Coalition Contact (FAR ATTN ADILINA)

Postby Acroticus » Tue Feb 05, 2013 11:03 am

The past 10 years had seen a huge Turian expansion. After the first contact with the humans of the Republic, Primarch Gharus had ordered the military to expand at a much greater rate, moving forward with plans to expand east. Hundreds of colony ships pushed into a total of 3 new star systems, capturing a total of 11 new planets, and placed colonies on 36 moons. The new minerals were just beginning to flow in when a new Primarch, Hazros, took power he ordered that several more colony ships keep moving east.

The first system Hazros’s forces moved into were led by Gallthus, a powerful military leader who had shown his strength in the First Contact War. He now had tens of thousands of troops under his control, as well as civilian colony ships each containing 100,000 civilian pioneers. He led his men into the Targanus System, a solar system that the Turians had long looked forward to colonizing. Preliminary photographs had shown a group of four rocky planets surrounded the Targanus star, at least one of which very likely had water. And now, with several other systems conquered, this was the next stepping stone.

As normal, the Turian force stopped at the outer most planet, a gas giant the Turians had named Gigras. They landed on one of the moons, a rocky place, but not too big, and not too hot. Gallthus quickly had a base set up on the moon, named Harzia, after the Primarch. From there they would launch more expeditions throughout the rest of that solar system.

However, once the equipment was set up, a radar officer noticed something on the screen. He quickly called Gallthus to a meeting, where he explained there was something else in the system. It appeared that there was some other form of life in the system.

In the same system[nb]
The Armitin teams were just finishing upvthe transplanting of the I'ten people a planet in the system that could support their life. As the vast populations were finally being realeased from their docked colony ships into the pre built infastructure. They were greated by the site of a sizeable city and train network to move them to the dozens of other cities on the planet, many watched as the virtual property they had been clinging to aboard the ship transformed before their eyes into property and a home. The Armitin Federal Republic had this project planned for years to relieve the population issues arrising on the Itin home world. the Armitin people were widely regarded as saint when compared to the other Coalition powers, however whatbthey neglected to tell the transplated population was that half of them had been steralized for good. They figured there was no need to cause a panic so they kept this infomation hidden from the Iten, who were becoming increasingly reliant on Armitin for everything. Even their recent population grow was a side effect of interferance with the race, but atleast they werent glassing the planet or enslaving them like the others would have

[b]Aurora Company, fielding site

Dozens of small barges flowed towards Aurora company Stargate each one holding the crushed up peices of astoriods. These ships were guarded by half a dozen Drone cruisers and frigates and a much larger command ship. Here the Aurora company was dragging back minerals and fuels for the vast coalition economy of course they could care less they were far more interested in the profits they were making.

OoC: will post better one soon just wanted something up.

The readings were not wrong; there was life somewhere in the solar system. And not any small amount of it either. The readings showed millions of life forms, spread out across and entire planet, one of the rocky ones closer to the star. Gallthus was very nervous. He had encountered intelligent alien species once before, and he ended up caught in a civil war. This time he would be very careful.

Gallthus called for two of the best Turian pilots. He commanded them to act as scouts, flying just passed the planet to get readings on the life, and discover whether it was a sentient species, or just another planet with boatloads of fish and bugs. The pilots left immediately; the Turians listened to their orders without question. The pilots were to be flying a T-37 Sentinel Class Turian ship, a small, fast, well shielded vessel; the perfect machine for scouting missions. While it was equipped with only weak weapons, its shield and speed gave it a certain safety that many ships lacked.

It would still be another day before the second group of colony ships was to arrive, with more troops as well. Gallthus sent a message back to Palaven, explaining the situation, and asking that the Hierarchy might want to hold the second group of colony ships back until after they knew what they were dealing with. However, Hazros was confident, and nearly three hours later, Gallthus received a message that the colony ships would continue on schedule. He did, however, allow for a slightly larger escort, which Gallthus believed was good news.

Gallthus was a hardened warrior, having served in some of the more extreme units in the Turian army, including several that were considered suicidal. Still, he had survived 23 years in the military service, so he believed he was doing something right. He looked down at a map of the Targanus System, planning the best places to colonize next. There was another gas giant next to Gigras, with moons that could certainly hold a colony. However, the Turians had plenty of these gaseous planets, and they were not going to be running low on any of the important elements any time soon. And so Gallthus looked towards the rocky planets. The one furthest from the star, Targanus, definitely could not sustain life. It was terribly cold, and there was no preliminary evidence of water. The third planet from Targanus was interesting, as it could possibly contain life. It was a dreary looking planet, but there was liquid water near the center of the planet, with the rest of the planet having access only to ice. The second planet from the sun looked even more promising. It was green, which suggested either a lot of neon in the atmosphere, or, more likely, vegetation. It was on this planet that the signal of the life forms had been coming from.

