The 10 guards peered out the window to see the movement. One of them went to the President. "Sir," he said, "We need to get you out of here, now." The president was rushed out of the back door, hopping that no one was back there.
Fort York, Hyperion Colony
The jets were launching missiles at any building they could see. Artillery was pounding the entire coastline as shells were being lobbed from huge sea cannons. Sailors were rushing from position to position, trying to make the war against Hyperion as short as they could possibly make it. But, it didn't matter. They knew that even if they liesurly walked to their posts, they could still defeat them.

"God have mercy..." The minister took out a small, steel device, and selected an option called,"YORK TOWN AUTOMATED MISSILE DEFECE GRID." He chose the 8th option. "EXPERIMENTAL MISSILE CHOSEN. ENTER CONFIRM CODE." He turned to Athena. "These missiles will hit NAE colony capital land and turn the city into ash. We shipped 4 in from a foreign country as an emergancy Defence. Do you believe it necessary to fire these, or do you agree with me it is not worth it for civilian casualty?"

[Hyperion]

As the president awoke, a guard informed him what was going on. He was alarmed, abit unstable now, and angry. "They invade us...in a peace conference? Evacuate the machine and finish it. Then send it at them. It should take out that entire fleet if its built right." He then wondered if Athena heard him, and if he would be pinned and forced to reveal what it was.

Athena was frantic at this point, the grid had detected Assyrian taskforce approaching Hyperion.
In an act of disperation she sent out these messages.
"Seriph Call off the attack, CALL OFF THE ATTACK NOW! The SWoD is in full automation mode and us AIs are locked out! EVERY ATTACK IS GOING TO GET HIT WITH ORBITAL BOMBARDMENTS! As much as a grudge I have against you, I would like to see hyperion to fall too, BUT NOW IS NOT THE TIME TO DO THAT! CALL IT OFF, FOR GODS SAKE, CALL IT OFF FOR YOUR PEOPLE DAMMIT!"
"ASSYRIAN TASKFORCE! BREAK OFF THE ATTACK, I REPEAT BREAK OFF THE ATTACK, THIS IS SWoD AI ATHENA, THE SYSTEM IS ON FULL AUTOMATION MODE, WE DO NOT HAVE ANY CONTROL OVER IT! IF YOU ATTACK ITS GOING TO BOMBARD YOU! BREAK OFF, BREAK OFF! AS MUCH AS I WANT YOU TO SUCCEED THIS TIME, WE DO NOT HAVE CONTROL, BREAK OFF NOW! LIFE TO CONQUER THEM ANOTHER DAY!"

OOC: none of this is actually said out, she sent a voice and text message saying the exact thing, except she never actually said any of this throught the chassis.

Athena turned around and slapped the Hyperion president.
"YOU FUCKING IDIOT, DO YOU WANT TO DIE TOO!?!? THE GRID WILL HIT YOU TOO IF YOU DO THAT!"

The president stared at Athena. "How much would it take to make you friendly with us?"

"Fine, I'm calling off my special ops and the machine." He called his science team. "Cancel Operation Mechanical Terror. Disarm the Machine. Do not attack."

"By the way, half of Fort York is already gone. The SWoD is probably having delays."

20 B-52 Bombers and 25 F-16 jets took off from Vulcan Airfield to Fort York to provide cover fire for the naval fleet. The message from Athena had not yet reached Seriph or the military

The president was pushed into an armored SUV, which tried to drive from the hotel to the airport, where their Hercules and AC-130 Escort was waiting

Athena turned around and slapped the Hyperion president.
"YOU FUCKING IDIOT, DO YOU WANT TO DIE TOO!?!? THE GRID WILL HIT YOU TOO IF YOU DO THAT!"

We found Seriph. It won't attack us if we send a squad to kill the bastard, will it? Or for that matter, will you attack me?"

Athena turned around and slapped the Hyperion president.

im not part of the grid! We AIs are just caretakers! But if you attack him, then the grid will attack hyperion too!

"Great. And we may of sabotaged his phone so he won't get the text for another 2 minutes..." The president cried and prepared to be body slammed by the AI.

Serious got the message from Athena. He then pulled out his Android and sent a message to Gyis to stop the bombardment. It didn't go through. He tried sending it again. Same result. Shit, he thought. "I can't call it off." Mumbled Seriph

[Hyperion]

The president sobbed. "My colony, my citizens, my people...they will all die...I came here for peace, but NAE has declared war...I wanted so badly to make peace, for an Assembly of Peace...but it was all a hoax when NAE supported it...or at least, it soon became so. Now, if it is formed, it will be disbanded like in every other war you seem to of had."

The president continued crying, and just cried in a corner.

