OOC: Hyperion revealed that everything that Singpu has done in the past day or so was because of him. Hyperion telegramed Singpu ideas to make him "liked" (Actually be hated) and almost caused another war. OOC: When I'm on my school laptop, I sometimes get an error when I try to post an FB. But, I copy what I have, go to my nation page, go back to the FB and paste everything again. It should work

As tanks and soldiers roll back from the border of Singpu's colony, solders are flocking to Vulcan Airfield. Out of the 8,000 soldiers in the colony, now there will only be 3.5k because of the war in Hyperion. These soldiers are being shipped off to fight the enemy in helicopters, aircraft and some even going in Destroyers.

Seriph began, once more, to work on things in and around the cololny, more importantly, Dramsk. He began to expand city limits to 5 miles from where they once were. He also set up a larger defense force for the colony, ordering for another 5,000 soldiers that weren't fighting in the war to be sent in to the city, to defend it in case of any new attack or any new threat. The new soldiers would arive by plane and helicopter and should be arriving within the next day or two.

Edward looked through the morning reports. Transportation through the colony has gotten better due the construction of highways through out the colony. The economy was increasing at a steady pace and showed no signs that it will falter. Education was increasing and crime was decreasing as more universities opened up and the police force enforced the same laws used back in New Emphillon. Lastly, the military continued to conduct research at Gormonsk and began training at Fort Folkner (Edward was unaware of the fort's name and had no part in the choosing of it).

Edward reclined back in his chair and grinned. It was nice to have a normal day at the office and not have to worry about another nation attacking the colony. Edward did not miss his days serving in the military during the civil war in New Emphillon twenty years ago.

As he went through the paperwork, he found one sheet that caused him to frown. The defense community wanted to have nuclear weapons tested and placed here in the colony. Edward just shredded the document. There was no way he was going to allow a nuclear weapon in the colony. He hated the damn things, just like both sides of the Iron Curtain had during the Cold War. And for someone who nearly had his country blown up by one of the things, he would not have any of the objects in the colony, let alone tested here.

The rest of the paperwork was easy and Edward finished it all by lunch. Shortly after he finished his work, General Ramses and his secretary arrived to have a meeting with Edward. And the topic...

"I would like the colony to have nuclear weapons," he said after Edward offered him a chair. Edward gave General Ramses a hard stare.

"Absolutely not, Walther," Edward said with a cool voice. He thought that his cold expression would make his point clear. But Ramses either didn't get the message or he was to dim to know when to not argue with his superior.

"I ask you to reconsider, Edward," Ramses said as he had his secretary set up a stand and placed a chart on it containing a graph of some sort.

Why did I ever choose him to be my secretary of defense, Edward asked himself.

"Now as you can see from this chart here..." Ramses began before Edward interrupted.

"Ramses, I will not have nuclear weapons stocked here or be tested on the continent. The objects will attract negative attention from the international community and will cause an uproar, which is something I do not want. Not to mention that I am trying to help establish peace on this continent and nuclear weapons would completely throw that goal out the window. Plus, the costs of constructing the facilities necessary are enormous, not to mention the amount of time and money it would take to get the materials necessary to power the weapons. I'm sorry, Walther, but my answer is still no," Edward concluded with another cool stare.

Ramses returned the stare. "Don't you wish for the colony to be able to fight back against a foe who could kill us with nuclear fire and radiation any time they choose," he asked.

Edward stood up, now angered by the general's incompetence. "Have you ever heard the expression 'two wrongs don't make a right'? I will not be the one responsible for the death of thousands because of a WMD. Don't you remember the political fallout that occurred after the Soviet Union acquired its nuclear weapons in the late 1950s," Edward asked.

This caught Ramses, who had been 14 when that happened. He simply retrieved his coat and skulked out of the office, with his secretary in tow. After they left, Edward sat back in his chair and sighed. I wonder if I can get him in front of a firing squad for being a thick headed old fool, he thought.

Out front, Ramses was thinking the same thing. But it did not matter that Edward didn't approve of the program. Ramses had already set up a nuclear research facility at Gormonsk and planned to test the first bomb within a few months. It will be a shame that Edward will have to watch that happen in Hell, Ramses thought happily. And with Edward out of the way, New Emphillon will become the dominant power in the Ardentes and the entire continent will tremble at the sight of Ramses and his arsenal of AN602 hydrogen bombs, known as "Tsar Bomba". All will come to fruition, Ramses thought as he reviewed the tests of the tanks at Gormonsk.

Within the colony, towns were beginning to pop up more frequently, especially suburbs. Many, such as Zerik, Ophyr, and Aeri are becoming much, much larger than sleepy little towns, as they once were, and are now almost part of the city itself. Radio stations in the area are begining to branch out from Dramsk and head out towards the unknown territories, keeping a large stream of stations where-ever colonists would go. Everything was going well in the colony. However, Seriph still thought that the colony needed more protection. He ordered for every town to have a militia of, at least, 500. With these militias, Seriph thought, Maybe we will be prepared in case of war... in case of invasion.

With the previous invasion now canceled, the colonial territory had recieved a reinforcement of 10,000 soldiers along with a number of pilots and sailors.

With the many colonies that Volvek has, the standard military will be getting stretched thin. A special branch seperate from the military but funded by the government will be created and known as, The Imperial Volveken Colonial Marine Corp. Or I.V.C.M.C. It will be just like the normal military, with it's own small armored division, infantry division, and small air flight, but it won't be considered a direct branch of the military.