The Armitin 2nd Commadore watched from aboard his Kali Class Carrier, a fine if not outdated craft, the progress of the Mass Population transplant. The I'Ten people had to be moved in mass before overcrowding became a serious problem so a world which could quickly sustain life with minimal effort was choosen and see has how the Aurora Company was all ready operating within range this planet was choosen. Within a few months basic habitual structures had been erected by drones and crews. When the colony ships had arrived most of the Homes and land had already been divided up amonst the I'Ten people via what they could aford with a few hundred Acres garunteed for those who couldnt. the planet was only mildly suited to life most of it was frozen and only beginning to Thaw out from the work of Teraforming Pumps which filled the Air with green house gases. a Special Plankton had been introduced to the planet has well so the planet wasnt overwhelmed by so many new Oxygen breathing people.

down below Flying in Lynx and Panther Transports launched from the planet side airfields Teams of Armitin Spartans made sure some of the planets simple but carnivorous wild life was far away from the two dozens settlements spread out around the Planet. in the Atmoshpere Tiger Class Landers brought even more colonist to the planets services so they could finally touch the property they bought nearly four months ago. As Armitin Men guided them off the transports each and every person received a vacine and other medicines for surviving in this new biosphere, mixed in with the Vacines was a steralizing agent that would quell the orginal issue the I'ten had with Over population. Of course the Iten had not been informed of this and many wouldnt know until much later they could have kids but the Armitin deamed it nessicary and their "saintly" acts outwieghed the morality of it.

A battlegroup from the 4th fleet patrolled a system in the same constellation while its ground forces set up Bases and Staging points in the system. aboard a Cerberus Battlecruiser the 4th Admiral Sat aboard his ship and monitered all the operations in the region, Colonizing planets, establishing bases, studying new bioshperes and resource aquisition being handled by Aurora company. all these thing together had called for the 4th fleet to be deployed to this far out region and now they were spread out estblishing control over it.

The scouts returned later that day with news. The planet was inhabited by intelligent life forms. Even worse, they appeared to have ships and soldiers with them; a complete nightmare for Gallthus. Because of their stealth capabilities, both scouts made it away safely. It appeared that these other life forms were unaware of the Turians existence, and that gave Gallthus the advantage.

Once the second colony ship arrived, with an envoy of a battleship and several frigates, he began to plan. He first sent a message back to Palaven, asking the Primarch what his move was. Palaven quickly responded that the Turians were to attempt peace with this new civilization, and ordered Gallthus not to attack. Primarch Hazros did, however, agree to send extra ships; the battleship Arghios, along with several retainer ships, was leaving the Rebia system, and heading to the Targanus System. While Gallthus believed that attacking would be a better move, he listened to the Primarch. A message was sent on several frequencies to the alien fleet. It requested peace, and asked for a meeting with its leaders.

Gallthus had a bad feeling about these foreigners, but there was little he could do.

The second colony ship passed Gigras, landing on the first rocky planet, a frozen wasteland, with no water. It was named Chardradus, after an ancient Turian queen. Here, the Turian troops began to set up a temporary base of operations for the colony. Gallthus himself made the trip to Chardradus later that day, meeting with the officers there and explaining the situation.

PX-762
The 2nd commadore was surprised when the young Communications officer reported an unkown transmission. It took Erent a moment of thought before he decided on a course of action. The orders were given a transmission was to be sent back towards these "aliens" while a dozen Drone Fighters were to be delpoyed to sweep the area directly around the planet.

Greeting, We are of the Armitin State, a country in the Coalition. We wish to talk to your leader and the possibility of diplomacy. But I muat ask why are you out here we have not detected any other life forms before during scouting operations?
-Commadore, Erent

Once the repsonse was sent to the aliens Erent had a message and IW/FOS sent though 4th space to the Admiral of this area. The bridge had come alive with activity as scanners wete doubled checked and Drone Fighters were preped should this turn sour the Armitin 4th fleet would not be caught off guard again. Orders were also being relayed towards the Spartans on the ground and the decision to not tell the Iten of their possible invasion was made by Erent himself. While most of the bridged which was neasled deep in the ship was alive with activity Erent was paying particular attention if the Scans Officer. After what felt like a life time he jumped up, shouting he found some ships before he had to stablize him self in the 0 g enviroment. It was displayed on the command console that Erent had direct access to and he began studing the layout.

Fourth Fleet Temporary Fielding
The 4th Admiral who commanded this segment of the dishonored 4th fleet was shocked when the IW/FOS came though. However the commander wasnt about to let another inncident come up so he disregaded the FOS part and had all forces put standby but he ordered the closest group of ships to fly in on their warp drives and support Erent.

Gallthus stood in the main base on Chardradus , listening to the message again and again. Several Turain linguists were applying their algorithm that had helped the Turians uncover the foreign language of Russian. However, this language appeared to be more complex, and the Turians simply could not put the words together.

Meanwhile, the defenses on Chardradus were up and running. Several large Turian cannons were pointed towards space, looking for an enemy fleet. Thorough radar had been activated, and the Turians knew where every living thing was on the planet (All of them within the Turian base camp).
Gallthus ordered that a response be sent to the aliens:

“Your language is foreign to us; we cannot understand. Please try again.”

Just then, Gallthus received a message from his fleet; there were more ships in the system. The aliens apparently had their own fleet. Gallthus quickly ordered the rest of his ships to move forward from Gigras to Chardradus, to make a line for the aliens not to cross. He would not be flanked.

