All of you shut up and knock it off with the OOC in my thread. UIR, you had more than fifteen ships and if you cuss at Terra again I'll report you for flaming. Terra, stop baiting him. Now, start doing some IC stuff or I will be extremely frustrated.

It happened almost instantly, however, most of those who hadn't retreated from the scene of a soon-to-be battle would have seen the entirety of the Transoxthraxian Home Command Navy appear out of Supra-Space, in one, giant flash of lights. The navy, which numbered fifty one ships, also contained precious cargo. Aboard the biggest of the ships was a dreadnought, bigger than a normal dreadnought, and painted in a deep red rather than the standard Transoxthraxian deep blue, and the only Transoxthraxian ship to boast a shield generator, which was experimental. Around it was the biggest fleet of Transoxthraxian ships ever assembled. All kinds of ships, ranging from the smallest Frigates to the biggest and most dominating dreadnoughts.

The God-King has arrived. Bow to his splendor.

Nd'Jamnud bowed to one knee when he saw the transmission, as well as the rest of the bridge and uttered a prayer to the Avatar. Then he turned around, and looked at one of the COMM-Biarchs. "Well, patch him through to their captain. Also notify him that they can understand out speech."

Nought but the Leg remaining to disclose

The Commander sent Nd'Jamnud a quick question. "Do you all have holoprojectors? I have the Chancellor on the line. If not myself and....I'm not sure Ay-Ir....never mind, Shipmistress Klgamn will come aboard as well. Unless you prefer your leader joins us on the Revenge or the Far Horizon, which it doesn't seem you do." He sounded unhappy and frustrated.

The Shipmistress pressed her lips together. "Yes, sir. Yes, Kai....Commander Tyafrl is checking now. Yes, sir. Alright. Goodbye." She switched the vidlink with the Chancellor off, angry. Then she shook her head. That did not matter. She and Kaiyl were professionals, they should not be letting their personal history interfere with their behavior. She sent the Terra Novans a message asking them to at least meet them via hologram or transmission, and told the Transothraxians she had.

The colony ship had jumped back to her escorts when the humans retreated, and now the Oogish ships assumed formation. Their weapons were still hot from the tense encounter with the human fleet lurking at the far edge of the system, and their shields were online, but they made no threatening moves. The singleships were still deployed and circled in a defensive swarm around their ships.

This is Hemes Ravik(Translation: Steven Redfield), Prime Minister of the Free State of Terra Novam. As you may or may not know, we're a bit tied up with the rebellion so no-one of High Command can show up personally. I will be present, but unfortunately I will be alone. Just send me the location and I'll be over soon. Be advised, I will be on board a well-escorted dreadnought; this is a standard safety measure so don't be alarmed! Ravik out.

This is the commanding AI of the Terran drone squadron calling Transoxthraxian and Oogish commanders. There's an emergency at Blackwater (Capital city) and we have been recalled. May there be peace yet! End transmission.

With that, the drone ships fired four acid green beams; targeted at the same spot, then moving apart. The space between the beams started to crumple and eventually collapsed, revelaing the entrance of a wormhole. One by one, the Imperial ships entered the mouth; and 4 minuts later the final ship fired the green beams again from inside the wormhole, reversing the earlier process and restoring normal space.

Blackwater Harbor, planet of Terra Novam
Okay, listen up. I'm gonna have to leave; an important diplomatic meeting about a dispute over an, as of yet, uninhabited planet. In the meantime I want airplanes and patrol boats covering the danger zone at all times, but for goodness sake stay out of weapons range!
Your instructions were clear, commander. Just leave it to us, and hopefully we'll have some information when you return.
I hope so. This whole thing is unbelievable. It goes against half of every physical law we know!
You better keep yourself focused on this diplomatic mission, Sir. I know you hava a personal stake with that cursed old ship, but this isn't the time!
Yeah, you're right... Better get going.

The PM took a VTOL from the harbor to city spaceport and waited for the dreadnought to be ready. Though Zack's advice was sound, he still found his thoughts wandering off to old, unhappy, far away things. Steven hoped he could keep his calm in the upcoming meeting; the stakes were high and the PM wasn't used to micromanaging.
(Oh well, It'll turn out okay. It always does! Even if we go to war?! Our very BODIES were made for war! That may be true, but what about the billions of alien civilians? What about them ,huh?! Oh, shut up.)

As you can see, this whole Ghost Ship thing is pretty big. It is a Story event so that's a huge thing!
The PM here might have a little case of MPD... Maybe the ghost of his great-great-great-grandfather is inside his head?

Yes, yes he is possessed. But that's another story altogether!

The Comms were silent for a moment, a tense moment for the Oogish, but what they did not know was that the Transoxthraxians were trying to convince the God-King not to go and meet the Oogish on their ship. He was determined to do so, however, whatever it took. Finally, a communication from the God-King's dreadnought routed through Nd'Jamnud's ship to the Oogish. "Prepare your finest. You are meeting God today." said the message, in ancient Transoxthraxian, a language still used by the God-King to denominate royal power. Nd'Jamnud sent the transmission to the colony ship that he was in contact with prior to that. Nd'Jamnud wasn't a cynical Transoxthraxian, which was a sin in the culture, however, he did think that this level of ceremony was unnecessary. A second message, sent to him by the assessor of the Home Fleet, told Nd'Jamnud that he was to accompany the God-King himself to meet the xenos.

