When tensions broke out between the Nationalists and the Libertairians he choose side of the Libertairians. When they split apart he joined the military branch and became Colonel.

dragoons and cavalry might have carbines. Or some kind of lighter rifle, and officers might carry something lighter, right?

Indeed, cavalry units would have carbine versions of the rifle.

With very little left to lose, he turned to mercenary work. Also a very good friend of the Neu Engollon Gennaro Bolacci.

Bio: Born into the Rossadan Aristocracy Isaac's family (The Malkarianiks) were forced to leave during the civil war and looked to Treko as a safe place for them to make a new life for themselves under a new name. Isaac's mother died young of Typhus and his father became an unemployed drunk but before any of this happened Isaac was sent to a prestigious boarding school where he learned how to become a doctor. However as Isaac entered the final stages of his Medical training, already being known as a genius of the trade, his identity was discovered and Maleadraedic's father and his younger siblings were violently slaughtered in their sleep with support from the local nationalists as they did not report the family's death and attempted to prevent the spread of rumors about their death. Isaac returned home to find his family dead and pledged to fight against whoever had killed them. After becoming a doctor Maleadraedic used his title to publish a book on the Nationalist regime and was captured by authorities and tortured, having his lower left leg ripped off and his back scarred. As the crisis began Maleadraedic was quickly recruited.