Once agian all atention in the bridge was on the newest communication officer once again he report a message that was still a jumbled mess so the Commadore decided to have another message sent. this time the number of languages the message was sent into included all those in the ships database including Russian
I repeat.Greetings, We are of the Armitin State, a country in the Coalition. We wish to talk to your leader and the possibility of diplomacy. We are currently preforming missions all though out the region and we would like to talk to those who live here.
-Commadore, Erent

the Commadore was a little nervous he only had three ships with him the Carrier and two cruisers with him the nearest force was a few days away from him and he couldnt be expected to hold out in sizeable force with what he had.

The Turian linguists listened to the new messages over and over again, until one of them recognized the Russian. Farios was a linguist who had been taught Russian in his service while working with the Republics. He quickly relayed the message to Gallthus.

Gallthus thought long and hard about what his plan would be. He sent a message Palaven, asking for advice, but it wouldn’t be until the end of the day when Palaven returned his message, and he officially had the power to make the next decision. Gallthus had been among the first to fight the Vecorapotors in the Republics during the First Contact War. The Vecoraptors had caught the Republics’ forces by surprise, while they were meeting with the Turians, and the Turians were pulled into a battle, and eventually had to send more forces, dragging the Turian Hierarchy into a war that stunted expansion and cost the government a lot. He began to make a plan to prevent another entrapment.

“Send a message back to the alien fleet, in Russian. Tell them that we would like to meet them, on the moon of this planet (Chardradus). Let them know that the moon is uninhabited, but that we will have a small station on the southern side where we can meet. Be sure to stress that they may bring whatever number of soldiers they feel comfortable with, but the station is quite small.”
Gallthus then turned to one of his officers, Narshus:

“Narshus, prepare 20 of your best men. They will be accompanying me to Chardradus’s moon. And get the rest of your men on the battleship. Prepare them for battle. Also, have the frigates surround the moon. If something goes wrong, we will not be caught off guard.”

Gallthus left the room to prepare for his trip to the moon. He wondered for just a second what these aliens would be like; whether they would resemble the Turians themselves, or be spongy like the humans, or be horribly violent like the Vecoraptors. But these thoughts quickly passed, and Gallthus continued fiddling with his armor.

The Kali Class Carrier was still in orbit above the planet along with two Angel Class Cruisers awaiting the Commadores orders. Aboard the Kali the Commadore read over the commanders console inside the bridge, The most recent message worried the Commadore but his own xenophobia and paranioa was being swept under the table by the Civilian Diplomat. The Commadore was annoyed about this particular mans lack of concern, but It was common practice in Armitin and Duran to have civilian oversight on all military operations. however the Commadore was more worried about remaining viligant while the Diplomat was more worried about publicity. "I cannot allow a team to be sent over there. We do not know anything about these strangers not to mention they are clearly a FTL nation which means they could be a danger to the coalition." The Overseer simple shook his head saying "the last six, Six species have been willing join the coalition and your still worried about being attacked? That just paranoia talking" The commadore cringed at the mans flawed logic "Sir, the Coalition has been to war with an alien force before its not unheard of and we should not throw caution to the wind." the civilian simply rolled his eyes "A war started by Alidinas own aggresion these species are not attacking us and they want diplomatic talks. Clearly your just to blind to see that they are not hostile. It is simply your own paranoia to think that other races would be interested in fighting." the Commadore could only sigh "fine Ill order a transport to the location, choose someone to conduct the diplomacy." While the Diplomatic advisor nodded his head and left the Commadore could only worry.

A message was sent back agreeing to the meeting place. An Hour later a a small Panther class Transport craft speed off onboard was two Spartans and a Diplomat who had to tange along with the advisor to help smooth the Iten transplant. The Small craft Arrived a few hours later at the moon and sent a broadcast for clearance to land, once the broadcast was accepted they drifted down towards the site.

OoC add a discription of the place in your next post. Spartans are just the Coalition name for Marines.

Gallthus’s transport approached the station. It was a very small station, with only two airlocks, a bedroom, and a room large enough to hold about 50 people. It was going to be an observatory before other life was discovered in the system, and the astronomers were pulled from the sight. A small gray box, Gallthus was not very happy that this would be the first impression of the new species. But then again, he thought, they would never leave the station to talk about it, so he guessed it was okay.

Gallthus left his little transport, walking into the station. With him he had two troopers and a linguist, all of whom were armed with Phaeston plasma/energy based assault rifles. The linguist understood Russian, and Gallthus hoped that someone from the aliens’ side would also be fluent in that language. Gallthus himself had a pistol strapped around his waist. On his other hip, he had a small remote control with only one button on it. If he pushed the button, the frigates would destroy the alien transport, and then attack the rest of the alien fleet.

The pilot kept check his intsurments to make sure his bird was operating how it was suppose to, just like the Acadamy had taught him to. The pilot went the last minute checks before gliding smoothly towards the small stations hanger. Once he was locked in place he gave the all clear to his three passangers and settle back to in his chair appreciating a race that wasnt to cheap to not have artifical gravity.

