[Stovilium]

After some time it appears that there is no real sign of danger in Stovilium, besides the lager industries, or so it seems on the face of it...

Francis Drake, leader of the Stovilium Communist movement has spend all his life in hatred of Stovilium, the country he was born in. How he wished that he was in another country, living the communist ideal life. but he will not leave his own country, no the must turn it into the prime of communist ideology! Already he has proved this by gathering a large number of followers inside Stovilium, even though the capitalist nation it is has recently cracked down on them, but he fears they will not last long with the new bill to cut all rights and focus almost entirely on the economy of Stovilium, which has lead to the imprisonment of communists. He has been staging terrorist attacks on large Stovilium import buildings, killing hundreds at times, to spread his message and it has came to the government to put a stop to it.

"This menace must be stopped," senator Gordan began, "and I believe that we need to crack down on them personally." This was met with a murmured agreement, as not many people liked to disagree with Gordon, even if he was in the same position of 'power' as they were. "Good, we are in agreement, we shall arrest all communists, beginning with Francis Drake, and while we are at it pour more funding into industries."

[Midrasia]

The year of 1920 was a year of minor squabbles, however no major conflicts. 1920 is mostly remembered for:
-The Fuurtan reconquest of Northern Pandirossa
-The Midrasian Civil war
Achronnen (Northern isles)

The Midrasian civil war continues, however the communists are mostly defeated and are retreating to begin a revolution within Hawken. Confidence in the Phaedran Republic wanes as right wing extremists begin violent demonstrations within Tartarus. However the Dolorem Republic is stable and the government have a solid system. However the countries economy is crippled and unemployment is at a record high, leaving tens of thousands homeless. Vrnallia begins to assist communist guerrillas within Midrasia after their defeat. They are currently awaiting a response about transfer to Hawken, the destination for most communist fighters. Jaiross-Marhemia begins to emerge as an economic power as its industry starts to build up thanks to Avomatian trade.

Merseia (Southern isles)
The FRG controls all of its cores within Northern Pandirossa and is currently fighting Pandir troops in the south. Isolatonian troops have managed to brake the Pandir line and are assisting Fuurtan troops in the Pandirossan capital of Panad. The Pandirossan Empire wishes to discuss peace terms with its besiegers. Stovilium begins to offer loans to poorer nations of the region in an attempt to dominate the banking market. The country also suffers from the 'red scare' as communist revolutionaries begin demonstrations. Delsola begins its course in so called 'peace keeping' around the region, in order to maintain a balanced Delsola friendly Asura. Urusla begins talks with the Delsolan government with word accepting the punishments from The Pan-Asuran War, in hope to solve all future conflicts diplomatically. Engortia however remains isolationist during this time. There is little word from the nation, due to the low amount of travel through the region. The tribal kingdoms of the south also begin talks with each other, with word of forming one conjoined nation in order to modernise the people of southern Merseia.

The Question on everybodies minds however, is what will 1924 have in store for the nations of Asura...

[Dolorem]

What 1924? Already? In that case.

Over the past 7 years, much has changed in Dolorem. The communists had gained support in the lower quarter of Dolorem, and where slowly spreading upwards. Eventually, the Dolorem inquisition (The Overlord's loyalists) saw the red threat on their doorstep, at the city of Mournhelm. The communists attempted to spread into Mournhelm, however the inquisition, in a fashion similar to the Overlord himself, stopped the breach of ideals, and raised the banners of Dolorem for the first time in many a year. Mournhelm had been attempting to resist the foreign influences, and was faultering, however when the communists approached, the morale boost from the banners was enough. A large number of the survivors of the armed forces of the first war where supporters of the Overlord, and an infusion of war heroes and militia fought back the communists, and started spreading their influence. The group was being headed by veteran war hero Ulfric Aadlpryd, and their influence spread rapidly, reminding the citizens of the times of old, before the war. Eventually, the inquisition held most of the outer areas of Dolorem, whilst armed communists marched onto the capital of Lortherium. During the 3 day battle of the city, there was little movement, until finally on the third day, the communists breached the gates, fighting their way in. As the communists approached the town hall, however inquisition forces came onto the breach marching onto Lortherium, Dolorem banners raised, sporting the old flag of Dolorem. they where accompanied by the Overlord who had been found by the inquisition and brought out of exile. Due to the superior training of much of the inquisition, and the morale boost they all sported, they where firly easy able to force t heir way into the battle, and the Overlord himself killed both the current democratic leader (Krakith Vvarkdv) and the communist leader (Ikrath Kasuun). The Overlord then went into the town hall, and had the old banners of Dolorem hung in spender from the town hall, and took his seat within the town hall, as the tower was completely uninhabitable now.

