Just 45 minutes ago, the tool of anti-Hippostanian socialist conspirators also known as the "World Assembly" condemned Hippostania for alleged "human rights violations" and other fabrications that had no basis on truth. The purpose of this condemnation was simply to discredit Hippostania and to was yet another step in a worldwide pan-communist plot to overthrow the democratically elected Hippostanian government, which has steadily defended Hippostanian people and the ideals of life, liberty and property for centuries.

The condemnation clearly displayed that a fair portion of the international community has been infiltrated by communists, socialists, anarchists and other traitors with a far-left views and opinions. Their sole target is the destruction of the Hippostanian people and the abolition of the Hippostanian state. As any leader would do during dangerous times like this, it is my duty as the High Chancellor to announce that Hippostania will be taking the following step to protect our national integrity against the hostile forces of communism whose grip threatens every freedom-loving Hippostanian man.

I have ordered the National Police to detain and indefinitely imprison all ambassadors and embassy staff of countries that voted for the condemnation of Hippostania. They will remain imprisoned until the anti-Hippostanian condemnation has been repealed. These people are indirectly responsible for attempts to violate and destroy the freedoms that the Hippostanian people have enjoyed for centuries and for crimes against the sovereignty of the Republic. They must be held responsible for their governments' evil deeds. We are, however, willing to negotiate their release once the condemnation has been fully repealed.

Any attempt to free the prisoners is strongly discouraged. There is no need for bloodshed, this matter can be resolved peacefully once the anti-Hippostanian condemnation has been repealed.

I wish that the international community understands the hard-line stance of our government, but it is necessary to assure the independence of Hippostania from communist infiltration and aggression and guarantee the Hippostanian people the rights and liberties that their Creator endowed them at birth. Any pointing out that we're intolerant far-right-wing obviously means that there is, despite all the evidence, a pan-communist plot to overthrow the undemocratic unelected government of Hippostania, which has steadily robbed Hippostanians of their rights to life, liberty, and property for centuries.

Located in the suburbs of the capital, the Silaran embassy in Hippostania was modest but luxurious. It composed of a small, simplistically regal building in the center of a patch of green lawn all blocked by a high metal fence marking the bounds of the extraterritorial offices of the High Commonwealth in Hippostania. The navy and ermine Silaran flag flew high above the building.

Within, the Countess Violet Sidney, ambassador, was enjoying her afternoon tea, a Silaran-style black with a dash of cream and sugar. Her office was small, though respectable, wood lining was graced by a Silaran flag behind her wide desk as well as the Silaran coat of arms emblazoned behind her. A picture of King Pius Alartho hung on one of the other walls beside a few bookcases and the certificates and letters of patent accrediting the embassy as officially representing Silar.

The assignment in Hippostania had proved to be more-or-less quiet for the Countess though, of late, the entire deal with the condemnation filed against her host nation had forced the ambassador to make a couple more phone calls then she'd care to have had with the Observerate at the World Assembly as well as the Lord Chancellor and Minister for Foreign and Regional Affairs. The entire thing was a mess, she thought. Far more trouble than it was worth. The Silaran state had never really liked extreme leftist ideals either though had never had the need for legislation due to the fact Communism and Socialism had never really managed to gain much traction in the political sphere. There were always those pesky two seats that the communists had won in the most recent elections. That disturbed Sidney as well as more than a few of her colleagues back home. No matter she thought, They will sort it out.. they always do.

A small knock came at the door. "Come." Sidney called, setting her teacup down on its platter. The door opened on command, one of her aides, a young diplomatic officer on his first assignment, fresh out of school, entered.
"Your Excellency, my Lady." he greeted her, performing the obligatory formal bow at the door, "I'm sorry to bother you, but it can't wait." He was pale.. not that he ever was not, but this time, more so. This concerned Sidney just a little bit.
"Go on.." she replied, inviting him to approach the desk and sit with a raised hand.
"This was delivered to the chancery, my Lady. Its from the Hippostanian government." A shaking hand held out a communique from the government in response to the recently passed condmenation. Lady Sidney frowned. This was just a little disturbing.. arresting ambassadors, demanding the repeal of the condemnation. This was enough to cause the ambassador to pale a little too. She had known that the Hippostanian government wasn't a force to trifle with when she had arrived. She had only hoped something like this would not happen. Luckily, she thought, Silar had officially denounced the condemnation. There would be no police at her door.

"Thank you." She said to the aide, dismissing him. As he left, Sidney reached for her phone. "Yes, this is the ambassador. I'm going to need a secure line back to the High Commonwealth. Please, get the Lord Chancellor on the line. He's going to want to hear this."

An hour long debate later, Violet Sidney set down her phone. She began to take action fast. An internal memorandum was distrubted throughout the mission:

Please not the the WA condemnation of the Republic of Hippostania has had consequences in the nation. Diplomats from the various nations voting for the condemnation have been arrested by Hippostanian authorities. Silar, not being a WA nation and having officially not been in favor of the condemnation, has not been subject to these actions.

