Name of Realm: the Sazaari Caliphate
Description of Realm (Paragraph): The Sazaari Caliphate used to be a scrabbling confederacy of tribes, battling for control of fisheries, mines, and land, when the Prophet Aqra arose preaching the philosophy of Salaa. He quickly began the unification of the Sazaari Archipelago, though he died soon after the Crusade of Unification, as it is called, began, naming his close friend Ahmad as his holy successor, or Caliph. Ahmad completed the unification, and the Caliphate was born. Other religions are tolerated in the Caliphate, but their followers must pay slightly higher taxes than Islaans (followers of Salaa) for their right to do so. The Caliphate is rather pushy about its faith, but also is deeply devoted to its stability and the sciences. Due to its location and geography, it has a large and well-equipped, well-trained fleet, and a fairly small army. Often the army is not present during a campaign, and only naval personnel will make up an army. Awadh is the largest city, home to a tenth of the country's inhabitants, followed by Shadoor, home to a further million people. Golems and djinns, both of which are artificial magical creatures, are common there, and are the source of much of the Caliphate's power, wealth, and technology.

Went back and noticed that Saybel was approved; new claimants to the land can work it out with him if he's still interested.

Changed the color of the water since it was way too hard to distinguish the continents and especially lakes and rivers in unclaimed territory. As a result of the change though I still have a ton of cleaning to do but figured I'd put it up for review first.

Hey. Sorry that I have been so inactive as of late. I will be fairly more active over the course of the next week or so, trying to get back to my rp's. Then I think I will have another 1 week pause before resuming to my original activity.

I am also thinking of perhaps having a semi revolution in my nation/ change the parts I haven't fully revealed. Right now I'm stuck with whether or not to go kinda X-men with my nation. Basically the idea in my head is to have parts of my nation who believe they are superior to all other mortals, and that lesser being be used as slaves, or harvested to increase the powers of the "gifted" (Read the Brotherhood of mutants) and then of course the opposite faction (X-men) who shelter all forms of the extraordinary, and think that it is the "gifted"s responsibility to protect the others.

Now I only have to tie in my religion to this (which im working on) and have a minor civil war/ division. I might have a truce between the two factions, so it is still one nation, or split my nation in two, with the different people on each side.

Description of Realm (Paragraph): Mermada is an archipelagos kingdom made up of several islands, each drastically different from the rest. The main similarity between the islanders is their prowess on the high seas and their desire to remain independent of the ever growing mainland kingdoms, which prompted the islands to join together in a sense to remain separate. The throne is not passed from father to son but is instead chosen from a council of the five most powerful lords in Mermada (as each was a king before the unification).

Why you wish to join: I'm coming off of a GOT high...enough said It's also been a long time since my last big RP and since I've improved a lot as a writer in that long year i've been looking for a new RP to join

So I was unable to find the person who claimed the Lost Isles and I'm pretty anxious to start RPing so I have decided to just change my claim to somewhere that (hopefully) has no claims on it.

Name of Realm: The Highland of Mermada
Description of Realm (Paragraph):
The fundamental social bond in Mermadonian society is that of kinship. Descent isagnatic, with members of a group sharing a (sometimes fictional) common ancestor, in the other places this is often reflected in a common surname. Unlike in other regions, where kinship was predominately cognatic (derived through both males and females), women retained their original surname at marriage and marriages were intended to create friendship between kin groups, rather than a new bond of kinship. As a result, a shared surname has been seen as a "test of kinship", proving large bodies of kin who could call on each other’s support and this could help intensify the idea of the feud, which was usually carried out as a form of revenge for a kinsman and for which a large bodies of kin could be counted to rally to the banner and raise arms in defense of their kin. The largest of these kin groups are known as clans.

There are five clans in Mermada, the Emeralds, Darklys, Griffins, Snows, and Fords. The Kingship of Mermada is not a hereditary title but is instead voted upon by the five clan heads. A Thane (or land owning noble) or chief from each clan is nominated by popular vote to be decided upon by the council of clan elders.

Traditionally the Merma are very isolated and suspicious of the outside world. Historically they have been too internally conflicted to consider expansion abroad but trade between Mermada and the outside world has flourished in recent years.

So, tell me, why are Avalon's claims which are being done through a claim with Achesia, why are mine missing but his included?

No idea. I simply copied whatever was on the most recent 'official' map and added whatever was approved after that. If there's an issue with your claims, it most likely lies with whoever was updating the map previously. The only changes I made were for players who lodged updates or who were recently approved to join, plus minor cleaning and corrections. I didn't remove any territorial claims.
