Notice the italics on the word "to" in the sentence "Its not to far away." The he was saying that it might take them a good 5-10 minutes to get there, which is a long time for a fight.

I get what you mean. Nothing seems to stop Courage at all. Then again, Muriel already passed on and Eustace... well... There's really nothing left there for him to protect.