His passengers quickly made their way out small transport and took stock of their surronding the small station was hardly fitting for diplomacy but it would have to do. With a nod to the two Spartans, both Armed with VorTech Heavy Carbines, the diplomat strolled forward towards the only room that could reasonable host the two nations diplomats.

Gallthus watched as the humans entered the office. They looked as he remembered them; spongy and pink; not strong bodies for war. He was glad of this, since any Turian would be able to beat this squishy species in hand to hand combat. The diplomat was not an exemplary of his species; he looked to be thin and weak. His guards surrounding him appeared more fit to lead, but even they would, if based on merit, bow to Gallthus.

Gallthus began speaking, and the linguist translated his words into Russian:

“Good human, we hope this was not too inconveniencing for you. We Turians have been cautious of your kind since we first met them nearly a decade ago. It has been ordered that we be very careful when interacting with alien species. As it is, we would like to ask you a few questions. How it is you reached the Targanus Solar System? Is this your home world, or are you spread elsewhere?”

Gallthus stopped speaking. Had he been speaking to another Turian leader, he would have been attacked speaking like that. However, he hoped that the humans would believe that this is simply how the Turians spoke, clear cut, which wasn’t untrue. Gallthus had never attempted a secret assault before. Sure, he had done “dark” missions, but never involving any sort of diplomacy.

The diplomat gave a short nod toward the alien when he entered the room out of respect, however he wasnt much impressed with the Xeno to him he was just another Alien and no more impossing than a Teverian. The Two guards were fairly lax though, they hadnt seen combat since they joined the Spartans Force four years ago. after the Xeno asked his question the diplomat thought for a moment before speaking "No we are simply helping another species move to this system and are only preforming basic operations out here. We hail from the Coalition which is Galactic north of here if you center the longest arm of the galaxy in the south." The man never gave even the slightest hint that he was lying "My nation, The Armitin Federation is interest in trade and possible relations with your own state. If i may ask why are you here and where do you hail from?"

The pilot was fiddeling with cards inside the cabin quietly awaiting for this bit of diplomacy to finish up. While the men inside had gotten complacent with all the succesive diplomatic missions he was still a classic paranoid pilot. So when he started to notice the alien frigates moving around him he activated the engines and released the docking mags out of years of experince and instinct. He wouldnt float away obviously, his ship vector was still aligned with the stations but he wasnt technically attached to the station anymore. Truth be told he agreed with the commodore, he didnt trust the aliens either and paranoia was grinding at his nerves. even with his own paranoia kicking into overdrive he didnt budge the ship an inch he still had mates inside and the Armitin mandate of "never leave a man behind" wasnt a simply publicity stunt it was a common feeling shared by every man and women from Armia.

OoC All Coalition members are racist though they will never outright admit it and will only refer to people as alien and xeno in their private conversation. mind if I let the pilot escape? Also just assume that the longest arm is located in the south since that would be an easy universal thing to base everything off.

Yes the diplo. Speaks russian read the Coalition Tab below to see what languages would reasonably be in the coalition.

Gallthus watched as the diplomat spoke. He did not like this man, not that he liked any humans. They seemed slimy. Once he heard what the diplomat was saying, he was immediately confused. He claimed that his Coalition was to the north, directly next to where the Turian strongholds were. It was very weird that the Turians had not seen them. There was the very apt possibility that this slimy man was lying. Still, it didn’t matter to Gallthus. He knew the Turians would set up observatories as soon as they captured Farsus (OOC: your Iten planet).

When the man finished talking, Gallthus sighed. He stretched his back, and placed his hands on his hips, pushing the button. The three Turian soldiers immediately raised their weapons and fired.

OOC: Yes, your pilot may escape. Is it ok if I invade Farsus, your Iten planet? First I will battle with your space ships if you like. Besides this, I need to know how many ships you have, so please post them in your next post. Here is what I have:
1 Battleship(also acts as a carrier)
7 Frigates
2 Carriers with fighters
11 Corvettes
10 transports
Number of ground units: 200,000

The Lynx pilot had already been nervous about the whole thing so he was paying close attention to the comm channels and the diplomatic teams vital signs by using their implants and gear. When he heard the gunshots and screams over the comms he called out though the Lynx based Comm. he watched in horror as their vitals flatlined the pilot feared the worst and adrinline filled his system. His natural flight or fight repsponse took charge and the pilot slamed the small Lynx away from the station to aviod fire. he had to silence his base instincts and remain calm if he was going to survive so he began evasive maneuvors to aviod the Imidiate fire from the firgates. Once he was past the most their CIWS he began broadcasting the SOS signals and UA signals towards origin.

Commodore Blant roared out in rage at the Data reports streamed in though the Tac Net System and told tgeir tale. he was not shocked by the motion he was outraged and he would have blood. Their act had sealed their fate, Armitin would wage war to avenge this attroicty and smash every ounce of hope from those who would deviate form the codes of war. Blant gave out orders and sent out the Data reports to his commander and the Press Assclocation back on Adin, the entire coalition would know of this atroicty before Adin even made a full turn.

