Cruse continued to browse Reddit, occasionally liking or sharing a photo or article. Reddit and other websites like 4chan were quite popular among the rising number of the younger government officials like Cruse, while older men like Zakheav (The Premier of Strolingrad) were not into such websites. As Cruse 'funny' section of the website, occasionally sharing and liking articles photos, letting out a occasional chuckle, he looked seeing a man in a suit and tie approaching him.

"Hello comrade"

Cruse looked up from his iPhone and smiled at the American.

"Hello to you to comrade... I was waiting for someone to approach me." Cruse offered offered his hand to the American, whose name he was yet to know. He offered his hand.

"Your name Mr...?"

OOC: While I'd prefer to avoid OOC chatter in this thread, it is more likely to be noticed here.
Qurina, you have senior ambassador Nikolai Stolypin sent off to talk with your delegate. Strolingard, you have also had an ambassador sent you way, along with a military official. I wish to point these things out as it seems you two are under the impression that I have not done these actions.

Also, Spires, it was Kemal Efendi who asked for Scotch. Izvolsky is still helping himself to your rum.

Minister Lawrence promptly took a seat near the Neo-Marxist Quirinans, although he didn't notice the fact until one of the delegates whispered into him. The Minister laughed at the joke, and began to coyly observe the other delegates in the room.

Look at all these revisionists..thank god I won't be the unlucky bastard who'll work with these fools after the December 20 National People's Congress, thought the Minister to himself as he spotted the delegates from the Worker's International's Central Committee. The Minister was just one of the many followers of the Anti-Revisionist faction within the Falsean People's Party, one of the strongest ideological cliques that dominate the Central Committee, Politburo (and it's Standing Committee), and National Assembly of Falsea.

It was one of the oldest factions as well, alongside the Egalitarians and Liberal Socialists. Preaching Marxist-Leninism, World Revolution, Class Struggle, and Militarization, the Anti-Revisionist was indeed a radical block.

The Minister waited calmly for the conference to begin, listening slightly to the murmurs and whispers of the Quirinans beside him, and as he did so, was approached by a Yaroslavian delegate. Introducing himself as Nikolai Stolypin, Lawrence returned his introduction and motioned for him to sit down.

"I hope the conference begins soon though.", he said to himself as he began to get a little bored.

Izvolsky even blushed a little at Darrus’s remarks. “Please, you are too kind”. He then gestured to a passing servant and whispered in his ear. The servant went off and quickly returned with a semi-opaque bottle. The bottle, labelled in Cyrillic, was soon opened and a glass was poured for Darrus.

He then turned to Mera and shook her hand. “Well, then let us give you a glass also”. At that, another glass was produced and the bottle was again pouring out its contents. Once done, the bottle was placed on the table and the servant stood near, waiting to see their reaction.

……………………

Stolypin knew the stance of Lawrence well and knew this representative would be useful. After sitting next to him and asking him if he wanted a drink, he moved straight to the point while he had Lawrence to himself.

“Now, comrade, I am sure you have noticed that the most active attendees of this conference are all united by a certain type of political direction. Your own direction is known, but a solid understanding would be beneficial. Certain issues regarding third way ideas will be discussed.

Though the general direction of our comrades is not harmful in itself, I fear they will endeavour to push us in ways that are not harmonious with Leninist thought. I hope I can rely on you to help defend the Leninist position if, say, they try and once again make this alliance one that accepts states not compatible with the core ideals of socialism”.

Cruse hadn't noticed the Yaroslavian official, who requested he go with him to talk. Just as began to stand up to follow him, a representative from the Americans had approached him. Not wanting to be rude, he instructed his one and only subordinate who had accompanied him, Harrell Feinger a official from the PRSS (The People's Republic of Strolingrad Ministry for State Security), to go with the Yaroslavians and talk.

Harell had worked in the Foreign services for three years before he went to state security (Basically the Strolingradi CIA or KGB), hence his selection for this assignment. It was common practice in the government Strolingradi Intelligence officials to accompany diplomats or high profile diplomatic officials. Harell was to talk about the PRSS's involvement in Huntijia (New Isotopia is a puppet of mine, Strolingrad handled Intelligence related activities in Huntijia before both countries pulled out), the Bulgislavian crisis, and other important events on the world stage.

