I was looking at your "Reach" thread; if that conflict moves closer to the coast, the Tansa Kantai will spot the ruckus, since it's pretty close (armies moving around mebbe 50 mi away?) to the meeting between the fleet and Lateral Treaty in the Sail thread.

EDIT: I also hate to nag, but someone approved Connori Pilgrims into the world as the Fremen Empire. Whenever ya'll get the chance, it would be much appreciated if he were added to the map. His claims are in the update/application threads.

Dbrought/Knights of kings: Can one of you get a reply up on the Whaler's Dirge at some point this week? I understand that there's a lot going on for people, myself included, but I just want to conserve momentum.

I'll have to have a look at the Achesian expansion thread at some point. It's hardly something the Lateral Treaty can ignore.

II would like to protest angle's claims that wwill ddouble his lands in size. To ttake that much land rrequires alot of effort, due to the amount of resisting people. From what i've read, i don't think aa few pyrrhic victories quite cut it for claiming that much land. it would be good if more were posted and developed before being allowed to actually claim that tterritory.

I don't know, I'm conquering a land size that is as many provinces as I currently have and is something like five times the population size.

I say that after awhile it will almost be inevitable. According to history the Numerians were conquered by Achesia it would make sense for either a war of revenge or Achesia trying to return there.

It's not the size, it's the speed at which it's being done.

Then i will edit my posts to adjust for time gaps. I usually focus on one battle, someone talking, etc. A lot of stuff gets left out. I don't exactly get that much free time.

probably. 4-post doubling a realm's territory that easily can set a really bad precedent. time or no time, it would be nicer to take it far, far more slowly. the rp talks of "many, many" battles. you could go over them, rather than glossing them over.

it does feel like you're trying to hastily lay claim to it just so that you don't have to worry about other players' interference.

Hey all, I've been interested in joining this group for a while now, just never had the chance until now since classes are over. Here is my app.

Name of Realm: Order of Nauri

Description of Realm (Paragraph): The Order of Nauri is a union of eight city-states, each controled by a major tribe of common ancestry. Before this union was formed, these tribes had wars with each other for a century. The tribes are; The Naur Tribe: A tribe that consist of intelligent warriors, who highly value pure physical and especially mental strength; The Malcia Tribe: A tribe of seafarers who greatly appreciate the craft of shipbuilding; The Aradis Tribe: Dwellers of the driest region in the Nauri homeland, their knowledge of irrigation techniques and plant breeding make them the most expert farmers of Nauri; The Fudan Tribe: Living in the mountains of Nauri, they are excellent mountain climbers and even greater archers; The Udera Tribe: The horse riders of eastern Nauri; The Sayal Tribe: A productive tribe consisting of mostly blacksmiths and other craftsmen; The Valcia Tribe: Home to the greatest alchemists in Nauri history, the people are renowned for their deadly poisons as well as their life saving medicinal potions; The Ilnas Tribe: Composed of magic users who survived the war, the Ilnas Tribe are the foremost magic users in all of Nauri. Though these city-states act seperately for the most part, when it comes to matters that concern all of Nauri, such as trade or war, the leaders convene in what is known as The Council of Nexus. The Council is led by the leader of the Naur tribe, who is referred to as the Overseer, while the remaining tribal leaders are referred to as Regents.

Demonym: Half-Orc, Half-Elf

Race: Half-Orc

Languages: Common, Naurian

Religion: Agnostic

Head of State: Overseer Anusai Naur

Seat of Power: Council of Nexus

Population: 13,000,000

RL Fluency in English: Native

Example of previous RP (For use by mods to determine category): Crisis on the Aluvian Seas

Anusai sat quietly, simply watching as things started to heat up. He had figured that this would at best be an uneasy alliance. If it were not for their impending doom, Anusai would never in a million years make any kind of diplomatic relation with some of these nations. Akemi finally calmed things down giving Anusai time to finally speak.

"Well, now that everything is under control again I can finally have my say", Anusai said as he rose from his seat. I'll be glad to lend you my own forces Queen Akemi, however I will have to speak with the other tribes of my land as well to see if they would also be willing to do so. Have no worries though, I'm sure that if I bring up our current situation they would no doubt lend a hand. I know for a fact that the Malcia Tribe would be glad to help construct ships for you, since they are the foremost experts of ship construction in all of Nauri."

"Now then..." Anusai gave a quick glance towards Atriel, "I understand what you are trying to say Atriel, however the odds of that succeeding are slim to none. I could only imagine the kind of propaganda that the Duel Crown Alliance spread throughout their empire to demonize our nations. Granted there could be some who would listen to our plight, but I assure you that brainwashing is very effective when being subjected to it each and every day. By now, those who might have once opposed the empire may no longer even exist, since there is no telling how brutal they are to dissenters. I do commend you for bringing up this alternative, and I'm sure it would have worked if we had carried it out sooner. However, I fear that it is much too late for there to be a peaceful solution to this issue."

Anusai took to his seat once more, "War seems to be the only choice right now, and even a preemptive strike wouldn't be effective at this point. No matter what we do it will be bloody, that is a natural outcome of war after all. I say that we dig in our heels and turn this into a war of attrition if we have to. Once they come to our territory, we will have the upper hand. For the most part they would have to sail to us, meaning that they will have a limited supply of resources. If we can stop their initial invasion, it is very possible for us to gain the upper hand if we act fast. Although I honestly can't say anything in the event that their invasion succeeds, except that we must fight hard, to the last soldier if necessary since, at least for us, surrender isn't an option.

Right now the Numerians are attempting to forge an empire to their east; my goal is to eventually reach the desert drakes (those are like smaller dragons right?) and tame them. Until then, the Numerians are trying to carefully pick allies and focus on trade in concern to international relations.

Also, Angle, I suggest you don't think of war RPs as a simple means to get new lands and resources, etc. You can make them much more fun by putting in other POVs and dramatic moments.

There is a very good possibility we may end up in conflict, given that my troops are pressing south to evict the half-orcs living in that area to secure the border between my continental territories and the remaining half-orc lands.
