"I am Lt. Commander Poltva, commander of a Heavy Cruiser. I am pleased to make your acquaintanceship." She turned towards the rest of the group, "We are Ineseans."

Five drew a smiley face. "Can we email this to them?" He asked. "Don't be facetious." Two warned him. "Go ahead." One laughed weakly. "It isn't fair that those Inesean bastards get to conduct negotiations with the Athlai Republik." Three growled. "Perhaps we should go to plan B?" Four suggested. "I don't like Plan B." Two said darkly.

" It started 40 years ago with the Collective, as they are called, assimilating one of our worlds. They did not know it was not alone, and were unprepared for our navy's reprisal strike which destroyed one of their worlds. We have gone back and forth for years."

One suddenly began spouting words. "Greetings young ones. I am sorry for seizing one of your ships earlier. It was unintentional. "Tell Arados that we would like to know about this Pantheon. We must be ready for any threat." He turned to Five. "we must be ready for Plan B. Arm the cutting beam and ready transporters. I don't want to take chances. How close are the coffins?" He asked. "A few hours." Three said. "I hope the Republik doesn't take that the wrong way." One muttered.

The Being replied to the Pavlostanians:
The Tyillic Species was a semi-nomadic, bright race that lived for the serenity of keeping and distributing knowledge to other races. We had four arms and were bipedal,with scaly skin, and were a reptalian/primate species. Males had "lekku" (headtails). We depended on shipboard-raised animals to fuel their carnivorous diets and their homeworld Xillos to produce starships from the metal that was brought back. However, in the 17th century of their empire of knowledge, we were attacked.

The Pantheon of the Chosen was a cyborg collection of races whose only goal was to turn others into cyborg "gods" like them. Much like you. However, you are nothing like them besides that. You are not horribly scarred and mechanized, and still have free will. They sent their temple-ships by the thousands to destroy us,the Tyllics, but were repeatedly slaughtered. Still, they finally managed to gain traction, and slowly beat back the defenders, taking the empire world by world. The war had disastrous effects: almost all of us were killed, and Xillos overrun by the Pantheon, along with a hundred other worlds. 40 billion Tyllics died in the war, and another 6 billion were assimilated into the Pantheon, stripped of their free will, and slaved to combat overseers as shock forces. For some reason, the others molded and decomposed while in stasis, leaving me the only survivor, as far as I know. The Pantheon use numbers and simple plasma weapons to fight. However, you never would want to find yourself toe-to-toe with an assimilated Tyllic.

One of the Bridge Thegns turned away from his console. Høvedsmann Olav stood up from his commander's seat and walked over.
He then asked, "what is it, Høgloft?"
The Thegn pointed to a set of sentences on the screen, "some hours ago we detected the signature of a phase jump in this system," he pointed to a dot on the subsector map, "and we thought nothing of it, but now we've detected several signatures moving toward it, including Species 616. And I think this might warrant investigation."
Olav was still for a moment, then said, "Species 616? I don't think we've ever met them in person, just that one derelict vessel in
S-174. Take us there and use Sensor Disrupting Pattern when we're back in Realspace, hopefully we can get an overview of the situation before they notice we're there."

The Vikingr turned, and as it did so the uneven parts of the ship, the sensor array and various odds and ends, were engulfed in the white and blue of the Mist. As the drive powered up more and more of the ship was engulfed in white and blue, until they had completely entered Mist space.

The Being noted that a cataloged species was approaching the system. However, it thought nothing of it, knowing that the time to take action would be when they arrived. It turned back to watching unfolding events.

One looked around at his crew. V'ger He mouthed. The Pantheon seemed like a dark mirror of the Collective. It was incredibly likely that the V'ger probe had made it to the Tyillic species. There were even rumors of Unimatrix-000, a shadow Unimatrix that was twisted and did not answer to the Politburo or Premier.
We give our sorrow for your loss at the hands of the Pantheon. We may have encountered them here, a shadow group of our own, who do not follow our leaders. They represent the third greatest threat to our species. After Species 241 (The Inesean Confedercy) and Species 8472 (Which are just bedtime stories of a menace from deep space). Perhaps we could align ourselves against this Pantheon of yours.

The Being almost lost its composure, but stopped the torrent of rage, reminding itself that they were not the Pantheon.
My thanks to you, friend. But That would be an event for another time,-OOC-maybe i'll do one of that-but the Pantheon is Galaxies away. You would need Black Hole Warp Drives to arrive promptly. Not to worry though, the Pantheon has hit another massive spacefaring empire and is warring against them for now. It will be a time before they arrive here.

One was almost knocked out of his chair as the Being's wrath struck it. A quick thought saved him from destruction. He sent a message to the Being
If they are a rogue Unimatrix, then they have transwarp capabilities, and could come here rather quickly. We must constantly be vigilant.
Plan B was not the Collective's prefered method of working. Essentially, they hit the target with a tractor beam, fired a cutting beam and pull in a sliver of the target. Drones would procede to board in the hull breach and usually assimilate the ship, while the sliver of taken ship was examined and assimilated. It was looking as if the Collective would be forced to use this tactic with the Republik if language failed. One would give the Republik three days to communicate before he resorted to this tactic.