Despite having worked extensively on that presentation, he also knew Cruses material just in case more than one man approached them on something.

"Harell, could you go talk to the Yaroslavian man please?"

"No problem." Harell said as he stood up and followed the Yaroslavian ambassador and military official.

"Thank you." Cruse replied as he turned to face the American man.

After standing up, Harell faced the two men.

"Is it possible we could talk somewhere more... Secluded?"

Lawrence turned to the Yaroslavian delegate, Stolypin, as the man spoke.

"Well..I'am an Anti-Revisionist, so I will try my best to help you do so. Though I don't really see a problem with other, more unorthodox brands of Marxism joining together under this alliance, I do find it distasteful sometimes."

"Anyways, do you know when the conference'll begin? I have been tasked with the Party to represent Falsea's agenda, and I hope to do so quickly as I could. The 7th National People's Congress is fast approaching, and I will be serving as it's Chairman this time.", he said.

Looking around at the steady stream of people talking, Estus could tell this room was not the best place to talk. He caught a snippet of the Falsean's conversation and decided that it would be best not for him to hear about the plan. He smiled at the Storlingradian and waved outwardly, motioning to a close room that was unoccupied. That room would be perfect for the purposes they needed. It was quiet, close, and reasonably secluded.
"Very well, how about that room Mr...."?
He then realized he didn't know the name of this one...
"I'm sorry, before we begin, might we greet each other on a naming basis". He extended a hand.
"My name's Eugene Estus. What is yours my good man".

OOC: Thanks Osea. So we should probably fast forward to actual debating.

IC:

"My name is Prescott." he said. He then paused. "Oh, right, first names, uh heh, my name is Robért van Prescott. Thanks for the cocoa." He said, looking at the Spireans. He looked around again and saw that the Falseans had arrived. They had just recently established diplomatic relations with Capisaria, and the FOreign ministry was taking its time doing the same. The majority of Capisarians viewed the Falseans with a bit of distrust. Falsea was terrible accepting alternate ideologies, and they had once invaded a beautiful nation known as St Alexander, which, granted, was a monarchy, but it was besides the point.

He had noticed the Yaroslavian's frown and tried to push it to the back of his mind, but couldn't.

"If you don't mind, what makes you frown, comrade?"

Izvolsky first looked at the Capisarian with astonishment at the fact that he had picked up on the brief frown. Yet Prescott was the representative of an ally, so he decided friendly honesty was the best way to go. With a little remorse in the tone of his voice, he replied “I might be seen as a stiff-necked individual my some of my colleagues, but I doubt they would mind me pointing out that you have come dressed quite informally for conference. I hope it is not going to become a general practise for diplomats for I will be very out of place at future conferences”.

Efendi, now drinking the Scotch provided for him by Darrus, added “I must admit, comrade Prescott, that it is a little odd”. Then he returned to his scotch.

“But we have said enough” replied Izvolsky. “Our comrades have arrived and we do have work to do. A few more minutes may be granted while we wait for Isyanov and for others to finish up their conversations. While we wait, let us take the chance to understand each other on issues I expect to be brought up. For example, there is the issue of social democracies and their relations with our alliance. Also, the Anti-Communism alliance continues to grow in strength each day. Will you give me the benefit of enlightening me with your thoughts on these matters?”

...............

Stolypin smiled at Lawrence. "Excellent. I am glad to have you here. It is quite possible that revisionists will coordinate to bring in an unacceptable agenda for our alliance. We must act in solidarity to halt them when their good intentions move from being a positive force to a negative one. If possible, see if you can communicate with others of a similar stance. Yet we will not have much time untill we are assembled".

Prescott nodded sympathetically to the Yaroslavian. "Well, I've actually received word that my college, who happens to be speaker of the Parliament, Lawrence Joseph, is to join us shortly before the conference begins. He is, I've been told, dressed in a three piece suit. That should make you happy" Prescott chuckled.