As Nd'Jamnud had finishing resending the transmission, he then received a report from the shipboard AI that the same message from the fighter had been received. Nd'Jamnud, preoccupied by the situation, told the COMM-Biarch to figure it out himself, and to let him into the hangar. "But Assessor, the language, I can't..."

"Then get the AI to do it." He then left the bridge to gather his guard and ceremonious armor.

Tyafrl looked at the transmission from the fighter, which was circling like a dying fish. "Just tell them to get onto the Far Horizon and shut their trap, or otherwise blow them from the skies. I do not need distractions right now."

He turned to the link with the Transothraxians. "The Revenge's Number 4 hangar bay is currently empty. If you are bringing your own dropship we ask that you land there, and exit with, say, ten people, as my bridge will not fit hundreds of guards. Or if you prefer we can send one of our dropships to collect you."

The Shipmistress seemed to materialize on the bridge, but it was just a hologram. "Commander," she said coolly. "Shipmistress. Lovely you could join us. Lieutenant Ptyl is in Hangar Bay 4 awaiting our guests."

Steven looked at the star charts in the Observatorium; the tower on top of the ship. He saw that the unclaimed zone between Transoxthraxia and Oogium was quite large, and that Terra's ally Doranos was in between the two. He was going to have to do his very best to make sure that the outcome of the meeting was fortunate for everyone; which he know was next to impossible.
The expansion treaty between Terra Novam and Doranos woul bridge the stellar gap between the two nations, but also cut off expansion to the south for Oog and Trans. He hoped that Terra Novam wouldn't face a declaration of war, since the Coalition would attack any enemies of the Terran colony. The combined might of the Terrans and Adin would be more than enough to counter the others, but would also lead to the destabilization of the entire quadrant; while the Terran government was attempting to form a confederation of all the nations in this quarter of the galaxy.
Or alternatively, the Coalition could attack the Novans; or stay out of this altogether! What the hell can I do?!

All these thoughts went through the Prime Minister's head in less than a second; but it was enough to break his concentration.
Oh, this is bad, very bad! Navigator, how far to Zone One?
Two minutes, Sir.

Sure enough, two minutes later the Terran ambassadorial convoy exited the wormhole and was now orbiting the Planet.

OOC: please keep in mind I'm not just expanding to one contested planet ;)

The Shipmistress looked annoyed when the new transmission came in. "It's on the Revenge! We've told them that, like, five times!"
She leaned into her mic. "Negative, Minister. Please proceed to the battlecruiser Revenge. I will join the meeting by hololink, as will the Chancellor."

Chancellor Gzrmpklfrz was having the same dilemma as the Prime Minister. 'Or....maybe we just surround Doranos! Our colony ships are already pretty much doing just that.'
He turned to the door of his office. "Xcvgl, pull up a holo of our colony ships' locations."
The other Oog bowed deeply. "Of course, sir."
There was a brief pause....
Then a huge, shimmering map of the galaxy appeared, zooming in on Doranos. "It seems, sir, we have created a sort of cup forcing the Doranians west. A sort of Girdle of Doranos."
"Girdle of Doranos.....I like that."
"In about five months most colonies will be sending Senators and be fully operational. I recommend we consolidate this gain while the humans allow it."
"Contact Admiral Rskar. Order him to send the Fifth Fleet, Eighth Fleet, Twelfth Fleet, and the Third Fleet to consolidate this area. Oh, this is excellent!"
"Indeed, sir."
"The Doranians can't complain as we've left them a way to expand. The humans have no business bothering us unless open war breaks out, and we get....a lot, of planets and valuable trading routes."
"Xcvgl?"
"Yes, sir?"
"Tell the Admiral to try to be.....inconspicuous, will you?"
"Of course, sir. However...."
"What?"
"A twenty one kilometer long supercarrier is, by its very nature, conspicuous, sir."
"I don't pay you to think, Xcvgl."
"No, sir. But I do anyway."

[color=orange]Oh right, Revenge. There's a lot going on you see, I get things mixed up. Will arrive shortly, over.

Minutes later, a dropship had docked with the Revenge.
Exiting the transport was not only the Prime Minister, but twenty-three fully armed Terran Marines, battle rifles charged and power sabers humming in their sheaths.
Redfield turned to the creature that seemd to be in charge; it was not one of the Oog and was in fact even taller than the Terrans! Seeing the alien was suspicious, the PM spoke in a soft but demanding tone:
[color=orange]Don't be alarmed by my guards, it's just that I trust neither of you and am very weary of being captured. The Marines will stay behind and guard the dropship; they will go no further than this hangar.

What have we gotten ourselves into?! Sure, we can defeat these warmongers but it's not worth the trouble...

OOC: Sorry in advance for the lackluster post, Football has started up again and I've been getting attacked for the past two hours.