The two Angel Class cruisers had been aligning themselfs up to warp when the SOS came in and once he did neither Cruiser hesitated to make the jump using the System Wide Drive (SWD). Both ships came off the SWD 150 km from the Lynx and 180 Km from the station and its frigates. Blue lightning arced across the ship as the reminant energy from the 4th D drive cooled off, bathing the harsh, bland look of warships in pale blue light, like avenging angels of old. the inside of the ship hummed with the quiet purpose of work, as all the crew wanted was revenge for their fallen comrades. The ships external systems were coming on line mere moments after the jump each one already being activated and manned the second it was able to. Two hydrolic pistons pulled them self away from their container dragging tons of gas with them from the Sealed rotate chamber and from this motion the gases inbetween the railguns Core and its encasing began stiring. With the combined push effort of two pairs of pistons the air began spiraling inside rotating the battery to its exact position, with no friction at all. in the ships reacotr Ayen was collided at the speed of light and turned into pure energy which was tranfered from the reactor to the capacitor, from here the Railgun batteired drew it in to their capacitors. Massive banks of electricity were packed into the railguns smaller capacitors before it was discharged though the railings, flinging a 300,000 pound Slug of iron at 16,000 m/s. Then another was loaded and fired.

In the pure silence of space all 12(6 per cruiser) 80 inch guns fired dozens of rounds a minute filling the void with a near wall of Iron. The ships computer was taking careful aim to aviod the Lynx and put as many rounds on target as possible and with the the enemy being within optimal range most rounds would be accuarcte to within 7%

OoC yeah you can invade the planet. These above numbers are taken from RL sources and scaled to the ships sizes concord gave us the ships should be firing "normal" sized rounds for the FAR universe

Ships
1 Kali class carrier
2 Angel class cruisers
3 frigates
31 Transports

during battle post all ways do a recap
Recap
•Lynx went around the frigates near it and flew towards the mother fleet
•Two angel class cruisers warped in at 180km to your station and the ships near it
•Both ships began firing 300,000 lb rounds at 16,000 m/s at 12 RPM.
•Kali cruiser stay near the Iten planet

Gallthus stepped back onto the battleship, Hagare. There, he met with Narshas.

“Sir, our troops are ready for a ground invasion of the planet.”

“Wonderful, Narshas. However, first we need to defeat their fleet.”

Gallthus turned towards the window. He watched as the frigates moved closer and closer to the alien carriers, before the carriers opened fire. It appeared that they were using some sort of metal based weaponry, the kind that the Turians had long since abandoned. The Turian military focus for a long time had been armor; building it, refining it, breaking it. It was all about protecting oneself, and one’s own fleet. For this reason, metal based weapons had been abandoned hundreds of years ago, and been declared outdated.

The frigates formed into their positions; a small group up front, supported by a larger group in the rear. It was a formation meant to act as an unbreakable wall, as the front ships kept their shields at full power, allowing for the rear frigates to take aim and charge their weapons for the best shots. As the front shields began to weaken, they would fall back, much like a pack of birds, to allow a new frigate with fresh shields to move up front.

Not expecting the metal based weaponry to do much damage, the first frigates allowed the missiles to hit their shields. The metal clashed with the force of the Turian shields, and the electric boost revealed itself, almost ridding the lead frigate of all its shields. Having sustained serious damage to its shield, the frigate began to fall back, as the formation opened fire. The two(the third falling back) frigates leading the charge focused on intercepting the shots, first by firing their cannons, and, if that failed, they would concentrate their shields where necessary.

The four frigates behind these opened fire, blasting plasma shots at the enemy’s hull. Plasma was used in the Turian army because it was very good at breaking an enemy’s armor. Turians found it very difficult to defend against these kinds of weapons, and since they had begun to use plasma based weapons nearly 150 years ago, they had not discovered a way to make armor so as to defend against it.

The two carriers headed up the sides of the formations. With weak weapons, but powerful shields, the carriers were inviting targets, but by no means easy ones. The fighters had been scrambled, and groups of Turian pilots flew from the hangars to lead the fleet there in safety.

The corvettes, which had stayed back, were sent in to shore up the rear, and make their way to the front to create continuous fire. With weaker shields, these corvettes usually focused on dodging shots, rather than blocking them. Still, at the front lines, they had powerful plasma cannons that could match those of a frigate, although fewer.

“There, bring us in,” Gallthus ordered. He pointed to the side of the alien cruisers. The Turian battleship, the only one in the system, would come in from the side, and force the carriers either to retreat, or be caught in the planets gravity, and become relatively immobilized. The few fighters in the Hagare battleship were scattered, and guided the massive Turian war machine towards the enemy.

Recap:

The Frigates and carriers formed formation(redundant, no?).

One unsuspecting frigate had its shield damaged and fell back, but is being replaced by another via their formation.

The carriers moved up either side (there are only two carriers) with scrambled fighters guiding them.

The Hagare Battlship is moving towards the alien carriers from the side, trying to force a retreat or push the carriers into the nearest planets orbit.

The corvettes move in to support the frigate/carrier formation

OoC my Carrier isnt with the two cruisers.

