Plus, you'd need to pass through Oceansian, Viking, and Japanese waters or find your own "Northeast" passage north of Finland. Or, if you're sailing from GKE you'd need to either fight your way past the heavily guarded Red Sea, or sail all the way around Africa to reach Gibraltar.

Several military officers and prominent politicians are now being given titles and new dukedoms and earldoms are being created. In Rome Giovanni is still loved by the populace however several of the more extreme policies that Alexios employed while more lenient are still in affect. Support for an alliance with the konclave begins to grow within Giovanni's court as many think that a war with the current western alliance would make the empire a superpower as it would be greatly bolstered by any new territory.

In response to growing tensions with Woodstovia the Reformist Party has pushed a bill through congress banning all Woodstovian trade ships from accessing the Suez Canal or Strait of Gibraltar. All economic sanctions will be lifted when Woodstovia's neutrality is assured or it joins the UWF. In other news, President Ali has announced The Ali Doctrine in response to growing support for Fatmid. It states that Tahitoa will not intervene against any Woodstovian or Oceansian aggressive action against as long as it is not against African or UWF nations, provided that they remain neutral or join the UWF.

Due to the blockade Woodstovia is now signing large trade deals with the konclave as these countries can be accessed by land, this move has increased support for the konclave within Emperor Giovanni's court.

War preparation continued as the fort was filled by more troops. J&K may have easily surrendered last time, but that would not happen now. Across Sweden, Japan, and North France, troops secured and patrolled the areas.

J&K News,
Today the Minister of Defense declared that any ships passing between Japan and the Americas can be searched due to their proximity to J&K territory. Strengthening of troops in Australia has also begun, and J&K ships request to travel through Indonesia.
Although a group of Tyberon radicals tried to kil themselves a few days ago, the government announced that 2 of the radicals had their stomachs pumped and survived. They are currently being investigated as to why they were in Edo. Also involving Tyberon, J&K has announced an entertainment ban on the Konclave.
Tensions rise in Tyberon, and the J&K embassadors in Tyberon are nervous for their safety.

Chancellor Eron looked out of his window, Crowds were gathering around the J and K building throwing stones at the windows and beating up anyone who comes out . He smiled to himself, "Finally, I will do something that Tiberius could never do; Fulfill his father's wish and conqueor the Enemy" he thought. The New Minister of Defense Liden walked into the office with his report, "Sir, The 4th Army has finally made it to the staging areas around Tahitoa, and the 33rd Division awaits the command to drive into sweden upon your command; Over 40 percent of the new recruits have been properly trained and will be going through the special force process. The War industry is also spitting out a surplus of bullets, weapons, and other things; We must act soon otherwise the citizens might be forced to treat the excess bullets as currency with all this spending." he concluded. Eron looked at him with eyes, that have seen many wars and battles, "So its finally here isnt it? That moment that will determine if we belong in this new world or not...." He looked back out of the window at the rioters, "Tell the military to be on their toes but to not attack yet, I want to see if there is any last minute affairs with the Western Alliance."
