Since I man vowed to have peace, how about the peaceful true Alwon either have the ability to make wormholes or quick FTL, while the violent ones have none and the home world has no FTL abilities at all. Since the main reason seems to be because you want to not worry about imperialism and unfair tactics, that wouldn't be a worry if I never shoot (And by me, I mean the real me, not the rule abiding bad Alwons.)

Also, how about after everyone makes contact with me, I become the guy the more peaceful side turns to for hosting diplomatic missions or meetings, since we are secure and never want to fight, we would make great moderators in the galactic scene.

To be honest we have a thing called passive aggression, different from human terms, it basically entails that we have a security force and weapons, but instead of creating death, the create distance, so instead of a death lazer the Alwon have a stasis beam that holds a hostile fleet in stasis and then uses it's Soul-point drive to go FTL to escape.

They just skip to FTL if there is a battle between two fleets going on, as it wouldn't be fair and would cause direct death to do so.

you dont have to be a pacifist to be diplomatic or well known being peaceful unagressive and having lots of mutral defense and NAP works just as well. I know the Coalition 4 super powers would stonewall Teverians warlike culture and establish permenant peace for a stable trading partner.

I dont know I dont like how powerful and all stopping those statis field generators are, even if you wont use them aggresively if yur going to be in the same space as us you shouldnt just be able to stop someone of equivalent tech. You can be pacifist but you should have to work for your peace like anyone else not just halt invading armies at the touch of a button.

Maybe if generators were of comaparable size to the field being projected and they stopped FTL travel in and around them during their use and shortly after their use.