"I think my main issues here will be keeping personal freedoms at a high level. I honestly think that this alliance has dissed a lot of social democracies and democratic socialists who would otherwise be a beneficial factor in the fight against more free market minded people." he said.

Ilyanov stands up gently moving his chair backwards and spoke this words, "Gentlemen, I believe we must formally start the Conference. It is very steadfast in our watch to begin and make wise suggestions and actions while our enemies, who are against us, are watching us and making actions to destroy what is left from the Great Left Movement. Thank you."

He sits again and smiles to his delegates and to his Capisarian and Falsean friends. He brings out six folders, with another bulk of folders with the same title being handed by the Viktorikan delegation to all other member-delegates of other nations, with the words:

"Potential Allies for the Great Left Movement of the Workers International: The Federation of Soviet Socialist Republics, U S S C R, The Internationale, The International Communist Union, Communist International League, The Union of Nations Against Fascism"

Ilyanov whispers to his comrade, saying: "Is this all the alliances that are against anti-communists?" "Yes, sir." he replied "I bet there are many, but they are too many to be few. Thanks"

The land of Temnorus was a savage land, a brutal land, yet it was a beautiful land. Rough mountains and near endless steppes battled with isolated forests and polar wastes, all watched and controlled from the central capital of Utopia. Novaya Bolshevism was an ideal born in the dark territories of Gholgoth, refined in the chaos of the Rectification, Reorganization, and Runification of a territory that had long since passed from the memories of the modern world. Temnorus now carried the black banner, alone in the world though by no means concerned with it’s vanguard state. In the interests of spreading the Novaya Bolshevist Ideal the Supreme Soviet of the Temnoruskaya Sovetskaya Federativnaya Respublika Novaya Bolʹshevistskaya placed the conference in St. Stepansburg among the most important of foreign developments.

A record number of one hundred diplomats and support personnel were dispatched though it was recognized that only two men would enter the conference itself. Commissar of Contentment and de facto head of state, Petrov Tiblanovitch Moskal would grace the conference with his august presence, accompanied by one of the nameless diplomats that was far beneath his notice. Among the first to arrive, the Temnorusians withdrew momentarily to eat a somber meal and drink a few glasses of the famed Yaroslavl vodka. Finishing his meal in considerably better spirits than he had begun it, Commissar Moskal re-entered the conference and paid respects to those who were seated near the Temnorusian sector.

His aide quickly produced several copies of a basic primer to the Novaya Bolshevist Ideal in the name of pre-empting the International’s ignorance of the nature of the Ideal. Not only was it hoped that this conference would see a greater deal of fraternity between the nations of the International but also the potential spreading of the Novaya Bolshevist Ideal itself.

The Capisarian took the folders for him as well as the American's folders and passed the American his stuff.

He smiled briefly, as if to say, "Here goes nothing"

Just as he opened the first folder to review potential allies of the alliance, his friend, Lawrence Joseph, arrived. He sat down in a chair next to Prescott, took of his sunglass and put them in the suit pocket.

Prescott, mildly annoyed, gave him the papers to review together.

"What do we know about these groups?" asked Prescott.

Izvolsky then heard a beep from his phone. He knew even before he checked it that the most likely reason was that Isyanov was on his way to the hall. Turning to his colleagues, he said “Our General Secretary is on his way. Comrades, I recommend that we all move to our designated places”. To Ilyanov, he said “Thanks for the folders, but you will find the same information available from the laptops provided along with information on other groups we wish to talk about in this conference”.

After that, he moved to spread the message and get everyone seated. At the same time, Eric Ruhle readied himself. Once that was done and everyone was seated in their correct position, Ruhle moved to address this gathered audience.

“To my fraternal comrades and to the observer delegates who honour us with their presence, I offer you our greetings.

Our socialist vanguard, it must be said, has grown stronger. The accomplishments of our states, both in terms of fulfilling the promises to our people and in protecting the revolution abroad, are great. New members, such as the Bulgislavian state which recently joined our ranks, add to the energy of our movement. Let us hope these trends continue.