The God-King's response to the Oogish was quick, brief, and had an air of confidence to it. If you do not have a proper dedication hall, or even a dining hall, I am willing to invite you unto my ship. Our accommodations are nearly endless.. This time, it wasn't routed through Nd'Jamnud's ship, but directly to the Oogish, with a copy directed to Nd'Jamnud, who was ordered to travel to the God-King's dreadnought.

Nd'Jamnud grumbled as he trudged towards his transport ship, after the location of the meeting had changed once again. Back and forth... He thought, careful not to let any of his comrades see his cynical expression. He boarded his ship, and began the lift-off procedures to pilot the ship to the dreadnought. Although he was offered a pilot, Nd'Jamnud enjoyed the thrill of flying through space. I hope the Oogish agree. There's no saying no to the God-King.

Tyafrl raised an eyebrow. "I'm afraid we have no.....dedication hall? But our accommodations are reasonable, and I think our ship is a bit safer," he said, casting a critical eye over the massive red dreadnought. It was big, but Tyafrl could see it was built by hands not experienced in spaceship-building. Its prominent topside superstructure only served to reinforce his mental picture of a meteor blowing the ship up with him and Ay-Ir on it.

Commander Tyafrl's face hardened as the reports from Dusk came in. Or rather, he made it look as though his face was hardening. He hid a grin of triumph and pressed a button to the hangar bay. Speaking in Oogish, he said, "Hangar Bay 4 crew. Initate Fleet Order 867. Repeat, initiate Fleet Order 867." He sat back, and forwarded the reports to the God-King, in case he had not yet received them.

In the hangar, Oogish marines suddenly poured through the doors. Several fighters lifted a bit off the ground, and then every Oog, Augment, Unggoy and Xer'can in the room began blasting away at the Terra Novans. The fighters' plasma torpedoes exploded in fireballs of bluish plasma, and the withering small arms fire lit the spacious room with the brilliance of ten suns.

Up in space, the Terran squadron immediately started blasting away at the Oogish fleet; their heavy shielding absorbing the small amount of fire that the surprised Oog threw at them. Antimatter and quantum paritcle torpedos, ion and energy pulses, and solid light beams ripped through shields and smashed the primitive Oogish warships to pieces, leaving only burning hulks in their wake.
After seemingly disabling the entire Oog battle fleet save for the Far Horizon and a single frigate, the fleet commander came roaring over the ether.
You thought you could fuck with us?! This is what you get! Next time, try bringing more ships! By the way, assassinating the Prime Minister amount to a declaration of war. Still think this was a good idea?!
This statement was followed by an ion barrage on the Far Horizon.

Now the Terran squadron turned to face the Transoxthraxians.
God-king of Transoxthraxia. Your allies have betrayed you! We cannot win a battle with your fleet here, so we leave. But remember this: every action has a reaction. Violence will be met with violence, as the Oogish here can testify. By the way, do you like lava? Base Delta Zero it is! Sayonara!

While the command ship created a wormhole, the rest of the fleet launched a volley of antimatter torpedos towards the planet...
10 seconds later, the wormhole had closed, the Novans were on their way home, and the planet below was a little smaller...

This how how battles with the Novan Navy go. Since we have so few ships (1200 + 300 drone ships) they're extremely powerful, but not invincible. You'll need to outnumber us and you'll have a chance, though casuallties will always be heavy. Several big time FTers (Volnotova, Olwe, Cruciland and others) can vouch for me so this is how it's gonna be. You can probably tell I'm angry.
PS: First blood!

OOC: We have fewer ships than that, and, if the fewer, the better they are, so using your logic, I can make super-ships, seeing as I have roughly 800 combat ships in total.

Where must we go, we who wander this wasteland, in search for our better selves?
In Egypt's sandy silence, all alone,
Stands a gigantic Leg, which far off throws
The only shadow that the Desert knows:—
"I am great OZYMANDIAS," saith the stone,
"The King of Kings; this mighty City shows
"The wonders of my hand." The City's gone,
Nought but the Leg remaining to disclose
The site of this forgotten Babylon.

We wonder, and some Hunter may express
Wonder like ours, when thro' the wilderness
Where London stood, holding the Wolf in chace,
He meets some fragment huge, and stops to guess
What powerful but unrecorded race
Once dwelt in that annihilated place.

OOC
Trans I don't know the size of your fleets, and that is not my logic. If so then a single ship would be nigh invincible!
No, they were engineered this way; to combat multiple targets at the same time; and to soak up fire instead of deflecting it. There's a backstory behind all of it... And these ships are hard to replace since I don't wisk destroyed ships back into existence after the end of a war like a lot of others.

EDIT
Deleted the effects of my attack

OOC: yeah....no. You said you had like twenty ships, and I'm sorry, but one exploding dropship will not vaporize an entire ship. I....yeah. Edit this or I will just ignore it.

Yeah. So I think it'd be safe to say HELL NO your lone dropship did not vaporize my 3-kilometer long battlecruiser. :eyebrow: Maybe it exploded, but I doubt the hangar even suffered major damage. And, you do not get to decide how bad my damage and casualties are. >:( :eyebrow:
