Maybe you should just retcon your villain out of the picture. Have Daniel deal with him off-screen and after the RP. One problem is enough as it is, and it's not getting Rup to post any faster.

Well, right now he's suppose to exist to make Daniel look even more bad and give a reason for the black forest incident, I'm not really seeing a reason to retcon him if his only mean for now is to be present.

Change, 'got' to whatever it is supposed to be, and I can properly respond to this.

My Apps below, I have Fin's permission.

Name: The Greater Qing Empire of Minroz
Head of State: Holy Emperor Tesisuri Merrmesh
Head of Government: Chancellor Jiang Yingshen
Government type: Theocratic Semi-constitutional Monarchy
Territory (what RL nation/nations does your nation consist of): China, Central Asia, Afghanistan, Russia’s Siberia, Northern India, Taiwan, Turkey, Iran, Parts of Middle-East, South-East Asia, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, Somalia, Kenya
Foreign policy: Neutral-Aggressive, semi-isolationists
Military branches:
Imperial Minrozian Army, Imperial Minrozian Air Fleet, Imperial Minrozian Navy, Imperial Witch Division, Minrozian Airborne Infantry, Imperial Minrozian Naval Infantry, Territorial Militia, Internal Security and Quarantine Forces

Nation background in brief:
The Oldest and the largest nation in the world, stretching from the tips of Anatolia to the mainland Far East, Minroz is a massive, ancient land ruled by the hereditary monarchy of Mongol, Manchu, Persian, Turkic and Chinese nobility, which have gradually become synonymous with each other. The authority of the Holy Minrozian Emperor is unquestioned and absolute.

Minroz is a vast theocratic society, supported by broad foundations of Clan mega-corporations, sprawling patchworks of vassal nations and semi-independent allied states. For five millennia, it’s always the leading civilization, outpacing the rest of the world in science and arts. It’s dominance in Asia is unrivalled and unchallenged, enjoying its glorious status as an ancient superpower but these days are long gone. Minroz’s history has since been turbulent, with challenges by rebellions, natural disasters, corruption, separatism and lately, foreign incursions in its territories, not to mention humiliated by ‘upstart foreign barbarians’.

This awakened the Minrozian people to the possibility that they might become just another province in one western empire or another, leading them to pursue a massive modernization program under the visionary leadership of their new Emperor, Altanmurr Merrmesh Khan.

With this revitalized spirit, the Minrozian nation experienced a revival, fuelled by a yearning for the golden age of the Minrozian Empire. However, in the 1830s they came to realize further expansion would come at a price, which would need to be paid in new lands and resources. The Emperor wisely chose to turn his steadily growing armies westwards and northwards, allying with the peoples of the Himalayas, Siberian and Central Asia to begin a massive campaign of expansion throughout the Middle East and northern India while simultaneously absorbing the failing Empires of the Ottomans, Persia and Orussia. With it's newly-developed, modernised navy, the Minrozians conquered parts of East Africa, Sri Lanka and Philippines.

By 1855, the new Minrozian Empire would stretch from her homeland to Central Russia and Northern India, reaching to the border of the Ottoman Empire, then occupying central Iraq. By then, European armies had overrun the Balkans and were now looking to add the Turkish mainland to their list of conquests, and so the Ottomans were forced to turn to these newcomers in hopes of working out a deal to save their nation.

The gambit worked perfectly, though at a cost. In return, the Minrozians gained the foothold they needed in the Ottoman government to begin the assimilation of Turkish lands, formally annexing them and transferring all but regional governmental administrative powers from Istanbul to Beijing in 1911.

The death of the Great Emperor in 1878 was met with a week of mourning still honoured in Minrozian lands to this very day, though his passing paved the way for new constitutional reforms in Zhongyang, leading to a balance of power struck between a Grand Council of Lords, selected from various lands under the Empire’s control, and the Emperors’ successors.

Today, the Qing Empire is ruled by the benevolent yet autocratic Merrmesh Clan, also known as the Golden Family. By virtue of its sheer size of their territory and population, the Minrozian Empire is capable of fighting several entire nations at once. However, Minroz is having troubles in many of its conquered territories by local rebels and guerillas, dismissing the thoughts of her future expansion and focusing on national stability instead. Not only that, competing with Western powers and its Eastern Neighbors.

Despite this, under the leadership of the idealistic new Emperor Tesisuri, the Minrozian Qing Empire is still one of the most technology-advanced and modernized nations on Earth, fielding the largest army ever to march across its surface and holding the dubious honour of being one of the nations, known to possessing most nuclear weapons.

Seems good. Just check the map on the IC post to make sure you territory claim doesn't interfere with anyone else. Also I think that bit about being the largest nation in the world might be contested, could be wrong though.

I will, what I've stated on the territory claims part, let's just say I want to fill up those gaps. :p

You're correct on the latter part. If you read histories about Empires in general, you'll get my drift. Surely, maintaining a huge nation will soak up many resources.

Figures, well I have no problem with that. Although, I want to keep China, at least leaving out Het's claims. Because I intend China to be the Minrozian Heartlands. If not, what did you propose?

I would suggest not taking siberia, because that would create a political and cultural complication with the fact that a nation of complete different culture would be smack dab in the middle of your nation. Every territory below Hetland that isn't already claimed makes sense.

Hmm, I have three ideas:

1. Joint ownership of Siberia with Hetland.
2. Political manoeuvring, moving troops to ignore Hetland due to non-aggression pact, similar to Nazi Germany and Switzerland. Of course the latter is the bank country.
3. Keep territories around below Hetland or maybe keep Central Siberia.

Those options I could tosses out at the moment.

The problem is that if you owned Siberia it would seem awkward to have a country with a completely different culture sitting right in the middle of your nation. 'That doesn't really make all that much sense

I agree with you but still...I want Siberia as well. :p

But for the sake of the thread and all things sense, i will go with either way. If I don't have Siberia, I might as well re-edited my App.

I agree with you but still...I want Siberia as well. :p

But for the sake of the thread and all things sense, i will go with either way. If I don't have Siberia, I might as well re-edited my App.

Well, Het, what did you think?

I don't think turning Hetland into an enclave is a good idea. It just makes for some very ugly borders.

Also, I do the map, so explain your claims because I'm on a bus. :D

I agree with Wolf. I'm actually going to say no Siberia, it will cause unwanted problems.

Righto.
It seems, I might as well make changes to my nation's background for this.

Here's my claims (Though I'm bit lazy to elaborate, but in fact just fill up the gaps), but changed from I last post:

China, Central Asia, Afghanistan, India, Taiwan, Turkey, Iran, Parts of Middle-East, South-East Asia, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, Somalia, Kenya.

In case, you guys are wondering, My intention for Minroz is to be an Asian Hegemony, sort of a latter-day Mongolian Empire. Anyway, did you think my claims are big enough to be the largest state in the world?

Maybe, but Finorskia might be of the same size. We control Canada and the US as well as Cuba and Panama.

Here's the issue. Hetland controls the entirety of Greater Mongolia. And you'll have a he'll of a casus belli to (re) annex him. I'll see what I can do later. Lesson calls.