IC
The two Angel Class cruisers had kept their side by side formation together under the return barrage from the enemy. Realizing the streagth of their defenses the two ships began concentrating all their fire on a single point to destroy one of the smaller ships(frigates) before it could retreat back into the formation. Once the Lynx was pulled into one of the Angels simple hanger bays by the Mag seal, both ships began realigning them selves for a SWD jump. both captains wanted to punish the xenos for this but they resigned to the fate that this was a rescue ops for the Lynx and nothing more. Still they kept a steady stream of concentrated fire on a single ships to try and bring one down before they made the jump back to the Iten world and the Carrier.

The Plasma bolts fired from the enemy ships blasted straight into the Durium armor realeasing pinpoint energy and heat into it. Durium a metal long since renowned for its Energy absorbance if not its moths hardness was employed on every coalition ship in place of shields since they had long since forgoed trying to stop the shield pericing capabilities of their prefered weapons. The plasmas direct energy barely warmed the durium up but the heat from the plasma rounds faired far better in damaging it. Howeve as each bolt of plasma unleashed its pent up energy and heat, the heat began slagging the outer edges of the durium plate melting their way through. as the armors tempeture reached a certain point coolant flooded the relieve grid sandwiched between the durium plate and Tungsten plate. This emergancy feature slowed the effects the plasma weapondry was having on the armor by transferring the heat from the durium into the coolant and towards the radiators. The Armors unique properties and the well engineered ships coupd by the ships enough time to make an escape. Dozens of focused beam Laser CIWS systems began targeting any fighter that got near and would attempt to melt it into slag with conctrated or just sustained fire from the fast tracking CIWS.

Commodore Blant was still aboard his Carrier which had stay near the Iten planet. Blants glared at the Data reports as they flooded in from the battle happening a few light minutes away. He was paying close attention to how they operated their ships and used their weapons so has to find ways to counter it later on but for not he would watch. He had given the order early to withdrawn as many people as possible back aboard the transports which had still been unloading people from the population insert. He was using it as an emergancy evacuation now which had upset the population but he wasnt giving them much choice.

Recap
picked the Lynx up and now the cruisers are realigning them selfs.so they can warp out of there and escape.

I assumed you meant cruisers earlier since the carreir never join the fight.

At the begining of the next post they will be back near the Iten planet for the general retreat from the system.

OOC: Yes, every time I said carrier there I meant cruiser. Am now going to say it correctly.

Gallthus watched from the deck of the Hagare Battleship as the alien cruisers retreated. Plasma weapons appeared to be effective against this enemy; luck of the draw. Gallthus knew their plan. The aliens would retreat back to their planet in this system, where they would either prepare for a complete retreat, or activate their planets defenses. Either way, Gallthus was ready. Several of the Frigates had taken heavy hitting during the battle, but none had anything in need of repair other than their shield generators.

The ship then received a message from the homeworld of Palaven. Palaven had not known of Gallthus’s plans to attack the aliens, and he was nervous as he read their message. When he finished, he let out a chuckle. The Primarch had ordered him to attack the alien threat, and destroy it. More to the point, the Primarch had mobilized the entire 2nd fleet, moving it towards the Targanus System. They would arrive most likely the next day. In the meantime, Gallthus was to lead the invasion of the alien planet.

Gallthus ordered his ships to follow the cruisers; he would not give them much time to prepare. And he ordered Narshas and his men to prepare for the invasion.

OOC:

The Turian fleet is following the cruisers in an attempt to force a continued retreat.

The Cruisers were aligned and now they were heading back toward the main fleet.

Most of the transports were already back in space when Erent got a message from the Iten representive demanding to know what happened. Erent was about to expalin to him when the civilian advisor told him "Commodore we do not need to shake the Iten faith in us if they believe we turned tail and ran they could cause problems later, silence the Alien and speed this up" the man was clearly more fearful for himself than the Iten and was only trying to save his PR. The Commodore sinple nodded his head and open the channel towards the iten minister "There are hostile Aliens in this system and they have engaged us in orbit we are trying to evacuate your people in time but I dont know how long we can hold. **** it Minister they are targeting the capitol building." By good timing the Angel class cruisers had come back into the task force, so to silence the man once and for all and to add crediblity to his words he ordered the Angel cruiser to fire a single round at the Iten government building. No question were ask and the deed was done, worst part was no Iten would ever know the humans fired the shot and the Armitin people would never know they commited the atrocity in their name. The conversation with the Iten rep would be on public record for all to hear but the orders would be deleted and classifed ending any hope this would get out.

Now that the task force was together they used their combined 4th D drives to go FTL and leave the system carrying along with them half a billion Iten and leaving the rest to fend for themselves.

OoC the people from the coalition can be real pricks sometimes. Dont expect the Itens to believe you if you try and deny it.

The Hagare Battleship led the formation, as the carriers followed behind. The frigates created a perimeter around the planet, as the Hagare prepared to land. Narshas and his men were waiting in the docking bay, ready to lead the invasion. The Hagare had its shields on full power, as Gallthus was unsure as to what defenses the planet would have. Turians usually used a plasma based net defense around the planet, and so Gallthus was preparing himself for a similar weapon. As the Turian battleship approached the planet, the Hagare prepared to land.