From then, the communists have been rooted out and killed, alongside any political opposition. The democratic system was pulled out, although a guise was setup, for the sake of image for other countries. Dolorem had then began trade agreements with Stovilium, agreeing to sell amounts of Iron and copper. The old currency, the Sollace was re instituted after major purges of historical symbols of Dolorem ,after the war, and huge work schemes where put in place, one such example being the construction of the Overlord's tower, as well as all of the cities, with great roads being built to allow fast access between the cities, and the few Dolorem railways received major overhauls, with tracks now becoming impeccable, yet with few railways actually existing. Other examples include large monuments of war heroes being constructed around the centre of every city, and a hall in Lortherium being constructed to commemorate all who died for the right cause, in the great war and the following skirmishes. Every day, patriotic music was sent flooding through the radios, inspiring Doloremi citizens to be proud of who they are, like before.

Industries where setup in the northern areas of Dolorem, around the Grimnar mountains, where large iron and copper reserves have been found. Industries include weapon and arm manufacturing, as well as the plastic industry booming because of all of the excess explosives from WW1, as well as vehicle construction industry slowly but surely expanding. Huge areas of farmland have been esablished in the southern and central areas, where the climate is slightly more hospitable, with the growth of vegetables such as lettuces and potatoes, but as well as a large number of Yams, due to them being accustomed to existing in harsh climates.

Rearmament began in secret, with great help coming from the arms industry. Conscription was made compulsory, as well as the army being made to look an increasingly more attractive career option.

Men where sent to help aid the Ragsmuffin lands afar, in the hope of a like minded government coming into power, and an ally being found within them.

Ambassadors and agreements are now being tried with Dolorem's historical ally, whenever it had war, the like minded nation of Phaedrus Imperator.

[Stovilium]

7 years pass...

IN the next seven years many things had come to pass in Stovilium. The first was that soon after the communist bill of 1919, Drake had attacked and destroyed the parliamentary building, the Burdowa, reducing it to rubble but not killing any major members, with the exception of Gordon. After the incident and the death of one of the greatest politicians known in Asura the people were in rage, especially the people who Gordon had shares in. During the event Drake was captured, along with his fellow counterparts, to which it became apparent that the night guards were actually involved with this crime.

Gordon's funeral took place a year after, with full military honors because of his efforts to increase military spending. A massive event turned out, with many international guests appearing, including the overlord, which allowed him to secure great deals with the people, who saw it as a great mark of respect for him to turn up. Other nations turned up too, which lead to possible deals too.

However a year later of the initial attack, the Gordon-safeguard bill was signed with a 97% majority in favor, the highest turnout ever recorded, which then allowed for maximized spending to go into the economy, with some also making their way to the military department. Communists have been rounded up in mass numbers and are thrown in state prisons for a minimum of 3 years for crimes against the country. Police have been given weapons like the new Mose16 pistol.

However a year later this was radically reduced in most respects after it was realized that Stovilium was turning fascist and Gordon himself was a little more right wing than the normal Stovilian to say the least. However it did not stop the funding, only that communists were no longer imprisoned but were told to do community service.

After the past three years Stovilium has hopefully made great gains on industry, becoming an incredibly high producer of rubber, as the climate itself contains, in parts, areas where rubber trees can grow. Chemicals and plastics alike have been greatly produced, with scientists introducing new polymers to Asura every month by the looks of it, although that may be a slight exaggeration. Rare deposits of iron have been found in the isolation of Stovilium land and even some gold deposits have been found, as the sheer size of Stovilium has allowed such developments. Furthermore roads have been improved and cars have been made on production lines, allowing people to buy cars much cheaper, including the miliatary. Stovilium has decided to very much support Doleroms capitalist desires and, although in secret, has supported their decisions to re-arm as they were not part of any conference or war which caused such efforts. Although Stovilium has grew increasingly fond of it's politically similar neighbour delsola and indeed the nation of engortia.

[Isolatonia]

With the FRG reclaiming Fuurtan land, Isolatonia is optimistic about the future of Asura. Merseia now has two communist nations that are well armed and ready to raise the red flag elsewhere, when the time comes. An Isolatonian diplomat, James Smith, has been sent to Pandirossa to discuss peace. The fighting remains intense in Panad. Within the city itself, Isolatonia holds a foothold in the Merchant district with Guerilla warfare techniques being used to attempt to progress further into the city.

The G.S.R.I now intends to start pushing troops into southern Pandirossa until Pandirossa agrees to unconditional surrender. Both Isolatonia and Fuurturr have suffered too much due to this nation, they will not settle for anything less.

[Engortia]

The sound of the soldiers boots on the road thundered all around, as hundreds of troops marched through the street escorting Draegen Vaughn, the leader of Engortia as his convoy of military vehicles arrived outside the gate of a large hall with a lot of grounds, he walked over to multiple bloody and battered men, all kneeling and wearing blindfolds.
"Today marks the end of the communist threat in all of Engortia!" Roared Draegen as citizens cheered and soldiers lined up in front of the men. As was custom of Engortia, multiple cannons were set up by the "display", ready to launch when the "celebration" began. From a holster under his armpit, Draegen drew a large revolver and held it into the sky, firing a single shot as the sound of rifles deafened the cheers and the walls were painted red with the communists, and soon after the cannons thundered, beginning the celebration as Draegen walked through the gate and off into the distance. The road to war had begun.
