As the storms continued to batter down Greens-Town, news slowly spread throughout the Imperium and the city of the recent events that had unfolded in Valorono. Emperor Tiberius was the first to hear the news as it arrived to their travelling convoy with the Constannian military and he felt grief stricken for the people of Valorono. While they were still a day away from entering Greens-Town, Emperor Tiberius made sure to pass his condolences from both his family and from the Constannians over to Dimitri and the people of Valorono. Meanwhile, in Greens-Town itself, Richard proceeded from his apartment over to were Dimitri was to try to comfort his friend. However, as he entered the bar he saw Dimitri drinking heavily as he walked up to him.

As the forces of the RC entered into Greens-Town, they were meet with warm beds and hard roofs as they took shelter from the cold and the brewing snow storm that was hammering the entire Steel Valley. As they set up camp and began to weather out the storm in the confines of Greens-Town, the leaders from the Crown Alliance that were already in Greens-Town decided to see if they could help one another in any way they could as they all were stuck in Greens-Town until the storm would pass.

Constaniana wrote:The three men came out onto the forward battle deck, and were surrounded by massive guns on all sides. There was one particularly large cannon, with one barrel that was sleek and dark. "That's the Behemoth's siege gun," Prince Russell explained. "The Välstoon Steelworks Aureäin gun, has a maximum firing range of three miles, with the total blast radius about half a mile on all sides. The drawback with it though is that after each shell is fired the gun needs three minutes to cool down before it can be re-loaded and fired again." "But half a mile of destruction around the entire blast area is certainly worth it, don't you think?" Holy Emperor Charles asked.

As he looked inside the massive war machine and its many weapons, Emperor Tiberius was both in awe and in fear over the destructive potential that this machine possessed. When Charles and Russell explained the inner workings of Behemoth and its weapon systems, Tiberius spoke up. "That is most impressive to say the least. Such this machine is truly a machine built for war and destruction. However, I must be fearful of how well this machine can be protected against the forces of Maximilian as if he possessed this machine, then the entire Crown Alliance might fall. Besides that fear, however, I think the people of the Imperium will rest a bit sounder tonight knowing that this machine is on their side and helping protect them. And after looking at the map of the Imperium again, we might be able to have Behemoth to get to the eastern half of the continent if you have it venture through the Uncharted Territories of the North as the mountain range stops there. However, this route would take several months at least for a machine of this size to transverse." As Tiberius waited for their response, he wondered how the rest of the Crown Alliance was doing since they started their separate campaigns to help retake the Imperium.

After the message they got from Phoenixia there was no time to waste anymore. Within 6 hours the Army was ready to marsh towards the new front. If a attack would happen it would be in Greens Town.
A good portion of the Infantry could drop with Parachutes near the city and would arrive within a day but the heavy machines and mechanized divisions need to take the route and would take 10 days under good circumstances and the weather report was anything but good.
" Heavy snow-storm from the mountains already sir, it would be wiser to wait..." Even trough the Video-Conference Adjutant Thompson was noticeable disturbed, understandable with his youth. However he was the liaison-officer for civil affairs for a reason.
" We can't wait, They will be outnumbered without us. Even if we arrive to late for the battle we could always hunt the retreating forces. The weather will not be better and we can't wait a week." The King was eager to close up with the troops, they would only leave a garnision of 20 000 Phoenixians in Steel Harbor, trusting the reinforcements would hit the old numbers soon enough.
" In a month or so that would be no problems, we are in the process to repair the railways already but we need more time and/or men for this task."
" You will get the men you need take as much divisions you need from the reinforcements. As for time, I don't think Max will give this time."
He turned to the driver.
" How fast can we progress within a snow storm ?"
The driver only laught. " This things are developed during a riot in the nordic mountains sir, we can get possibly 50 or 60 % of our speed even in the worst blizzard."
" Make it 75 % and everyone will get a bonus. 2 Weeks are still long enough but we need probably three for it, damn Snow..."

While Maximilian gathered the troops the Crown alliance was not lazy, despite the storm the Phoenixians from the mountains managed to build a ditch around the whole city, the area in the north, west and east were mined and they even managed to install heavy guns. The ditch included several hills were Artillery and Tanks were positioned.
They were heavily outnumbered but they would give a hard fight to anyone who dared to attack them...

I would say, a ditch in a 5 mile radius, mines and if necessary a city fight. The Kingdom has already 20 Million troops deployed here, the only question is if we can delay long enough. I don't know about the elven troops however..."