OOC: sorry for small post. Next one will be longer.

Recap:

The Frigates formed a protective perimeter around the planet.

The Hagare Battleship prepared to land.

Dust and smoke was still in the air from where the brand new capitol building had ben destroyed by the aliens. All around the unearthly skinny and lanky aliens layed on the ground like crumpled heaps of blue twigs. Shall'Tar was one of these who had felt the destructive force of the attack nearly 50 blocks had been completely destoryed and all he could do was lay there and groan in pain. He was lying on his back looking up at the sky when he noticed strange colors up there, it took a moment for gim to realize their attackers were coming for their spoils.

7 task groups of the 4th fleet had all ready gathered nearly 31 Prime ships and numerous Sub Ships at the center of the Fleet was the pride of the Armitin 4th a Tiamat Class Super carrier. The Admiral was aboard his massive Tiamat Carrier trying to decide on action with the leaders back home, eventually he just shut off the communication and ignored their petty squablling, he knew what needed to be done.

A group of Electronic Cruisers west orineted of the Iten relocation planet began scanning for Communication frequencies to start the first stage of war.

OoC recap
1. Planets defenseless, will be some local resistant that you can put down at your leisure.
2. Using Iten planet as a centeral point.
3. Large group of ships in the same constellation as the Iten planet are gathering.
4. Electronic Cruiser(stealthy, ships hard to detectunless actively Ewaring) west of the Iten planet. Im going to cut off communication with your home territory in the next post. Ok with you?

Narshas

The Hagare battleship pushed through the atmosphere. As it approached the ground, it lowered its shields, and prepared to land. Gallthus left the main deck, heading towards the docking bay. Gallthus hoped to get some of this own glory against these aliens.

Meanwhile, Narshas prepared his men for battle. Narshas himself was a renown soldier. He had helped put down a small rebellion on Menae several years ago. His unit was one of few who had seen fighting in the past, as the expansion had been relatively peaceful. However, once a Turian got a taste of fighting, few wanted to stop.

As the doors opened, Narshas, and about 100 other men, leapt from the ship. Still 20 miles in the air, they free fell down to the planet, releasing several jets from their armor to slow them down as they approached the ground.

Narshas and he men rushed into the nearby ruins. The Turian plan had been to invade the largest city on the planet, assumed the capital, to show dominance. However, it had appeared that city had been blown to pieces.

“All the better,” Narshas thought. “There would be little resistance.” Narshas and his men charged through the smoke and falling pieces of rubble. There, a Turian physically saw the aliens for the first time. Thin, scrawny, and blue in complexion, these creatures were not at all impressive looking. Narshas was surprised that they had been able to build these sorts of cities at all.

On Narshas’s helmet, a camera relayed the images back to the Hagare. There, the pilots sent it to Gallthus, who was preparing to lead his men. Gallthus analyzed the aliens, and quickly sent a message to Narshas:

“They are weak, and will be barely useful, even as slaves. Destroy as many as you can.”

Back on the planet, which the Turians named Aggrus, Narshas and his men opened fire. The Hagare reached within a mile of the ground, and another 100,000 Turian men left the ship to aid Narshas, equipped with vehicles, and a temporary mobile base. The battleship then headed across the planet, opening fire on urban areas as they went.

As the battle raged on Aggrus, the 3rd Turian Fleet reached the Targanus System. With 25 fully equipped major ships(major ships being battleships, dreadnaughts, frigates, ect), the 3rd fleet set down on Chardradus, as to have a safe area from which to launch attacks.

OOC Recap:

Hagare battleship entered the atmosphere.

100,000 Turian soldiers invaded the remains of the capital and area around.

Hagare left to reach the other side of the planet, firing plasma shots at urban areas as it goes.

The 3rd fleet reached the system, and began to land on a nearby planet.

It is ok to cut communications. But it will just mean the Turians will send more ships....

Fielding
Armitin Ships were bracing for action but the Admiral repeatedly realed them in, He was worried about what kind of forces they may have arrayed by now to defend the planet. Eventually the combined Scanning power of their ships gave them a clear picture of the enemy ships, the Admiral weighed his options and evntually gave the order to the fleet. Moments later a sizeable chunk of the 4th fleet was on its way to retake the planet.

Iten planet
The Iten people were terrifed of the invaders has they attacked them for no apparent reason, and this caused many of the survivors to panic and flee. However a few grabbed some Vortech and powdered rifles thatbthey had either taken with them or were being soled for self defense in the city. Those few who formed a militia grabbed their rifles and fired pack at the invaders hoping to make them fall back in surprise. One of the Iten took a direct hit from a plasma weapon and thanks in part to his bony hide got right back up and started firing again, his brothers were so lucky and the plasma would strike their small vital organs and not their bony arms or upper chest.

West of Itens
the commadore ove rthe electronic ships was pleased when he found the transmission the aliens were using and his first response was to began dropping Drone Jammers, Small hide to detect Machines that could stop transmissions in a small 2 light year square area. The ships ppaned to drop dozens to make an all encompasing net. It would only take a few hours to set up but it would test the aliens supply network.

