-in-Chief, how many more forces do we have as of now?"

Jing Ling replied, "We added 2 more million troops, amounting to 12 million in total."

Aisin replied, "Nice. I can relax now. No blood pressure rising. That's good."

IC: Jing Ling asked, "Majesty, why do you ask, when you have asked earlier?"

Aisin replied, "Come read this. The Japanese are claiming all oil refineries as theirs!"

Jing Ling stuttered and quietly replied, "Your Majesty, this only applies within the confines of Japanese territory and its jurisdictions."

Aisin stuttered, "Uh-uh... ooh, I need to get some paperwork done. Go back to your office."

Jing Ling bowed and returned to his office.

"W-Well, try to stay on their good side, then." said the emperor, a bit nervous.

"Emperor, the foreign minister is waiting to see you.", said the female secretary.

Aisin replied, "Bring him in."

Foreign minister enters.

Aisin greeted him with joy, "Welcome back! What did Mongolia say about all-around economic cooperation?"

FM replied, "They agreed to it to expand their economy."

Aisin replied, "Good, good. Soon Ulaanbaatar will be in our hands."

7:00 am. London, England.

Winston Churchill reads a news report

"Japan short on oil, somethings very suspicious here." he turns to his advisor "Keep an eye on the news, I have a feeling something's not right."

Tiberius the 2nd stared at the television along with his fellow advisors, after 5 minutes he turned it off.

The world was now short on the oil. if the The empire doesnt do anything now, then its 850 Million citizens will suffer.

"Put our forces in the middle east on full alert and begin the conscription process, I want an additional 3 million soldiers armed and ready to go."

At this, the Minister of the military and his aide saluted the emperor and left to begin the order.

Emperor Tiberius II then addressed the rest of the cabinet, "My friends, I think it is safe to say the cold war will go hot very soon. Its been over 100 years since we fought the allies in ww2 and we have made colossal progress in improving everything in our nation including our military. however, things will go awry if we lose our oil." He then got up and began walking towards the doors.

"Double the security of all our oil refineries and tankers, and prepare the military for a full dress war."

"Bring in the foreign minister's son, that intern!"

Intern, named Bing Shao Ling Xiao Xiao Ling Huang, entered the office and bowed to the Emperor.

Aisin said, "Hello Bing, I saw your formal text message on my new Samsung Galaxy S3. I have over 500 apps now. Is it true that Japan is short on oil?"

Intern replied, "Your Majesty, it is never known if their resources are short or not; propaganda is prevalent in the Japanese state. However, preparation for the Cold War seems to be imminent. Your Majesty, we must start exercising our troops to prepare for an impending war, and we must move all oil supplies to the center of the state." Then, the intern quietly whispers the location to which the oil supplies must be transferred.

OOC: Location is undisclosed. "Center of the state" does not mean precisely at the center of the territory.

Aisin replied, "Intelligent guy. Your father must be proud of you. You must be better than him in NHL 13. I played your father once on that game on XBox, and he couldn't even score a goal. Now, go back to work. Tell your father I am well pleased with you."

Intern bowed and left the office.

President Eriksen worried about Japan. It held most of the pacific, so the Soviets could use it to launch an attack on the West Coast.

OOC: I didn't realize this was taking place so far in the future, is it alright if I change my leaders name to John Summers? If not that's fine

IC: The Prime Minister enters his office and speaks to his right hand man Seymour Brickberry "Seymour, are you aware of the Japanese crisis? In order to prepare I want to start a draft, it would be ideal if we had about one million more soldiers, even better if we had two. Also prepare our naval vessels in case something goes awry. Until then keep watching Japan for any new information.'

Seymour replies "Right away sir!"

The Prime Minister turns back sharply "Oh and Seymour, let's not let the people know about this just yet." He walks out of the office.

Aisin put on his reading glasses and calls Bing Ling Xiao again, "Bing Ling Xiao! Come!"

Bing bowed and approached him.

AIsin stated, "Go over to the Soviet territory as an ambassador, and request cooperation. If they ask for an alliance, accept."

Bing was worried, "Emperor, I'm worried if my 4G will be charged every minute I use in the Soviet territory."

Aisin stated, "Don't worry. They have lots of dough. 4G'll be free for diplomatic ambassadors."

Bing thanked his Emperor for that piece of information and left the office.

John Summers arrives in a secret warehouse located in an uninhabited area of Scotland. The warehouse is filled with nuclear warheads. Summers speaks to a top scientist.

The scientist says "Sir, we have built the nuclear weapons you requested."

Summers replies "Excellent, I want you to test a few of them in the Atlantic Ocean."

The scientist was shocked by his answer "But sir, we are positive they work, there is no need to-"

Summers interrupts him "That wasn't a request, and make sure the other nations are made aware, it may make them think twice about picking on us."

The scientist remains bewildered "Yes sir, but I don't think-"

As the Prime Minister walks out he turns interrupt the scientist one last time "Well you should, your get paid good money to think."

The nuclear warheads were tested the following day in the ocean left of Ireland
