Actually Emperium I have an idea since you are one of those type 3 nations and gtech is one of those type 3 nation you two would be a good match. And seeing as you have multiple sectors defined as 200 Ly cubed space that big open spot Gtech harvest/grows flowmetal in would be perfect for holding your empire.

I think he is talking about the rule/guideline where a nation that has only had 40 years of FTL can expand normally while a nation that has had FTL for 200 or so years has a slower expansion rate compared to those nations that have just discovered FTL and whos population at home would be overflowing. The last one is for people who want to be the far older nations that have expanded to the extent their civilization can reasonably support indefinitely. These type 3 are also the remnant of a older empire that learned their lesson or beings that don't expand in the normal sense, like you Gtech.

This is just a general guideline and can be ignored if a Rp calls for it or if something unique comes up, so dont take it to heart.

Ah, the difficulty is that I RP the Chosen as only having begun to use the Dive for FTL transit some fifty odd rotations ago- a blink of the eye for their civilization. Also, my population stands at a mere thirty million sentiments- hardly a teeming overburdened ecumenopolis.

This isn't just one RP, it's more like an RP group. You can join at any time and make a FAR RP for FARers only. There isn't really a timeline, as far as I can tell.

I know I don't have a vote, but I'd like to put in my opinion anyways. While overall, it looks like a very good app, Leer, the one thing that bothers me without any RP examples is your temporal weapons. The ability to pass entirely through shields seems a bit OP to me. I know some people tend to lean more towards shields rather than armor for defense.

Everything looks good except base form but I like how you did it so I dont care overall your app is great.

The only thing that bugs(pun) me is what entaruii already mentioned, the temperal weapons and no examples.

Temperal weapons would scare the bejeezus out of Adenia. We got good defense systems at that, but our shields are our main defense...

Yea, I wasn't sure what the base form meant and Google was no help, so I took my best guess and went with it.

On another note, I apologize for the lack of examples. I haven't actually been in a rp on here yet; my cousin has, and he showed me how it works (sorta), so I'm mainly just looking to get my foot in the door.

Lastly, on temporal weapons. In order to use these, one of two things has to happen:
1. The entire ship has to be in a simultaneous temporal flux, which would require so much power that you couldn't have any other systems running on the ship.
2. The torpedoes (easiest example) are not in a temporal flux whilst on the ship, or they would detonate once the touched something not in a temporal flux. The flux would have to be applied to the torpedo and the torpedo tube just before it is launched, so that the torpedo could be in a temporal flux without detonating inside the ship. This process would double the amount of time it takes to launch them, which means that I will have to either build twice as many tubes in my ships or deal with shooting half as many torpedoes. This was my logic in deciding that the temporal weapons-- in this case, a torpedo-- were powerful, but not so powerful that I could become an instant superpower.

To clear up my weapons, the lances are just big-ass lasers with colour for coolness. Damage depends on the target and the type of lance; light lances are thin beams that can be moved around to slice and dice things creatively, while heavy lances are huge-ass lasers that just drill through targets with impunity. Of course, the lances are usually so draining that they are never fired twice in a row, and dedicated lance ships are very vulnerable as the dedicated lances, while having a faster rate of fire, have an entire nuclear reactor or solar reactor each. One shot=boom sniper ship gone.

H-3 weapons are nukes but without the fallout and lingering radiation. It's just so hot that anything there disintegrates, then the radiation bonds with other molecules to make it rain instantly. Very unrealistic, but interesting and 'cool'. Of course, there will be massive collateral damage, and the rain may not occur on superdry wolds.

I would use Chronotron as a general term for any particle that is out of phase with the "normal" time stream, whether naturally or, in our case, artificially.

Well I have been RPing on a loose schedule with Zaineia, but looking to get more involved.

I was hoping to have my nation placed in the Galactic East if that'd work. I've RPed with G-Tech before and our RPs have always been good so I look forward to any interaction there.

Also, yes I do take some names from the 40k Universe but when it comes to Guardsmen thay have more than just Flashlights and much better tactics than,"Charge and drown them in our blood! *insert Zealous cry for the Emperor here*" lol

The Niteris just lob nuclear shells, kinetic rods and spheres, and anti-matter at things. Most ships are equipped with laser cannons, but those are generally used to overload enemy shields/wear them down. All the real damage is done by nuclear shells and anti-matter missiles. Some of the newer ships have Warp missiles, but those are relatively rare.

Of course, due to the nature of how Niteris cube-ships fly, they can fire 55% of their ships's weapons at one target.

we got plenty of room and plenty more stories to tell what kind of civilization do you want? if your feeling upto it and willing to work with another member on it could could intertwine your histories and RP it as though you been dealing with another nation for along time but only recently gained the advantage of FTL from them or you could be a more autonomous state within and existing empire if your looking for a easy way to get in. you could even talk to one of the members here and see if they are willing to RP you as a break off from their empire with their species and past. its all up in the air.

As for the ongoing shield boasting and not using shields, The coalition has forgone shield development until recently and even those are just stolen bits of technology. the coalition relies on its durium Armor to absorb direct energy and excess is shed off through a layer of wires and pipes towards radiators. a Titanium/tungsten sheet is held beneath the durium and its cooling network for shrapnel protection and to keep the Durium from warping out of shape. a huge amount of sealing chambers, damage control, Sealant gas, and the ships being section means coalition ships are design to survive not soak up damage.

As I said, it's very rare to see anti-matter being used. Mostly used in missile form by newer destroyers and dreadnoughts. But keep in mind that most ships use good old nuclear weapons as their staple weapon.

so do you want to be in the FAR north west above Gtech and have an internal war with his flowmetal and show the imperial Guards men how to Win a war not just survive one?