Yet there are other trends that are worrying. The anti-communist alliance too has grown in strength. This is something we should have acted against. Now we face a serious threat from this organisation and the Imperial Fascist Alliance also continues to pose a potential threat to world socialism. We must ready ourselves for future confrontations with both fascism and with imperialist gangsters, bend on reducing our states to rubble.

The social democratic movement, comrades, is something to be concerned about. So must the direction of the capitalist powers, for history has shown us that they can be both mobilised against socialism. Yet it has also shown they can be used the other way, instead against the enemies of the working class. We must be ready to act on this fact. Popular fronts will be essential for our survival, as might other alliances of mutual interest.

I shall end this speech, my comrades, by reminding you that we live in difficult times. Solidarity is essential for victory. Also, realities must be always considered. We will not see the establishment of world socialism in our time. We will spend our existence enduring incredible hardships and our existence will always be threatened by reactionaries who see us as the greatest mistake of history. Our lives will be filled with struggle.

Yet, by the sacrifices we make, we may yet ensure that the future will indeed be a better one. For this, we must preserve the socialist ideal for the future masses that will create the socialist paradise we envision. This task will be a thankless one, yet we will do it because we are socialists. To act otherwise is against our very nature. If there is to be a bright socialist utopia, it will be built on the foundations that we will have laid. The ideals summed up with that old slogan "Liberté, égalité, fraternité” reside within our hearts and, as long as they beat within the heart of a socialist, our cause will live".

OOC: That's it from Ruhle. You have a space untill Isyanov puts forward more concrete statements in his own speach for discussion and to put forward questions to Premier Ruhle.

"Do not worry Comrade, I will do my best still to hold back the tide of reformists within the International in this conference. Their influence is beyond control and it is imperative that such traitors to the revolutionary path are prevented them from espousing their dogmas upon this Marxist fellowship.", said Lawrence one last time to Stolypin, before facing the head of the table again.

The Viktorikan delegate had just stood up, ready to speak. Minister Lawrence encouraged the man by nodding him on and as he gathered everyone's attention, Lawrence listened in as well.

"Comrade Ilyanov, this are all excellent suggestions. The motion that our International align itself with other like-minded organizations in order to repulse the forces of Fascism, Capitalism, Conservatism, and Anti-Leftism that seek to destroy our way of life, is supported by myself on behalf of my country.", he said as he took a glance at the folders one by one.

The Minister continued reading a few of the files, until the conference was opened by the remarks of Izvolsky. Putting down the folders in the table, Lawrene faced the head of the table again, apparently the Yaroslavian delegate took it upon himself to mark the conference's start. The Minister listened very closely to the remarks, and eventually followed suit to the Viktorikan representative, standing up and applauding.

Izvolsky, Isyanov and the other Yaroslavians immediately began to clap as Ruhle finished. Some cynical minds might have proclaimed this simply cronies giving the expected response for their master, yet they would have been very wrong indeed. The Premier had been an essential part of the Yaroslavian revolution and affection for this veteran politician was only to be expected.

While still clapping, Isyanov moved to start the conference. “I thank our dear Premier for providing the opening speech for this conference. His continued contributions to the socialist movement are to be commended.

“Now, let us get to work. As comrade Ruhle has already mentioned, the potential direction of social democratic and certain capitalist states is a matter that needs to be addressed. With the continued threat from reactionary alliances, the necessity of allying with these groups against the twin threats of imperialism and fascism is obvious.

The task is obvious, yet the means are not. So that will be the first issue: How might we manage our relations with the social democratic and the more favourable capitalist states in such a way that we might be able to count on them as allies in a clash with reactionaries?”

Commissar Mandrik had almost fallen asleep due to the lull in between his delegation's arrival and the beginning of the conference, being thankfully oblivious to the present backdoor meetings that were taking place in the mentioned period. When Premier Ruhle began his speech, Mandrik was snapped back into a state of alertness.