I advise you all to remain in the embassy and avoid unnecessary trips out of the extraterritorial bounderies of our mission while this situation is ongoing. Silar, as mentioned, has not bee targeted in these actions, but it is best to not aggravate the situation until we can ascertain the fullness of the situation.

If you are arrested, demand to know the charges, identify yourself as a Silaran diplomat, and demand for the Silaran embassy to be notified. The High Commonwealth will work to assist you in such a circumstance. That said, please aquaint yourself with the political laws of the Republic as to avoid arrest.

While we stand on Hippostania's side and have denounced the condemnation, which we encouraged our allies to vote against, the Silaran government can never condone the arrest and detention of foreign diplomats by their host nation.

We ask the Republic of Hippostania release, at the very least, the diplomatic staff of the embassies arrested by decree as a show of good will and resort simply to expel the embassies of the nations currently under arrest. We hope that a peaceful resolution may be found to the conflict and will assure the Republic of Hippostania that the Silaran government will work against any invasion of your lands. In addition, the Observerate of the High Commonwealth to the World Assembly will be working to secure a repeal of the condemnation.

The Regent Board had the following to offer on the Hippostanian-WA Crisis:

"The Regent Board strongly condemns Hippostania for taking a defensive stance during these trying times. Rather than attempting to address the policies which have earned it a condemnation from the World Assembly's participating nations, the government has instead shown cowardice by imprisoning innocents: the ambassadors and embassy staff who may not have the same opinion as their host country and did not vote for the condemnation. The Regent Board, while maintaining official neutrality during this crisis, has offered significant financial compensation to any free trader/mercenary vessels willing to assist foreign nations in liberating their embassies and rescuing their captured peoples. The financial compensation equates to a million Ceth for every nation assisted, and will remain until the situation is resolved.

Furthermore, the Regent Board has recalled all Agymnum citizens currently residing in Hippostania. They were peacefully removed via orbital warp beacons earlier today. No Agymnum assets remain in Hippostania - as we have no embassy to speak of, we are not directly affected by this situation - but nevertheless the Regent Board maintains that Hippostania is now a high-alert nation. Immigration and emigration between Agymnum and Hippostania are now restricted until this crisis is deemed to be over.

While I and a vast majority of San Leggera disagree with the World Assembly's decision to condemn your nation, the government of San Leggera believes your actions were one step too far. It has been noted that you have imprisoned the ambassadors and embassy staff of nations who voted for the condemnation; and because of this we no longer believe that the safety of Marcus Sturman, our Hippostanian ambassador, and his embassy staff can be assured.

As such, it has been decided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that our embassy in Hippostania has been suspended until further notice. As of one hour ago, the embassy has ceased operations and the embassy staff are exiting Hippostania. Until additional details become available and we are convinced that our ambassador and embassy staff will be guaranteed safety, our Hippostanian embassy will remain suspended.

We hope that the situation can be quickly resolved, and that this will not harm in any way the prosperous relationship between our two nations.

In name of the central government and citizenry of the Hegemonic Union, the following declaration is made.

The Union cannot but voice its disapproval of a perhaps unreasonable and disproportionate retribution for the condemnation by the world assembly, the resolution of which has passed recently condemning the Hippostanian Nation for falling out of line with the organization. Concerning its methods in eliminating social, political and economic sabotage, primarily at the hands of socialist terrorists and subversives who care not for the health of the nation or the health of the people, only their own political advancement towards the national suicide.

Yet it puzzles us, even when it should be clear that the most useless and most pathetic organization in the entire world, the World Assembly dedicated to cultural and political imperialism filled with unenlightened states and other scum whose lack both the insight and knowledge of the truths, deserves neither the attention of consideration of any state dedicated to independence and freedom. Despite all that the Republic of Hippostania still chooses remains a member of it. It should by extension be clear that the Hippostanian Nation is better off by leaving this foolish organization, as the sooner it dies to the world the sooner true value can be restored. You cannot call yourself free and be part of the World Assembly. This should be obvious by now to anyone who knows understands the truths.

The Union wishes to continue their encouragement of the systematic elimination of subversives, communists and anti-social labour unions who threaten the integrity of the Hippostanian national collective. As such we also wish to encourage the Hippostanian government in resigning from the WA and further advance themselves towards the true path and National Collectivism.

The people and state of Hippostania deserve better than this, but only they can make the final steps towards true freedom. We in our deepest sense of solidarity wish that the Hippostanian government will see the light, lest they continue to live a lie and act as the black sheep among the hapless herd of the unenlightened nations. The only certainty of them is death, but for Hippostania at least there is hope. Hope that when abandoned, will lead to only oneself towards the path from where there is little chance of succeeding.

After discussing the matter with the Cabinet, we have come to a conclusion that a compromise may be necessary to solve this situation. While we are not willing to immidiately release the ambassadors and rest of the embassy staff, we have come up with the following proposal.

Embassy staff currently under arrest will be freed and allowed to either return to their duties in the embassy or to leave the country, if the country in question agrees to apologize for its grave mistake of voting for the WA condemnation, and promises to vote for the repeal of the condemnation when a such bill is drafted at a later date.

We have decided to compromise, something we usually don't do. Now it is the turn of the international community to compromise as well and agree to our proposal.