The president sobbed. The president boarded the Hercules in the airport. He sat down and reached for a small glass and poured himself a drink. He took a sip and wiped his head with a handkerchief. He then got a message from Gyis. "Fort York is being demolished. Operation: Hyper-War is underway. Paratroopers inbound, landing in 30 minutes"

All of a sudden A message appeared in Seriph's inbox

As the weapons charged up in preparation of bombarding the force, suddenly, there was a ripple in reality, and the SS of phoenix steped out of it.
"theres lots of things that you humans dont know about us slipspacians. Heh, now you learn a bit." he said to himself.
As the kinetic strikes, missile bombardments, and other devastating weapons headed towards the taskforce, an unknown force caused them to all converge on one point. The SS himself. right before the weapons impacted him, he broadcasted this one message. "We are Phoenix, Through the fire and ashes, WE WILL RISE AGAIN." Then the weapons impacted. the sky lit up in a blaze of light and fire, the ground shook, as if the earth was splitting apart. And after 20 long minutes, there was nothing left in that one place, except a crater, 2 miles deep. However, part of the fort got caught in the attack, as the corner of the crater reached 100ft into the fort. However, that was only wave one.

Seriph, reading the message, responded.

To: SS of Pheonix
Hopefully, hostilities between us shall cease from now on.

He then tried to send a message to Gyis: Stop the bombardment. Guise replied moments later, saying that "The bombardment ceased 5 minutes ago. We did as much destruction that we could do from the sea, we're leaving it to the Army and Air Force now."

OOC: he just died sparing the Neo-Assyrian task force, hopefully they run, like now.
Athena's chassis has a look of shock on her face. did.... did the SS just sacrifice his body to protect an ASSYRIAN force? What? She slumped own into a nearby chair, crushing it(her chassis is like 4oo pounds, now if you add the shield, armor, ect... yea....), trying to comprehend what just happened.

After a long time trying to comprehend, she finally sent a voice messages to the Assyrians.
"The SS, he, he just, he just sacrificed himself to protect your taskforce.... why would he do that? he, he, he..... * incoherent babbling from this point on*)"

The paratroopers were heading for Hyperion when a large explosion ripped the airplanes apart. The flaming remains landed in Southern Hyperion.
Meanwhile, another invasion force was coming from the colony. They would attempt to land in the remains of Fort York within 2 hours.

"Right.. well.. Good day to you all." The Autarch saluted them all and left, returning to Volvek.

Seriph sighed inside of the plane. Not a sigh of relief, but a sigh of guilt. When he heard Athena's message, about the SS, he thought to himself that it was an unnecessary sacrifice. He then tried sending a message to Gyis again:

Admiral, stand down and call off all attacks now.

But, the message didn't go through. Gyis was standing on the deck, far from his phone. He was watching Fort York go up in flames. Then, the bombers reached Fort York. The real bombardment was about to begin.

As the Assyrian bombers reached the fort a mechanical voice in the orbital grid announced, "Warning, aggression detected, responding with lethal force, AI lockout engaged, full automation engaged. Beginning bombardment of aggressive forces."
And with that, the orbital satellites launched thousands of fist sized titanium/tungsten alloy pellets, accelerated to hypersonic speeds, blanketing the bomber's paths.

As the pellets came down, the bombers' wings and shell became filled with holes. Then, the engines became filled with the pellets and shut down. A pilot looked out the window and saw that the bomber was coming down. "There's Fort York, but we're falling!" yelled the pilot. Then, he sent a message to the other pilots:

Since we are all probably going to crash anyways, and we all have small chances of survival now, crash in to the buildings below in Fort York. By doing this, we can cripple the enemy's defense systems and create a base here.

Then, a few bombers began to nose-dive towards still-standing structures in the city. Within a minute or two, all of the bombers had crashed or were about to crash in to Fort York

OOC: those pellets would fly straight through the planes.. Probably blowing them up in mid flight

OOC: In that case, just think that the wreckage fell in to the city.

As the Hercules was coming towards the colony, Seriph was immediately taken off the ship and in to another armored transport. The car drove 2 miles to the Colonial Capitol, where he was taken to a bunker 50 feet beneath the ground.
Fort York, Hyperion Colony
As the flaming wrecks of the bombers fell from the sky and in to the city, the Navy continued to fire upon the city, with Admiral Gyis watching over. Gyis, seeing that there was only minor resistance from the Hyperions against the naval fleet, he ordered for 1 destroyer to give up 85% of its sailors and finish off the battle on the ground. He wanted to be sure that Hyperion fell, and that a land base in the Hyperion colony could be established within the next 24 hours. And with those commands, 650 soldiers were preparing for a land assault on the city.
