Overall, Akari is winning, athough only 12% of votes have been counted. The percentages:
Akari-8%
Haruto-3%
Neither-1%
The other 88% of votes have not been.cast, so it can go either way.

Field Marshal Kaska looked through his binoculars at the Juvian line with amusement. Ever since the 33rd arrived, The line has been a flurry of activity with Waltinuan soldiers running around prepping the armaments. Opposite of the line, was the magnificent sight of the 33rd armored Division. On the frontlines, were the new TK-90 tanks, which was heavily armored but fast on it's feet with newly improved track, all of them equipped with 130 MM cannon. There were about 270 in front followed by the older TK-84s which numbered about 400. farther back were 800 APC's each carrying 20 Tyberonian Shock Commandos, who were armed with top of the line weaponry. Kaska didnt know the enemy numbers but he knew they still outnumbered them, the line at least.

Kaska put down his binoculars and walked down the hill where his front line was protected from mortars. Once he got to his command post, The Command Kolonel ran up to him.

"Sir! The Tanks have been gassed and are ready to advance." said the Kolonel

"Very Good, But bombard the line first until 2000 then send in 50 tanks to check it out." He responded as he looked at the Strategic map.

"Very Well sir!" he clicked his heels and ran towards the nearest column of tanks to give the order.

As he read the map kaska thought to himself, "We'll have to wait for the japanese before we strike."

Lessta knew a bombardment was likely, so he ordered the major arms put underground, and ordered his troops up Mount Arles,7 out of 39 miles high because it would provide a cleft and multiple caves. He also ordered 50 out of 250 mortars up in caves, where they could blast back. He soon heard bombs raining down below as the last mortars and troops were sheltered.

Commander Roberts sat in his office overlooking Boston Harbor, crowded with military ships. As they were boarded, Roberts watched the election footage. He didn't care it was still in Japanese, not translated yet, he could still read the numbers. If the unlikely happened and Haruto won, he may have to make the call that they would be fighting against Tyberon, instead of with them. Roberts sincerely hoped this did not happen.
A sergeant walked into his office. "Sir, we request permission to leave for Europe." He asked. "Send three ships, 300 men. Leave the other 27 in reserve." Roberts replied.
"Yes sir." Responded the sergeant as he ran back out into the harbor.

The Artillery rained down like a holy vengeance, destroying infantry vehicles out in the open rendering them heaps of fires. What few infantry squads that were outside were killed as the shrapnel ripped apart their bodies. After 2000, the bombardment ended. The line was scorched with lush green trees now black burning sticks and grass was now dust. Pretty anything that was not moved from the target zone was instantly destroyed and turned into dust. Kaska looked out at the barren landscape, The wall still remained up but there was a rather large gap in it. He looked around for survivors but saw none; this made him very suspicious but knew the only way to see if this was for real was to send in the 50 tanks. He said a couple of words in a radio and the tanks to his right started up with a puff of black smoke coming out of the engines. Slowly the TK-90s advanced, crushing pieces of characol as they rolled foward to the section.

Emperor Tiberius watched the TV with the japanese elections, he fear harutio might seize control but his wife assured him that the japanese people knew better than to elect a tyrant.

As the elections continued, people all over the territories of J&K watched the election. The election has new totals:
Akari-28%
Haruto-15%
Neither-2%
Due to support among poor farmers in Brazil as well as most people in the Pacific Northwest, Haruto still holds a small chance, but Akari is very likely to win.

F&C supports Akari due to strong capitalist views and equal rights for women movements in Australia.

We will not voice formal support in the Japanese election, though most Tahitoans support Akari

As for the conflict between Tyberon and Waltinua, we voice our support our ally, Tyberon, and will send troops if requested. Waltinua's militarization of the Junivian Line is clearly a direct threat on Tyberon and has been met with rightful force.

The Empire sends a message of thanks to Tahitoa and requests that they put troops into the international expeditionary force which so far consists of J & K if elections go well.

Akari-67%
Haruto-31%

Akari beats Haruto by over double, and there is a huge celebration in Edo. This will be J&Ks first female leader since 1873, and it is widely supported.