With Isyanov's question now in the air following Ruhle's speech, Mandrik began to rise from his seat in order to answer it with his own thoughts.

"Comrade Isyanov, that is an excellent question and also, as Premier Ruhle mentioned, an important one. For however many differences we as socialists and communists may have with our social democratic and more free-market oriented counterparts, they will all grow pale in comparison with the ideals of reactionaries and the dogs of the far-right...

We, as propenents of freedom and liberty for the lowest and weakest classes of common people on this Earth, must appeal to the common interest of freedom for the masses that social democratic and other centalistic, capitalist nations share in their markedly different fashions. We must not condemn a nation as being reactionary for simply not following the exact stance on economic equality and working class representation as we do, for all of our nations were at some point similar to those nations. Even though all of our respective peoples saw that true freedom lie within the ideals of the Marx, they did not always do so. They, just as many do today, were content to live in the capitalist system that is crucial to building-up nations and civilizations before they are ready for the revolutionary seeds of equality and social cooperation to sprout.

There are, however, many of those nations that are in the twin political groups we mentioned, who are staunchedly opposed to allowing the word of the revolution to spread or even visit the ears of their people within their borders. Those are the nations, who even though they share the interest of freedom for the masses, should be condemned. For they are the ones who suppress the freedom they claim to protect, joining the ranks of reactionary nations in fear that those in power within their nation might lose the hearts of their people.

The current power play between the Worker's International and other leftist pacts against the droves of reactionaries and far-rightists is in a stalemate. Just as alliances come and go on the left, they do on the right. However, if we were to gain the support of the centralist nations that many of my fellow comrades would call "capitalist dogs". We could tip the power balance in our favor, as our nations also come into contact with the centralist nations. The ideals of the International would spread, not through violence but peace as the peoples of the Centralists discover that the far-left is not a 'boogey man' out to get them."

... Mandrik began to sit down. There was a small amount of light clapping coming from the Yukutskian delegation as he did so.

"I agree" siad Prescott.

"There are many nations that are Capitalist that yet also hold great levels of personal freedom and political freedom and the people on a whole are well off. Many of these nations have embassies in Capisaria, especially the notorious Hippostania, with whom we just a few months ago re-established relations with. Hippostania is also a member of one of the enemy organizations and is one of our most antagonistic relationships. Being a nation that is mostly Social Democrats or Worker Democrats, which are the Trotskyist elements, we find it worry some that this organization turns a blind eye to our comrades that go the way of oppression of the worker under the guise of Communism or Socialism."

"Also, I might add. If we let the capitalists in our system of economy, we might lose our influence in our states slowly and might brainwash the minds of our people. If they will be given privileges, they must be short and limited. Or else, we will lose hold on our own shores and our socialist governments be called weak and dull. Businesses in our nation is limited, and the needs of the people are being given by the government according to how an individual pursues for his life. No business in our state is responsible in filling the basic needs of our people. So, we must not entertain these caputs in making their influence through bread and butter." Ilyanov commented as he listen carefully in the discussion between the Yaroslavian and the Yukutskian delegates.

"I could set Quirina Federal and Serene Republics as capitalist dogs also, but they are in the differing side of the story. They are with us and thus, they give us finance for our needs, while we make arms for them. Although we don't give much grave concern in our ideologies, we still tend to view ourselves as the sole Socialist state in Islentikas, which is where Viktorika FSR is. I can tell that we can still meddle with the centrists like Quirina if we try to do so, but other centrists will not favor war and instead tend to take side with the offended ones."

Mandrik once more rose, this time to counter the Viktorikan speaker.

"I disgree with that statement, comrade Ilyanov, not wholly but just in some areas.

If we allow foreign propenents of free-market economics to visit our nations; whatever their comments may be on our current systems. Whether they be negative or positive, will not 'brainwash' our respective peoples nor will they immediately dissuade our respective peoples from following the ideals of the International. We also cannot claim to support the freedom of the masses and equality and then cherry-pick those who will recieve special 'privileges' based on their political and economical views. Sure, our people may begin to develop new ideas about the subject of politics; but can we really blame them for wanting to get involved in our governments. Especially seeing as how we model ourselves as being their representatives and defenders? The very governments that they themselves created and put into power either via force or electorial measures.

