In the end it's your choice, sail into a government controlled port and they would expect you to offer support. However if you sail into the southern ports then you run the risk of angering the King. Tricky situation either way.

I think I'll go for your capital, but I also kinda want to make a statement and go to all your ports at once. sigh..... if only I brought more than 3,000 men. So I take your sorcerer is one of your most powerful magic users right? I hope he doesn't mind not being to only magic user once my fleet arrives. I have a couple of mages on board.

Well he is the chief servant of a living God. That and the fact that he's the only one that Ka has chosen to reveal himself to. So yeah, not to be trifled with.

Visperia, that was a really cool post about the airship, but we actually got into a debate about airships once when I proposed a zeppelin unit, and in the end we scratched them because we decided it seemed to steampunk-ish. Nonetheless, I don't see any reason you should change the post; I think you should keep the airship, but limit yourself to just one that is super-powerful, and can't be replaced if destroyed- it could basically be a gift from your god or discovered already made, etc.

This would be great, as your company has the potential to either fail miserably or have actual political control over part of Numer. See, the "Houses" of Numer are not based on lineage; they are basically merchant families that have been established in business in their respective cities for so long that they literally control it (and are therefore a "House"). Now, if the East Empire Trading Company flourishes in Numer, it has the potential to become a House of its own- and if a reigning House is overthrown by the company, it can take over and place its own lugalesh in power, gaining control of a city. However this potential also means the Numerian Houses will hate the East Empire Company because of this threat it poses. As you can see, there are a number of cool ways we can go with this.

Sounds like a fine plan to me! Il through up a thread of how the east empire company who already has some established trade in Numer starts backing itself up. As well as trying to ally itself with the already existing houses.

Hey numer I just wanted to congradulate you and say im very impressed with your fact book! I read it to get a feel of your country before I wrote the intro to our trade rp and I must say very detailed good work!

Aw thanks! It took me awhile. I've always enjoyed your factbooks, from the Undead Palamecia to the Agrini Elves- your civilizations are always well-thought out and intriguing :)

My idea was that spell-powered flight, using enhanced horizontal and vertical sails, is still in the experimental stage. Visperia is a capitalist nation, and the applications of flight are more developed for civilian applications than for military. It's not 100% reliable, and the horizontal sails are extremely vulnerable to attack (the ship will drop like a rock if you manage to destroy those sails). This fits with the way magic works in my country: it's based off physical objects and the 'bloodmagic' of individuals. So more like technology and less like spells and magery.

I supposed the same thing when I came up with the zeppelin unit, and it makes sense, but then again, we are in Medieval Fantasy (based more on magic than technology) Tech, and we decided that using "fantasy tech" was essential Steampunk :/ What if it was based off of ancient blueprints that you're people then managed to replicate, but then lost the tech to create another one?

Mmm...I can definitely say that's the only military vessel available at the current time, or I could even make it so that we can't get the spells quite right for others for military applications, but I've already put mail/courier/light transport vessels in other RP's. I'd like others to weigh in.

Well you can have your one military vessel. And i'm willing to let your nation have its own internal zip line system of trolley transports for your mail. and transports through the mountains. But i'd like to keep that one ship as the only airship in the world.

Firstly, I know I volunteered to work on the map and all, but I'm still wondering at what point I was promoted to get the final say on things. I mean I'm honored guys! :) I have loved this group ever since I joined, and am happy to be a person to keep it running and together.

In other news Deneager I think we can let your charachter in. I'm also willing to let you use that charachter to build a nation of his followers, or since Knights of Kings has stepped down from his role (at least i'm pretty sure he has) as the head of all the undead legions, I think your guy (who already has necromancer like qualities) could be the new rising necromancer to step into the power gap the Queen of Parasites left with her downfall. I know you said you wanted to start down in the middle continent, but since your were originally thinking of claiming a place in the northlands where me and Promotheo are I think you could also start up there.

See I have actually been toying with the idea of starting a thread where my nation has a heated debate between my rulers over whether the dead should be cremated to prevent the dead being used as soldiers for necromancers, or should the desecration of the ancestors bodies be even comprehended. So while I have a heated debate, you could show up and enter one of my largely abandoned crypts and start rumaging around, further inciting the issue. Also Prometheo I would like to get you in this thread too. Have it take place after your To bed a king thread. That way we could legislate the decision we decide over the entire continent.

Anyway that could also give you an in and if you play your cards right and see the thread through I see no reason why you couldn't use what followers/ undead minions you get out of it to set your own place up north (or wherever you want for that matter)