Thanks to the Warforges the ditch was much bigger then most human soldiers were capable of, there even safe connections into the city, in case the ditch would be overrun. Everything was getting winterproofed days ago so when the storm ends they had less to no casualities, not that it would matter a whole scaled attack but it helped the morale immensely.
However as they suspected Maximilian was fast. So shortly after the last mine was deployed the first recon units of Maximilians army were spotted, barely out of artillery range...

Even though it was still snowing heavily outside, both the forces of the entrapped Crown Alliance and the superior force in Maximilian's armies were now squared away to face off against one another. Deciding to open up the first salvo, Maximilian had his entrenched artillery open a hellish salvo onto the forces within Greens-Town. However, because of the snow storm and the lack of vision, the salvo rounds weren't concentrated but instead spread throughout the entire city in randomness. As the opening rounds fired upon the Crown Alliance, Maximilian decided to let the artillery soften the enemy first while he had his troops defend their positions and ready themselves for any counter-artillery.

The salve hit mostly the city, most of the people were already in cellars or outside of the city so the casualities were low. On the other side the salve revealed the Position of the hostile Artillery.
With this knowledge the whole artillery, after all 3 divisions fired back, within minutes the ditch was manned and ready for the first attack wave...

As Dimitri turned to see Richard he saw that he had a worried look on his face. "What is wrong friend, today is a joyous day, we are now safe from the weather, And I am a year older. Now come sit with me, tell me what worries you". Dimitri said as he handed Richard a mug of ale.

As Voltaire and the two-hundred spec-ops units entered Steel-Pass they split up in order to find as much info as they could. Voltaire was lurching in an alley when someone grabbed him by the collar. He looked up and saw that it was an Officer from Maxamilian's army, The Officer caught a glimpse of the assassin symbol on Voltaire's clothing and a wicked grin came over his face. He dragged Voltaire out into the middle of the square and began to speak. "This Spy was found on Pure Maxamilian Soil. This is What we do to spies." The officer pulled out a pistol, still holding Voltaire by the collar. Voltaire lunged and stabbed the officer in the arm, and then the throat. He began running when a gunshot screeched through the air. It came from a sniper on a tower surrounding the town. Voltaire lay dead on the cold ground. His spine disconnected from his brain. The mentor was dead.

Kingdom of Phoenixia wrote:The salve hit mostly the city, most of the people were already in cellars or outside of the city so the causalities were low. On the other side the salve revealed the Position of the hostile Artillery. With this knowledge the whole artillery, after all 3 divisions fired back, within minutes the ditch was manned and ready for the first attack wave...

For the next several hours, Maximilian would continue to have his artillery to hamper down on the entrenched forces of Greens-Town as he had his more seasoned troops head towards the front lines to ready for the first charge. In all, about twenty five to frothy million heavy troopers and their support would be in the first charge against the city. After the last rounds from the artillery stopped, Maximilian snared at his troops to attack fro all sides towards the defenders. In one massive wave, the first advance of troops began to attack the defenders of Greens-Town.

Kingdom of Phoenixia wrote:Franciska grin widened. " Knowing the King he will on the way already, however the streets are slow, especially under snowy conditions. So we will need to delay the troops. I would say, a ditch in a 5 mile radius, mines and if necessary a city fight. The Kingdom has already 20 Million troops deployed here, the only question is if we can delay long enough. I don't know about the elven troops however..."

Alastair spoke on the radio to Elven High command. "Eldar 6 Bravo to Eldar 6 Prime. Request support green Town..I say again request support Green town."

Back at Elven High Command an aid relayed a message to Prince Celanor. The prince read the message. He then had the aide prepare a note for Francis. "To Lord Francis from Prince Celanor. Green Town under attack. I am moblizing troops to support." Celanor then began to issue orders. The Elven camp became a buzz of activity. However it would be a while before Elven troops would be ready to help Green Town.

After another long morning with his family and with Amirra, Francis was relieved and happy to see the birth of his daughter from Amirra. As he laid next to his new daughter and a tired Amirra, Francis spoke up. "well Amirra my love, what do you wish to name our newborn daughter?" As Francis waited for an answer, Vera and her baby daughter sat next to Amirra while Anala and Jaaera took to either side waiting for a response.

Amirra was very tired but smiled. "Francis you name the baby. You gave let Vera name our first child you get to name the second." She said with a smile. The family was too happy to notice the phone in the office ringing.

When the last artillery attacks died down the infantry was still fully operateable with only a few thousand deaths, even the tank-divisions where full functional, only the Artillery divisions had major casualities and were only operateable by 40 %.
However it was still enough to calm the hostile mechanized divisions down.
When the infantry battle started the Phoenixians show the enemy why they were so feared, they got assistance from the tanks with anti infantry munitions and they heavy weapons let pay Maximilian troops pay a high price for each feet they gained...
