1. We have sub-machine guns?
2. Machine guns at the time are awfully difficult to fire and hold while standing up.
3. Machine guns are often carried by a crew.
4. This guy held a heavy pre-1910 war era and fired it around while walking?

Please re-consider some things, yes you can have strong main characters, but was there a need to try to make the guy look so badass? I'm certain that going into war against the westerners with that kind of action will get the character shot off by some random non-main character enemy infantryman.

Agreed. Even the Lewis gun required a prone position to fire.

I enjoy the study of the parallels that often occur between literature and history, even if (and often especially if) not intended by the author.

The survivors of the Voerdish army will rally at Pfalls, then, in the north, which is where the cabinet will be evacuated to. Do I have permission to RP that element of the Voerdish army?

Oh, this could be fun. Hmhmhmhmhm. I wish to RP the mass evacuation of at least a few groups of Mishmahigian Christians, but I feel as if the New Voerish free state would be annoyed by that. Interesting.

The Voerdish Free State, or the Republic of Nova Voerda? I thought you had pledged your support of the rebels, or was that only before they declared independence?

EDIT: I guess you do mean the Old State/Voerdish Free State because they're the ones accused of being genocidal. Silly me.

Well, neither group would be particularly happy, but most likely the Republic of Nova Voerda, although perhaps I could use the threat of revoking our recognition/denying humanitarian aid to get them to agree. Possibilities are endless, yes they are....

No, I condemned the Voerish Free State, which sort of implied recognition of the rebels. I'm perfectly happy with the way you RPed the latest post.

Oh man, am I swamped! I should have my post up soon though. When I do, I shall post here OOC: dividing up my post into smaller, understandable chunks directed at the appropriate people (Letters, ideas, and events... all in spoilers).

@Fan and Dal RE: Radios - Okey Dokey then... I shall refrain.

@Mish - My post is long, but the reason why I don't have it done is I haven't had time to work on it. I do now, so it should be up soon.

@Vitz - I am interested in your coalition offer... as mentioned previously, I am having Vinchero organize a task force and personally lead it to relieve the foreigners trapped in Beufort. May I sail IC to Vitzburg and discuss the Alliance with her personally? Vinchero is willing to provide transport for your power armored troops if needed. I will have logistics and plans and particulars - all that good stuff - IC, but I want to know if you are interested first... please respond!

@Conscentia - History Nazis Strike Again!

Alrighty, to work on my post!

When it was easier to spell and had a better ring to it than "Republic of New Voerdeland." Plus, why not? A lot of places IRL take their names from Latin. Look at "America," named after the feminized Latin form of Amerigo Vespucci (Americus Vespucius), who was falsely credited with discovering the New World by Martin Waldseemüller, the first cartographer to produce a map of the world that included the New World.

Because of the civil war that still ravages the land, with the old state clashing with the new one. Besides, Archpriest Meza will see it as a powerplay, a chance to undermine or influence the new government before it becomes fully stabilized.

Hey, he may be old and religious, but he's smart and cunning too. Don't worry, I'll kill him off before long (he's like 60 something anyway).

Also, just going to wait for Inoroth before I make a post.

That makes sense because the Europeans ignored & erased much of native American history.

The only way Nova Voerda would make sense would be if an Amplectorian decided that Voerderland needed a rename.
