[Marquetien Districts]

Ok so if you want a refresher on what is happening in the Districts....

The Borderlands of Marquetien Districts have been at civil war for years. Each district wants control of the government even though the districts are basically separate entities, they still all want power.

Reasons for wanting control of the government:
Capital city holds the palace, whoever has the palace has power

Capital city is in the center of the country, easy for ruling over other districts

Poverty is high and people are sick of living in poverty, unity could fix that because things could actually get accomplished in the central government

Century old feuds between districts lead to them hating each other

So here's how the roleplay starts out (by the way this is my first RP):

The Western Districts had the capital surrounded, all roadways, airways, and waterways were cut off. They were shelling the city and its surrounding territories. Rockets were fired into the capital all Tuesday and Tuesday night, until Wednesday morning the Alliance of the West (Northern District, Western District, Island Alliances of the West) decided to attend a peace talk in order to resolve the problem.

(OOC: Since no one signed up to be the Capital or other districts in the east I will be playing mainly as the Capital, but also as some other districts. I will always be the capital but if someone signs up to be another district, they will take over from me)

The next page or page and a half will be the peace talks. They are held right outside of the Western border of the Capital.

[Illysium]

The Nationalist Republic of Illysium is willing to provide military support to the capital. Illysium's military is highly trained and one of the best in the region. Our battle hardened armies have just come out of years of conquest of neighboring nations.

[Lewina]

After many weeks of discusion the Lewinan Congress, Senate, House Of Representatives, and any other man or woman in with a important government role decided to enter the war in the Marquetien Districts. They decided the District in the south was the best choice because Lewina is a government that supports everyone not just a few men. This district was large and poor and needed help, so Lewina decided to help them.

Dear District of the South,

It has come to our attention that your District is in great need of help. We the people of Lewina would love to support your cause to make Marquetien a free, and independent nation. We in Lewina have always hated people being unfair and getting their greedy hands on everything. That is why we wish to help you. You are a poor but very large District, the capital is rich and cruel. We hate the people in the capital as much as you do. What we propose is that we help you make Marquetien a independent nation with no districts.

The telegram was sent by computer, phone, and handwritten letter to get to that district. The people of Lewina cared about other countries and hated to see them fall and be whipped like they are being now. The soldiers of Lewina started to prepare to be sent their and fight for their freedom. About 5,000 soldiers would be sent along with, 50 tanks, 20 aircraft carriers, 200 helicopters, 150 jets, 4 assassins, 100 spec-ops, and 50 spies. Yes a lot of men and women but that was how much Lewina cared about other people. It was amazing. This would be the first war since the revoulution that Lewina would be in. It was exciting and scary and everyone hoped their sons and daughters would return home.

[Illysium]

Illysium expresses deep concern at Lewina's decision to help the rebels. Illysium's main goal is to establish peace and security in the region.

OOC: Accepted but you should know that this isn't the sign up. Anyways seeing as I'm playing as the capital, you can represent part of the army or represent your own forces fighting for the Capital.

OOC: Ok and by the way everyone, this is the peace talks. So if anyone has a proposal for peace post it right after this post.

My nation(Illysium) will establish an intervention force to prop up a puppet state in the Capital.

Greetings from Venicos

First off, we would like to extend an offer to your government as we see you are in some turmoil. If you would like to capture the capital and gain the power, you shall need strength. Military of course. Luckily for you, we offer our highly trained military to other nations if there is some benefit for us. Usually this involves compensation but we are looking for an alternate source of income here. A little bit of the power, a little talk in your ear. Maybe a guaranteed seat in your government for a representative from Venicos? Should you agree we shall commit to this conflict fully and possibly even bring in more allies should the fight look dire.

Us here at Venicos truly do hope you accept our offer and we don't have to look for employment elsewhere. Respond to us soon.

After hours of talk in Parliament The Government of Tairoth is willing to hold peace talks between the two sides and as Tairoth is neutral you will have nothing to fear from us and we also have no intension of sending members of Tairoths Public Forces into Marquetien districts unless completely necessery.

Our offer of peace talks will be open for as long as there is a chance of a ceasefire and Tairoth will be there by your side in helping unify the country under a single flag.

Official statement of Chancellor Travis Noble:

Through much debate in our government we have reconsidered our original position on the conflict. Illysium hereby withdraws is original support from the Capital to now stand firm with the Northern District and it's western ally. The Northern District has communicated with us that they are willing to attend peace talks with the rest of the country, however under a few conditions. Lewina must reduce it's large troop presence from the Southern District and a force of 5,000 Illysium peacekeepers must be allowed to enter the Capital. They also want reassurance from the Western District that the nature of their alliance will not change. Illysium and the Northern District express our highest hopes for peace and hope that talks can begin soon.
