Space does not have a standing electromagnetic field thus there is nothing for the EMP to propagate through. EMP only works if the point of generation is in direct contact with the hull of the target.

I'm not arguing that fighters are necessarily the most effective option or even a smart one, but merely that they can be used effectively. Even though drones and PD are better. To cut a long story short, my history holds that this works within the Alkirienid Interior Collective, and it's how my people view this. These other concepts are unfamiliar to them IC, so I'll let it rest with that.

Also, by 17230 and the Catastrophe/Ripple Transcendence/ Ascension, the Escalan are. . . different. Radically so.

Or, like my fusion missiles, they have proximity fuses. Oh, and if the missiles are RKVs you're just screwed.

Just making sure we laid that to rest. My main source of irritation is the slamming we give people who try to use fighters. Constructive criticism/ why other options are better is good. Raging is bad.

It mostly irritates me because, to me, the reasons they're bad are so obvious. I've saved my rant to file so that if anyone asks I can give them a document that is well thought out and rational and doesn't rage. That way, if they ask I can tell them why not and allow them to decide for themselves.
