Petition on the Authority of His Majesty the King

The Rose Kingdom of Caelapes is interested in participating in this illustrious organization. The King would like to make some facts about Caelapes known before our petition is considered, however. Though we have no Ministry of Floristry, I have the honor as Lord Keeper of the Privy Rose of maintaining the Royal Family's personal rose garden. Furthermore, I serve with the Royal Consortium of Heraldry, which has a subcommittee devoted to the royal flower and its proliferation at home. Additionally, there are different flowers for the Royal Family and the nation as a whole. The Rosa 'Serenissima' is a beautiful white rose adopted by Adamo Carpethin as the royal (and therefore national) flower upon his formation of the Rose Kingdom in 1143. In 1729, the relatively young Parliament chose the Rosa 'Parade' as the sole national flower and changed the flag to reflect the new pink rose as the national symbol. The white rose remains the symbol of the Royal Family.