Stargate; Kyrn Zone

The Iten population had carried on to the Stargate station were the locals tried to tend to all of them but there were to many and they were forced to ration. 4 corporate transports came in through the Stargate filled to the brim with mercenaries ment to garrison company holding. That wasnt the only thing that had come through supplies and parts for installation were being sent to supply a long te engagement and a watch post in this region.

OoC recap
My fleet will be there in the next post
•1 Tiamat Carrier(more of a support and command ship)
•1 Bahumat Battleship(comparable to dreadnoughts in other fleets)
•16 Cerberus battle Cruiser(heavy duty warships)
•2 angel cruisers(not the same ones)
•5 Kitzune Cruiser(long range ships)
•5 electronic Cruisers(expect Statis webifers that slow down movement of ships, ion and emp like weapons etc etc each one specialized though so they all cant do the same thing)
•1 Kali Carrier
31 in all
Bringing in Garrison forces for corporate facilites(mines, outpost etc)

Bringing in part to construct Early warning arrays, deep scanning facilites, and outpost parts.

Oh and the Iten and shoot back with "Lethal" airguns and Hunting rifles + Aim for the head or lower torso everything else is so scrawny or bony theres nothing there to brun and shoot. The Vortech airguns will hurt and could break bones and crush organs even through the armor (its just a vibration so the vibration is transfered to the armor which might make it worse but they wont kill unless its a lucky shot or someone cant get medical attention. they are geared for human on human combat so I expect Less Than Steller Preformance From Them.

There is only a 6 dozen make shift militia itens. Crush them ay your leisure they die like all the others you have cut down.

Narshas and his shock troopers took cover as the Iten militia opened fire. Analyzing the shots as they flew by, Narshas was prepared to lead an attack. With a swift motion of his arm, he led 15 men in a charge. The Iten fired upon them, but the Turians were quick. The shots landed nearby, throwing dust into the air. The Turian helmets allowed them to easily see through the dust, and they continued their charge, once closer, they opened fire. At such a close range, the plasma shots tore through the Itens’ bodies, ripping them apart.

As Narshas and his men examined the dead bodies, several more Iten opened fire from a nearby building. Narshas took cover, but one Turian was hit. Agasthus was his name, Narshas knew him. He was a young soldier, certainly not a good one. He slipped up constantly, and Narshas knew that he could never be a great soldier. Still, Narshas felt some regret he had not seen the attack, as multiple vibration shots hit the Turian’s body, tearing through his armor and his skin.

Narshas looked over as reinforcements arrived. One Turian carried a large Phaeston Turret VI, a very powerful portable weapon. The Turian fired on the building, and the bullets tore through the building. Chunks of stone and metal dropped as the building fell apart. With his men regrouped, Narshas led his hundred shock troopers into the depths of the city.

The Iten fled before the Turians, who charged into battle against them firing wildly. Several Iten were captured for study, and sent back to the base, which was being set up just outside the city. Narshas and his men, who were joined by 100,000 retainers, cleared out the remaining buildings of the city, capturing nearly 10,000 Iten, as well as a small library of books that would be useful in decoding their language, military, and culture.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the planet, Gallthus led his own men into battle against an Iten city. Having taken several blows from the Hagare battleship’s main cannons, the city lacked any proper defenses, and Gallthus found the local resistance pathetic. Gallthus and his men quickly captured the city, as he sent another group to capture secure the nearby rubbles of another city blown apart by the Hagare.
The 3rd Turian Fleet finished its base preparations on Chardradus, and moved towards the Iten planet to release the massive reserves it carried with it. Millions of Turian soldiers prepared to invade the Iten planet.

The Homeworld of Palaven, Cipritine

In the Turian Capital of Cipritine, Primarch Hazros spoke with his advisors.

“Great Primarch, it is necessary to make the proper maneuvers. From the footage we received from the battle in Targanus, this enemy is certainly a powerful foe.”

“And what would you suggest, Jarmus? We have sent an entire fleet. With the spirit of the third on their side, Gallthus will lead the men to victory.”

“You place too much faith in one soldier. I suggest you send the 11th.”

“The 11th? The 11th is our smallest and newest fleet. It has no spirit of battle yet. Why would I send the 11th?”

“Send the eleventh, great Primarch, but not to Targanus. Send it to the Acturis system to the North. It was there we were planning on expanding into eventually anyway. There we can gain the proper position to aid our defenses in the Targanus system.”

“Very interesting,” Hazros thought for a few seconds, and the room lay silent. “Very well. Send the 11th. We will have these aliens defeated, I swear it.”

OOC:

Recap:

Turian forces continue to capture cities on the Iten Planet.

Turian 3rd Fleet finishes setting up its bases on Chardradus, the planet nearest the Iten Planet.

Turian 3rd Fleet:

4 Frigates

6 Cruisers
2 Carriers
6 Destroyers
2 Dreadnoughts
2 Heavy Cruisers

25 ships in total plus

7 frigates
2 carriers
1 battleship

already int he system.

The 11th fleet moves towards a nearby system.