Also, in the regards of the centralists. Would we really ask them to immediately assist us in a war with just a minimum of interactions with them? I think not, it will require great political cooperation and a willingness on not only their side to work with us; but we ourselves must be willing to work towards a brighter future with those who do not exactly believe in it. We also must not appear as bloody-thirsty jackals as many of our oppenents would and do make us out to be; but as peaceful defenders of the rights of the working men and women of the world. We must not be actively looking for war, but only be looking to defend the lowest peoples of the Earth from unjust atrocities inflicted upon them from those who would find themselves to be their masters. We also, must not meddle in other nations' internal affairs unless it is truely necessary. Is this Organization, the Worker's International, not founded on the keys points of peace, cooperation, and equality?

As partisan as these statements may be, I solemnly believe that those points are the only true way to gain the support of our more... conservative counterparts without force. For we cannot contiune to drive the centralist democracies into the enemy camp with our current tactics; not without risking a counter-revolutionary wave of nations seeking to stamp out the light of Socialism with brute force and sheer numbers.

Prescott found himself speaking to add to the Yukutskian delgate.

"I think Capisaria is the most...friendly nation in the alliance. Our capital is host to several free market Capitalist nations, and we maintain a military base in one of them. We maintain a mixed economy within the borders of Capisaria." he boldly stated with some level of pride.

"A major reason to why we lose people to the ways of the free market is because the centralist and the right are extremely good at portraying us as being against personal gain, and self improvement. We get painted as being against the improvement of people's lives and we end up looking like we're taking money hard earned and giving it to lazy people. In reality, we are here to make sure people are able to make decent lives for themselves and to prevent individuals from earning insane amounts of money at the expense of the worker's families and well-being."

Prescott was left, with his words rattling in his head. He knew that he in fact was wrong, there were elements here who did not seek to enable the path to a better life through socialist and free ideals, and who wanted to make themselves better and in reality be as bad as the pigs they overthrew.

Ilyanov rose up again not to counter the Yukutskian, but to agree and add more of his words.

"Yes, the capitalists in our country might not be considered a threat but a profit we must take advantage of them, since our economic system in Viktorika is neo-Marxist in form and thus, considered to be successful to our side. Allowing some business to be built with specific limitations may drive our economy to good track.

And yes, the world didn't realized the power of the Great Left is still here. I see a war coming into our shores and we will not let this happen, unlike the three sides, the Left, the Center, and the Right will allow so. This shall be the greatest crises we could ever meet. But I know, my fellow delegates, that you wouldn't allow war to happen, unless someone from the three sides will try to start it up. Yet, I knew that the Right will spark this war that I'm talking about, but it might change. It will."

Ilyanov shoves up a folder and hands it up high. "This folder contains all of the orders of battle of the delegate nations in the current Fitzrovian summit. This is a proof that war shall never spark from our side, unless the tyrannical Right blames us. Not to mention the Milogradian delegation, who are one of the bitter enemies of GF Quirina. But what will we do when something is blamed to us, which is not of us? We deny, right? So, here. Take this document as a sign of our immense intelligence capabilities in warfare. Also, I might add, if war comes, just tell us when to start bombing Herods." Ilyanov ended by putting the folder aside and sat down.

Isyanov then decided to briefly put in a few words on the matter. "Comrades, what must be made clear in our relations with the capitalists is that we will neither abandon socialism in our own country or stand by if injustices are committed against workers. The basis of any alliance will likely be the fact that there are much worse ideologies out there than us socialists. At the same time, I myself admit that a reasonably organised capitalist democracy is much more preferable than an imperialist state.

So, with that in mind, it is clear that any alliance needs first for the capitalists to understand that we will never take a dose of shock therapy. It also needs our own ranks to be realistic about the world situation and what outcomes we can aim for. Rejecting a solution because it relies on us allying with the capitalists when the alternative is the victory of fascism is stupid."
